The girl squeaked again when the boy went to knock her down once more. She landed with a soft thump and a massive splash, but her laugh hadn't really stopped... her dress was completely soaked though now, so there wasn't really much chance of it drying off before they got back. Whatever, she didn't care... she really was having fun. Her brother started bombarding her with water again. She giggled as she splashed him back, but the child soon ran off when something else had gotten his attention. When she'd gotten her breath back, she splashed Sage playfully from where she was sat in the water and looked to her brother, who'd by now started drawing in the wet sand, and he was soaked though, but seemed to be enjoying himself well.

Sage felt a wide grin split his face when he succeeded in knocking the girl over, and joined the other two people in splashing eachother for the few wild minutes before Xander ran off again. He splashed the girl back when he felt the water on his skin, though it was small, and playful, but they were pretty much done splashing eachother by then, so it let it end. He watched the boy start drawing in the sand before falling backwards to float on top of the water, closing his eyes with an exhausted sigh and just sort of let the sun warm his face. "He has a lot more energy than me," he chuckled lightly.

Mari smiled to the boy when he let himself float in the water and reached out to slick his hair back in an almost teasing way, knowing it wasn't a particularly good look on him. She glanced back at her brother with a slightly more gentle smile before shaking her head. "He's ten, and you're god knows how old," she mused before rolling her eyes slightly. "Though, I do think I met five year old Sage and Mr. Stubborn Sage today," she told him with a playful chuckle. "I'm soaked now," she complained, though there was a slight sense of pure joy about her after all that.

Sage chuckled slightly when the girl reached over to mess with his hair and opened his eyes to look over at her with a grin. "That would be as old as you," he hummed rather teasingly. He chuckled again and shrugged. "Five year old sage comes out every now and then," he chuckled. "Stubborn sage comes around much more often." He gave the girl a mischievous grin at her complaint, a slight giggle coming from his throat. "Aw, you love me anyway," he cooed in a purely playful manner.

The girl cocked her head slightly when he mentioned he was the same age as her. They gone over this, but it was still odd to think, it really was. "I think you're lying to me," she teased lightly before rolling her eyes. She was still sat in the water, but it surprisingly wasn't too cold... it was getting warmer out anyway, so she was pretty content. She then grinned at the boy and gave a jokey chuckle. "I like it when both the Sages combine... that make a fun Sage," she chirped lightly. She did like him anyway... but it really was nice to see that he him loosen up a bit, and she was glad he dragged her into it. She then pursed her lips as though she was thinking before sticking her tongue out at him. "You wish," she huffed sarcastically before poking him so he drifted off a little bit with an amused chuckle.

Sage chuckled at the girl's scoff and shrugged as well as he could while staying afloat. "Nope," he chirped happily, giving the girl a crooked grin at her next comments. He let out a tiny giggle when the girl poked him, since he admittedly found it rather amusing that he floated off a bit. "Oh please," he hummed. "It's rather hard to hide. Everyone knows I'm your most favorite person ever," he teased the girl lightly. Her family would obviously really be in that position, of course, but he could tease...and they had become pretty close the past weeks.

The girl huffed out a type of breath to the boy before shaking her head again, though the smile that split her face told him that she really was quite amused by the whole thing. "Fine, you caught me," she huffed before moving a little bit so that she was leaning over him where he was floating. "I love you oh so very much, and you're my favourite person to ever to have ever exitsted in the entire universe," she hummed in a sarcastic tone of voice and a playful pout. She was joking, really... but that didn't mean that she didn't like him. She actually did, and she considered him to be one of very few of the patients she worked with to actually be a friend... they just seemed to have clicked quite quickly, despite the two of them being reluctant to get on at first.

Sage couldn't help but let out a delighted giggle at the girl's teasing. Really, teasing his friends was quite fun, and when they carried it on for a bit, it was even more so, especially when they managed to beat him. Maybe that was why he always started something with Anya in hopes of her flustering him...because as embarrassing as it was, it meant she knew him well enough to get him that way. Well, either way, he did like just joking around with his friends...and Mari seemed to be a good one, so he was more than happy to play around with the girl. It seemed odd, how at first he'd been quite the little prick towards the girl, even if he hadn't exactly meant to be like that. And now they were good friends. He wouldn't go as far as to say best friends...he definitely knew Anya better, and he was sure the girl had her own really good friends. Other maids, perhaps, or a neighbor. But they were good friends all the same, and it was fun to be around her.

Mari hummed in response to his childish little giggle before pushing him away in the water again with her pinky finger with her own little chuckle before standing up and making her way out of the water again it was getting cold in there and they been in the water for about an hour now... none of them could afford to catch any kind of illness right now. As the water dripped off her dress, she felt it starting to stick to her legs, and it honestly was just about one of the worst feelings ever, so went to Xanders big bag of things, only to find that he'd completely filled the thing with towels... she had no idea what he was planning to do with them all, but it did amuse her. She grabbed the boys dry pair of clothes and told him to go get changed behind a rock... she didn't care if she got a bit of a cold, she had the doctor to go to if she really had to, but that would cost money they just didn't have... but little Xander was even less likely to be able to get help if he needed it, so when he reappeared, the girl chucked a towel at him and told him to dry his hair off, because it was still dripping wet. She then looked to Sage, who was still floating about. It did amuse her, she had to admit that.
