Elara shrugged when he asked, swallowing the bite she took. "Eh, pretty average. Woke up before dawn, caught this, been here for who knows how long." She mused, watching as Varys settled down next to Sage. |

Sage nodded, glancing at the fox pelt that hung nearby. "I can tan and preserve that today," he noted, not wanting to feel completely useless. He couldn't work on the cabin or anything, but then again it was pretty solid for now. So it would be fine. He just wanted to do.... something. At least he could do that sitting down. |

"That'd be useful," She deemed, swinging her gaze to the pelt for only a moment before flicking it back to her plate. Elara finished off the fox and took Liz's plate before sliding them over to the small pile she'd made. |

Sage nodded in response to her comment, glad he could be useful for at least something. Once she'd taken the empty plates, he moved to grab the fox pelt and a few tools before taking his dagger out and working on defleshing it, so he could dry it out and tan it. It would make a nice coat or blanket. |

Varys eyed something before darting off into the woods, fully sprinting. "Always forget how fast he can be," Elara mused quietly, standing. Liz followed her into the house, where Elara went through her weapons and such. She could use some new arrows and a winter coat, as the cold months were approcahing quickly. As of now the weather was a casual tempature, somewhere in the 60's which made for a nice day. |

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment about Varys. "Me too," he admitted. "He acts like a lap dog so often I sometimes forget he's a wild animal," he added fondly, going back to his own work as the girls went back into the cabin to do....whatever they were doing. It was good for Liz to have a woman to look up to. Learn from. He was glad to have Elara there anyway. |

Elara laughed softly at the man's reaction, continuing inside. <><><><><> So far she had taught Liz that if she ever dropped a knife and didn't realize, if Liz were to ever pick up a blade she would only grab it by the handle and give it to Elara ASAP. Elara didn't like the toddler even touching knives at such a age, wanting to keep them away until she was atleast a few years older. The woman sharpened her daggers and tips of her arrows, setting them back into their sheaths before tyding up the cabin. |

Sage sat outside for a while, tanning the hide and just enjoying the fresh air. The feeling of the breeze and sun on his face. He'd missed it, being cooped up in the house for so long. Eventually though, he was done, and he moved back into the cabin since that was where the rest of his....whatever they were.....had settled. They weren't really family, but it sort of felt that way by now, he supposed. It was an odd concept. |

Elara was humming a tune when Sage moved back in, looking up and offering him a soft smile. "Hey," She greeted, finishing sweeping and putting the broom up. The woman grabbed a comb and sat on the edge of the bed, Varys hopping up next to her as she let her hair down. It flowed to half way down her next, radiating the small streams of sunlight trickling in. Elara brushed the comb through her hair, wincing as she pulled out a knot before pulling it back up into a bun. Liz was up, running over to Sage. She smiled, watching the girl run to him. "She missed you for sure," Elara paused, thinking of what to say next. "We both did." |

Sage greeted Elara lightly when she spoke up, and grinned when Liz ran over to him. Well, at least she didn't forget him while he was gone. She was young enough and he was gone long enough it had definitely been possible, especially since he wasn't around much when she was in the school. He scooped the little girl up happily, and then moved to plop down in a chair with her in his lap. "I missed you guys too," he murmured, running his fingers through Liz's hair as she curled into his chest. "It's good to be back," he added, giving Elara a soft smile. It was a heavy one for sure...a silent thanks for getting him away from Amy. Somewhere safe. Being willing to help him so much. |
