Sage groaned and rolled his eyes, though a chuckle followed the gestures. "Fair," he hummed. "I called you a cat too though," he pointed out. He gave the girl a mischievous grin and reached a hand over to poke her in the forehead lightly. At her other comment he pouted rather playfully and then huffed out a breath. 'what, do you want me to curl up like this and ask you to rub my belly," he giggled putting his hands and feet up like they were paws for a moment before dropping them again with a giggle. "Would that put pink on your face? You laugh rather easily so it can't be too hard to get you red," he noted teasingly. He was enjoying this, though if her family heard the conversation starting right then, they'd probably be a bit confused. But whatever. They could be confused.

Mari laughed lightly before shaking her head. "Yes, but I haven't threatened to claw anyone's face off yet," the girl laughed before rolling her eyes again. She watched as the boy stuck his hands and feet in the air before wrinkling her nose with a bit of a chuckle. "Yeah... that's not exactly the biggest turn-on, now is it?" she mused before shaking her head again and going to fuss the cat again, who looked very confused by the boy's actions. "You blush easier than I do!" She chirped to the boy... she laughed, a lot, and she seemed to make a bit of a joke about most things, and to be honest, it was the same with her blushing, but she could joke for a little while longer.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. "True," he hummed. "Though I don't usually threaten people, I just hit them," he mused. He giggled at the girl's comment on his mini cat pose and patted the real cat on the head. "Ginger thinks I'd make a very handsome cat, don't you Ginger," he hummed. The cat twitches her ears and looked at him curiously before deciding he was still enough to go back to sleep. He chuckled and stroked the cat, wondering how he'd bonded in two days with the animal ...he'd definitely miss her, though he could bother Mari to let him pet sit and bring her to the castle at some point while Xander was at school or something. He stuck his tongue out at Mari at her last comment and wrinkled his nose. "I know. It's awful," he groaned. "Any little thing happens, and I'm a tomato." He shook his head slightly, chuckling at the thought.

The girl half rolled her eyes at the boy and nodded her head. "Yep... I've seen that," she mused before going back to resting her head on his shoulder, more than content to just... sit with him for a little while. She then grinned at his next comment and gently patted his cheek in a kind of teasing manner. "I've noticed... you know, sometimes I'll just look over at you and I'll catch you bright red," she mused before giving him a bit of a smirk. "Tell me Sage, what is it that gets yourself oh so very flustered?" Mari mused, trailing her finger along his chest as the cat decided to be a bit playful and tried to bat her hand.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's first comment and nodded."true," he hummed. He just sort of kept petting the cat when the girl rested her head on his shoulder again, more than content to just lay around for a bit. Though, he note about his blush made a light one creep across his cheeks, and when she patted his face and trailed her finger along his chest, it darkened slightly. In response, he gave her a pouty face, though of course it was just a playful one. "I have absolutely no idea," he huffed. "It happens much too often for my taste." He giggled when the cat tried to catch Mari's finger, amused by her antics.

Mari glanced up at the boy with a small smile, which only became bigger when she noted the kind of deep blush across his cheeks. She went back to playing with the cat, who's pupils had gone large from trying to catch her finger. Shen was going on about ten now... but it was nice to see the thing still so playful. She certainly didn't look as old as she was. "Aw, well it's certainly sweet to see," she hummed in an almost teasing tone. "Like right now," she hummed once the cat had caught ahold of her finger and was now rubbing her cheeks on it. "Sage, you're all red," she told him with a bit of a giggle, kind of imitating his earlier comment.

Sage snorted at the girl's comment, though he grinned when he saw the cats reaction to the girls finger. He chuckled slightly at the cats decision to be a bit playful. She was still laying around, but that was alright. She was cute either way he supposed. He felt his blush deepen when the girl said it was sweet and he groaned. "That's what Anya said too," he half groaned half chuckled. He felt the red deepen when she started he was all red and groaned again. "I know, and you pointing it out only makes it worse," he grumbled, though of course he wasn't actually upset by anything.

Mari chuckled to the boy, kind of still playing with the cat as she clasped a little paw on top of her hand, and she pulled it out and put it on top of the paw, then the cat did the same and so on and so on. She then nodded at his first comment. "Well, yeah. I mean, seeing this battered guy all red and flustered over god knows what... who wouldn't think that was sweet," she murmured lightly before giving a telling grin at his next comment. They sat about for a little while before she heard a slight movement in the house. She sighed and sat up before picking the cat up off the boy and cradling her the way you might a baby. "Go put a shirt on and come back in... we can say our goodbyes and then make our way home," she told him lightly before standing up and carrying the cat back inside the house, much to the animals dismay.

Sage snorted at the girl's comment but was still amused by the cats antics. It was cute, the way the cat was playing around with the girls finger. He sat up once the girl had picked the cat up and nodded, patting the cat on the head before they wandered apart. He could hear the cat meowing in complaint as Mari brought her back inside, and chuckled softly. He'd miss the little ball of fur, and he'd definitely bother Mari to bring her for a visit here and there. He threw the shirt he'd been wearing back on and then wandered back into the house, where the cat immediately started rubbing her head on his legs, so he scooped her up happily, nodding a good morning at the rest of the family who was up.

The girl watched as Sage picked the cat up, then rolled her eyes at him... she'd have to look through the papers and see if there were any kittens around... it might be nice for him to have a little thing to look after. She couldn't very well drag Ginger around, even if she did love Sage. She'd talk to the doctor about it and see what he thought, but it might be a nice surprise for the boy. She'd put a little English breakfast together for the rest of the family before going to make sure she had all that she needed for the next couple of weeks, then waited to clean up for everyone before saying their goodbyes... after about half an hour she looked over to Sage, and gave a bit of a smile. "Ready?" She asked with a cocked head once he'd said his own goodbyes, not that her family were too talkative this time in the morning.
