She shook her head slightly and gave a bit of a smile as she looked him up and down. "Naw, you'd be too long for the couch. Take the bed. You're under my care and no guest of mine will be on the couch," she snorted as she tugged the comb from his hair ten gave him a hand on the couch again. She reached to start brushing the ends of his hair out where it was a bit longer before working further and further back until she'd gotten all the knots out then went to another section of his hair... he hadn't asked her for help, but he was going to get it if he liked it or not. "The doctor - sorry, I mean your dad is going to miss you," she told him with a teasing laugh, knowing full well the man wasn't really his dad, even if that was what it'd come to seem that way.

Sage huffed out a breath and rolled his eyes when the girl started working on his hair. "I hate to steal your bed though," he hummed. He didn't really pay any attention to what the girl was doing to his hair...he didn't particularly care. But her hands running through his hair was comforting...it felt nice in a way. He shorted louder when she said the doctor was his father. "Aw, the old man will probably enjoy the peace, without the two of us invading his privacy all day long," he chuckled. He'd miss the man too, but that was normal, he supposed.

The girl shrugged a little when he said he'd hate to steal the bed... really, she didn't care, she'd just feel better if he took the room. He'd feel safer in there than out in the living room where pretty much anyone could get to him, she was sure of it. She huffed and briefly placed the hand from his hair onto his cheek. "Don't worry about it. It's not for long, anyway," the girl promised gently before going back to messing with his hair. She almost jumped a little when he snorted about the doctor, not expecting to be quite so loud. She chuckled, though, and shook her head. "Me? Invade his privacy? Never!"

Sage sighed and shrugged. "Fine, I'll steal the room and invade your privacy," he joked, a blush darkening his cheeks when the girl placed her hand there. Well, he was glad she couldn't see that. He felt the warmth even after the girl went back to combing out his hair. He chuckled slightly and shrugged. "No, not at all," he hummed. "Though I was the one going through drawers," he admitted with a chuckle.

The girl couldn't help a silly little giggle that escaped her when he told her he'd invade her privacy. "Privacy? I never had any of that," she mused with a slight shake of the head. "I have two brothers, remember? As long as you don't go through my draws we won't have an issue," she chirped lightly as she found a snag in his hair and gave it a small tug then brushed the rest through, clearly enjoying giving the boy a bit of a pamper. Once she was done she place a finger under his chin and gently move his head from side to side before grinning and patting his cheek. "Gorgeous!" She chirped before letting him go again.

Sage chuckled and shrugged, agreeing with the girl. "That's true," he hummed. "I suppose they can be sneaky." After a moment he asked "older or younger?" He was curious...he'd only had a younger sister, Liz, and well....she was gone now. He'd also never had a very functional family, so he did want to know what a normal family situation looked like. He was afraid he was rather unaccustomed to that situation. He'd loved Liz, but even she had to be much more mature than what she should have been, since he was working all the time. He nodded slightly when she said not to go through her drawers, and chirped "I won't intrude too much" before feeling his cheeks heat up slightly when the girl tilted his chin up and patted his cheek. He gave her a crooked grin though, and chuckled. "I doubt that, but I suppose I'll take your word for it," he admitted. He hadn't really seen himself in a mirror recently...but he knew he had plenty of scars.

Mari grinned when he asked about her brothers. She did love them... they all looked after each other, and she supposed that was nice. She didn't have much in life, but she had them, and that was just about all she could ever want. "Both. One is ten and the other is twenty three," she hummed lightly at the boy before sitting back a little bit. "You'll get on with the both of them, I'm sure," she hummed lightly. "And the cat," she added with a light chuckle. She ran her hand though his hair one more time before giving a bit of a frown when he noted that he doubted it. She wasn't going to lie and say he was the most unattractive person she'd ever seen... he was actually quite handsome. But she couldn't say that without it coming out oddly. So she jumped up and took his hands in hers and dragged him over to a mirror. "Look! Gorgeous," she giggled lightly as she rested her head on his shoulder with a big grin.

Sage chuckled and nodded when she told him about her brothers, and then grinned wider when she mentioned the cat. "I might steal the animal," he joked lightly. Then he huffed slightly, and let out a rather surprised yelp when she dragged him over to the mirror. He gave the girl a rather amused look and chuckled. "yeah, if we're talking about your reflection," he hummed, nudging the girl lightly. His own face looked so much ..rougher than the girls. Almost like the weathered face of an old man. He supposed he was old, technically...he'd never expected to live this long. He supposed he was old to many.

The girl rolled her eyes at him and poked his rib playfully. "Don't be like that." The girl slicked his hair back a bit with her hand and gave a soft smile. "And look at your eyes! You can't say that they aren't something look at," she hummed gently before wrapping an arm around his waist in a friendly manner. He looked worn and rough, but that didn't mean to say he was ugly. Not at all. Quite the opposite, actually, or so she thought. She had to say he looked a fair bit older than she did, though... she never really noticed, but she just seemed a little less weathered than he did. She still had things difficult down in the slums, but she supposed she didn't get herself in trouble the way he had. She then hummed in thought before shaking her head. "How old are you, again?" She assumed the boy would be a similar age to her... she was about a year or so younger than Anya, and apparently both Sage and Anya were the same age, so it couldn't be too far off.

Sage chuckled softly and rolled his eyes, a light blush tinting his cheeks when the girl complimented his eyes. He leaned his head over and rested it on the girls shoulder when she wrapped her arms around his waist, humming thoughtfully. "A few months younger than Anya," he mused. "I don't know when exactly my birthday is...sometime early spring. Anyas is in the fall sometime, so maybe five months or so? Dunno," he admitted. He glanced over at the girl and furrowed his brows thoughtfully. "You look about Anyas age too," he hummed. He wrinkled his nose slightly in an amused manner. "Though I think I look older than both of you combined sometimes," he laughed.
