Sage chuckled and nodded, trying to keep a poker face even though he could feel the heat flowing no matter how hard he tried to stop it. "Yes, you just love it. It totally turns you on," he hummed, eyes still glittering with a teasing light. He was playing, that was it, though he was enjoying it more than probably should, considering it was still early morning. He giggled at Mari's cat interpretation, rolling his eyes slightly and going back to petting the animal once she settled back down in his lap again. "That was bold, considering that comment is coming from a cat," he giggled, though of course he didn't really mind at all. In fact, it was quite the opposite...joking around with the girl was nice. Anthony had still been keeping an eye on the two of them, though he'd seemed more at ease the more he got to know sage, which was normal he supposed. But he was still asleep, and Xander wasn't running around talking....it was peaceful out here with the girl. And cat of course. Don't get me wrong, he loved Xander and enjoyed the boys company, but sometimes the quiet was nice.

The girl gave another kind of childish giggle to the boy at his first comment and bumped his side again when his face get even redder if that was even possible at this point. "Hmm... yeah, it's my dream," the girl purred lightly, rolling her eyes at the idea... she'd seen people covered in the most awful things, and while sweat wasn't much medically wise, she certainly wasn't going to cuddle up with someone covered in sweat. She didn't think much of herself - but she definitely didn't think that little of herself. She grinned when he mentioned her little cat interpretation and gave a bit of a nod. "Yep, she's a bold cat, aren't you Ginge?" She hummed and she went to tickle under the cat's chin before falling down onto the grass with a soft sigh.

Sage chuckled slightly at the girl's tease, and batted at her side playfully when she nudged him, grinning dumbly at both the girl and the cat. "Well, her personality goes right along with yours then," he chuckled, teasing the girl a little bit, though really mostly letting the teasing drop. He reached for the short to slide it back on so he could flip down next to the girl. That was mostly because the grass could get itchy and pokey, and he didn't feel like irritating his skin at all. The grass here was mostly soft, but he didn't really want to end up with tiny cuts in his back. Those always annoyed him to no end. The cat curled up in his chest, a purr vibrating her entire body as he reached over to stroke her. He felt a smile spread his mouth a bit, and closed his eyes with a content sigh. The sun felt nice, and he had to admit, relaxing a bit was nice too.

Mari laughed a beat or two before shaking her head. "We're similar people, the cat and I," she mused, really just talking rubbish now. She watched as the clouds rolled past, a small smile laying across her face. She really did enjoy her time with Sage... they just seemed to have gotten along very quickly, which was a bit odd because there was something in her that had wanted him to be as stubborn and as entitled as she'd originally thought he'd be... well, she didn't want him to be that way, but that was what she expected from him... and she was glad he wasn't, despite what she was expecting. After a moment or so, the girl rolled onto her side and reached to fuss the cat on his chest, her smile still very present. "I say we wait for everyone else to wake up and then we can make our way back," she told him with a bit of a groan, really not looking forwards to having to, well, move.

Sage chuckled slightly and patted the cat before looking over at the girl. "You and the cat even look alike," he chuckled. "Except for the hair color." Even their eyes were similar shades of green. He admittedly found it rather amusing, though it was less teasing and just noting the fact by then. He nodded when she suggested just laying in the sun until everyone else woke up. He'd chopped enough wood to last them a while, so it would all work out just fine. Besides, now he definitely didn't want to get up. "maybe were both like the cat.. curl up in the sun and we get lazy," he groaned, though in a rather amused manner.

The girl cocked her head at the boy when he said she and the cat looked alike, though a slight chuckle escaped her. "Okay, now you're telling me I look like a cat?" The girl mused before shuffling in a little more and half resting her head on his shoulder as the cat rolled onto her side so she could get a bit of a belly rub. She then wrinkled her nose and gave a slight cackle before looking back up at him. "You know, I never thought you'd be the type to lay out in the sun," she mused, "Like a cat," she then added with a soft hum. In truth, she didn't expect him to have been good at or do as many things as he did. She hadn't seen him much before he'd come to the ward, but she had a habit of making people's lives up in her head... what they were like, but she was certainly glad he wasn't how she'd imagined him to be. This was much, much better.

Sage chuckled and wrinkled his nose at the girl, though in an amused manner rather than an upset way, reading his head on hers when she put it on his shoulder. "You said it yourself, I'm a cat person," he chuckled. "Probably because I act like one. You know, pet me but if you're a stranger I'll claw your face off," he giggled in a joking manner, nudging the girl lightly. The cat had the right idea though ..curl up somewhere warm with someone who loves you and would cuddle with you all you wanted. He wished he had a life like that ...being a cat sounded pretty nice right about then. Not that he didn't enjoy this...he most certainly did.

The girl hummed lightly in response before looking back at the cat. The more she thought about it, the more she realised he was like a cat. It was amusing, very amusing when she thought about it. A thought crossed her head and she gave a mischievous grin before tickling the cat's stomach, then letting her hand slide off onto his sides, where she kind of started tickling him in a more playful manner, a slight chuckle escaping her. "So? You gonna claw my face off or can I pet you?" She asked with a childish giggle. She'd figured out that he was ticklish a little while back... well, he wasn't very good at hiding it.

Sage let out a squeak when the girl started tickling him, and wriggled around as much as he could without disturbing the cat that was sprawled out on his chest. "hey," he whined through his giggles. "No fair!" He didn't really mind....in fact, he rather enjoyed the time he had with the girl. He wrinkled his nose at the girl and giggled. "If I say you can pet me will it get you to blush again," he giggled, teasing the girl a bit. Really, she knew she could do pretty much whatever she wanted to and he'd be fine with it. He trusted the girl, and really liked her, so unless she did something completely awful, she could, as she'd phrased, pet him.

Mari chuckled to the boy and let up with her playful tickling before flopping onto her back again. "You set yourself up for that," she hummed lightly with a bit of a giggle. She was definitely amused by his little giggles. "It was very fair," she hummed lightly before resting her head at the side to look at him at his next comment, and admittedly, the thought of him saying likes had put a thicker blush on her cheeks. She kind of just grinned before shaking her head, clearly bringing on another route to tease. "Probably not... it takes almost as much as much to make me blush as it does to get me to laugh," she hummed, knowing it didn't exactly take much to amuse her. It probably took even less to get her to blush. She then gave another mischievous grin. "I suppose we could find out," she then told him with a teasing laugh.
