Iris smiled at the thought of being somewhere other than here. Sure, she liked it, but it was always the same routine over and over again. She wanted something new. And, she supposed, Caden was that new. So far she was thoroughly enjoying it. (brain go poof) |

(lol its fine) Caden let out a soft sigh, smiling slightly. He sure did miss back home, no not Pheonix, not Moscow, but Magadan. While it was a small and really sketchy town, half the people had a name for him and half the people had a curse for him. |

"You said before that the only reason you came here was to get away from Carmen. Would you go back home and stay if you could?" Iris asked, looking up at his face. |

"Honestly? No, not really. I already have everything here which I need, money, all my cars are here, my house is here, college is here, girlfriend is here. So really all I want is here, only reason to go back is for nostalgia and what not... I guess." He explained, flicking his gaze back out. |

Iris blushed a little when he mentioned her but nodded. "That makes sense. But don't you also have a house there? Or wait, did I just make that up?" She couldn't remember what he'd said before. It was hard to keep track of all his things. Unlike her. Everything she owned was either at her house or in her dorm room. |

"Only thing I have left there is my dad and memories but, the further away that man is, the better." Caden noted, his gaze catching the nasty scar which ran down his arm, though his tattoos covered most of it. He still could recall what some of the pain felt like for a few of his scars, mainly the more traumatic and painful ones. |

Iris winced at his words. The entry in the book had given her enough information, plus what he'd told her was enough to make her feel awful for Caden. She followed his gaze down to his arm, where she saw a long scar that must've held horrible memories. She reached out a hand and traced the mark absent-mindedly, not realizing she was doing it. |

He only tensed slightly when she did so, watching as she did so yet allowing it. Usually Caden pulled away when people tried to do so, not trusting strangers too much to come up and do so unless they were doctors or people he was supposed to trust---to which he just bit the inside of his cheek and carried on. The man flicked his gaze back out, relaxing more and more as the bond the two had built shone more brilliantly than the stars above them. |

(wow ferf just got poetic) . Iris realized what she was doing and considered pulling her hand back, but didn't. She finally stopped and just sat there, breathing in Caden's scent and the crisp evening air. This night felt even better than the last time, if that was even possible. Iris didn't doubt it was. |

(call me shakespear lol) Caden found himself longing for her to trace it again, or any of the many scars scattered across him like paint. He glanced up at her, noting how even more pretty she seemed to get. The man's gaze cast back out at the city, seeing the faint blinking red lights on the tail of an airplane zipping overhead. |
