The girl glanced to Sage with a bit of a nod when he mentioned that they had enough... well, she knew that, she'd just been wanting him to meet the woman over dinner, what she didn't want was for them to run into each other during the night and scare the living daylights out of each other. "I suppose," the girl huffed slightly. She then put four plates out for her and the three boys, and dished up a bit of salad for each of them. "He is nice.. they both are. Anthony is always a little bit tired after work but he'll be more lively in the morning," she told him with a bit of a smile. "And if you make a bit of an effort with Xander you'll have a friend for life with him too," she noted with a small chuckle before calling the child through and telling him to sit at the table while they waited for Anthony to reappear. Once he had, they all sat down to eat, and in truth she was rather happy with the way things were going... the youngest of the four tried to make a bit of conversation with Sage, which she definitely saw as a good thing. Anthony kind of kept Mari and Sage an arms length away from one another, but he was being friendly so she didn't particularly care. She washed up once they were all done while the boys ended up playing a couple of bored games together, at which point her mother had finally shown up. Mari went to get a quick shower and changed while the woman was eating, then put Xander to bed and found herself wrapped up in a blanket on the couch as she waited for Sage, Anthony and her mother to finish up whatever they were doing so she could get herself to sleep. Her mother soon left for bed, leaving Sage and Anthony playing chess. Soon enough they'd stared to pack up, though, so the girl sprawled out on the couch then curled up on the end with a bit of a yawn as they scurried around, readying themselves for bed.

Sage enjoyed dinner,he really did. He was glad to talk with Xander, and seemed to be able to not make the younger boy so nervous. Anthony went to bed soon after dinner, but Xander wanted to play chess, so he agreed to it. Mari seemed tired, so he'd cut it short at one game. He hadn't really gotten a chance to meet her mother, but she was tired, so he let her eat and go to bed. He told Xander to go to bed after the game, and got him ready since Mari was half asleep on the couch. He went out then and chuckled slightly. "Go to sleep," he hummed. "Well all be alright," he told her before wandering off to the bedroom. The cat followed him, curling up against his chest as soon as he lay down and got cozy.

Mari was definitely glad to see him enjoying his time with her family... she was aware that he hadn't seen much of her mother, but the woman had said a brief hello and had been friendly enough. There shouldn't have been anything that'd happened to make Sage feel unwelcomed... or, she hoped not. When the boy told her to go to sleep, she found herself a little bit... well, lost. She was always the last person asleep, but he was right... everyone was fine, she didn't have to worry about running after him right then. If he needed anything he was in the room over, and she could deal with it when it happened. The girl gave a bit of a smile and waved him off before flopping back on the couch with a soft sigh. "Goodnight," she hummed gently before curling up under the blankets and getting herself to sleep.

Sage fell asleep rather quickly, considering he was in a new place. But the bed was incredibly comfortable, and he had the cut curled up against him, which was also pretty nice. He really liked the cat...Mari had been right about that. He woke up relitively early, but decided he didn't really want to go back to sleep. The cat was up too, so he figured he'd see if anyone else was awake. Mari's mother would most likely be up...get things ready before she left for work. He wasn't sure about anyone else though...maybe Anthony, though it was still pretty early. Oh well. He slipped out of the bedroom quietly, cat in his arms.

Mari slept though most of the night without an issue... she found that she had so many problems sleeping in the castle, but she supposed this was just... nicer. In her own home, where she knew she was safe. She woke up once or twice throughout the night, but only when the cat was deciding who she was going to sleep with. She assumed the thing had eventually settled for Sage, though. She woke up to the sound of her mother boiling porridge in a pan, and her younger brother sat at the table, and then the flash of Sage wandering out of her room with a bundle of orange fluff in his arms... still, she just turned her head into the pillow as she tried to get back to sleep... it was the weekend, so they weren't really working very much... her mother might go and check on the bakery, but that was just about it.

Sage noticed Mari turn back into the pillow and felt the corner of his mouth drift upwards in a rather amused smile. That was fine...the girl could sleep. They could be quiet. He slipped into the chair next to Xander when he saw the cat and grinned. At least, sage assumed it was the cat. Xander reached over right away to pat her on the head. He quickly asked to play chess again, which sage agreed to with a nod. He whispered to be quiet with a nod in Maris direction as a warning to the boy before the started playing, though. The boy nodded, and soon enough they were engrossed in chess. They played for a while...sage decided to not crush the boy every single time. He could let the boy win sometimes and get some peices. The sun had risen by the time the finished their first game, and the boy quietly begged for another, which sage also agreed to. The cat had curled up in his lap by then, and he absentmindedly stroked her while he played.

The girl gave a bit of a sigh when the boy sat on the side of the couch where they were playing chess. She was half asleep, but she could tell that Sage was letting the boy win a bit... so once she forced herself awake, she poked her head over Sages shoulder to watch what he was doing before reaching over and moving one of his pawn that he was clearly holding out against her brother so that he could finish the game. She then gave a grin and rested her head on his chin. "Having fun?" She asked with a bright but tired smile.

Sage glanced over at the girl when she moved the lawn and chuckled slightly with a nod. "We are," he hummed and Xander responded in a more enthusiastic way. The cat popped her head up out of his lap when she heard Anyas voice and looked at the girl expectantly, even though she was quite obviously already being loved on. He glanced over at the kitchen, where the older lady (he didn't really know he name yet) was finishing up breakfast. "I think breakfast is almost ready," he hummed. "I didn't expect you to be up this early though," he admitted with a chuckle.

The girl hummed a bit of a nod to the boy. "I'm not usually up early but you woke me up," she hummed tiredly before looking towards the older woman who was stood up by the cooker. She seemed tired, but she supposed that just came with age. "What's she making?" She asked with a cocked head as she perched her head on his shoulder again. Her voice was still light, though she was a bit gritty from sleep. Tired, she supposed. She hadn't done very much the day before, but she normally worked weekends... it was weird to not have to go to the castle for once.

Sage chuckled slightly. "I told you to stay in your room," he hummed. "Even if you're on the floor if you insist I need a bed," he added in a rather amused tone. "Or move the couch in there or something," he suggested. "That way you can actually get some sleep." He shrugged slightly at the girl's question and hummed in thought. "I'm not sure," he admitted. "I haven't gone over there or talked to her yet." He shrugged slightly, so as not to bump the girl around, gesturing for the younger boy to start cleaning the chess set up.
