Sage nodded in response to the girl's comment about Luther. "Well, you'd have to ask her how that happened since I was out cold," he admitted. "Liz teased me about it though... apparently she carried me here bridal style," he noted with amusement. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly. "Actually I think that happened a couple times," he admitted. He rolled his eyes slightly at the girl's next comments and snickered slightly. "You wish," he huffed, though really it was all true. He did enjoy the girls company, a lot. He looked back down to the kitten, who was still sniffing him curiously and patted her lightly. "I have a feeling you'll spoil her just as much as I will," he hummed.

Mari chuckled lightly and nodded at him. "Yeah, I'll ask her to give me the run down. I'm sure we'll have a hell of a lot of fun making fun of you together," she mused lightly. When he replied to his next comment and went to wrap an arm around his weist is a jokey kind of way and rested her head on his shoudler. "Admit it, you do," she teased lightly before unwrapping herself from him and trailing her finger around the kitten, to which she followed with her eyes before trying to grab ahold of it. She then nodded at the boy and chuckled lightly. "Of course I'm going to spoil her... like you said, she's a baby! And she deserves to be spoilt if she's going to be dealing with you," she added with a laugh.

Sage groaned and shook his head slightly, though of course he didn't really mind the teasing. "Of course, why would I expect any different from you girls," he huffed, though it wasn't in an angry tone, not at all. He looked over at the girl and pretended to hum thoughtfully. "Maybe maybe not. Depends on how nice you are to me," he hummed, eyes clear except for exhaustiom fr being up all night by then. He still didn't feel the normal, but it was much better than before....he supposed talking and joking around a bit had helped. It had started as fake, but now it was becoming real. He chuckled slightly as the kitten tried to grab Mari's finger and nodded. "Hey, I'm not that bad," he protested good naturedly. "You spoil me so you can definitely spoil a cute kitten." They were about as far apart as two things could be looks wise...the cat looked like she'd come cuddle whereas his eyes were a bit ..sharper. colder, even. Something about him just warned people off a bit.

The girl gave an almost offended look when he referred to the two girls. "What you think so little of me? I don't think I'd get the girl to talk to me if I tried," she mused, knowing how... selective the girl could be with her company. She then pouted at the boy and chuckled softly. "Nice to you? You do understand that I just bought you a kitten?" She asked with a bit of a laugh before rolling her eyes. "Say it, you looove me," she mused before looking back at the kitten, who by now had made herself comfortable on the boy's lap again, though was still eyeing up her finger. She then nodded at the boy. Really, she didn't think he was bad at all... quite the opposite, really. She looked back up at him with a grin. "I spoil everyone! You're no different from the kitten. You're both adorable so don't worry - you'll both be spoilt rotten, as the doctor says."

Sage snorted and huffed out a breath before scooping the kitten up to cradle it as he fell over sideways so he was practically laying in Maris lap. "Ok I love you and you're my most favorite person ever," he exclaimed dramatically. "Do I get a kiss now," he added in mischievously, though he was just teasing and didn't expect the girl to actually kiss him...he'd never ask that, unless he knew she'd be fine with it. But they weren't a couple, so he wasn't going to ask for something she didn't want to give. He snorted again when she called him as adorable as the kitten, and shook his head slightly. "I think the doctor likes you just as much as he likes me. Maybe that's why he puts up with us so much," he chuckled.

Mari giggled to the boy and hummed, "That's better," before patting the top of his head as he fell onto her lap. She knew they were just teasing, but she couldn't help the blush and another childish giggle when he asked if he could get a kiss. She pursed her lips at him before sticking her face close to his, then almost looking thoughtful before sitting up again. "You'd love that, wouldn't you," she mused with a bit of a chuckle before shaking her head. She then looked at the cat he was cradling, who just seemed tired now. "The doctor likes me because I don't cause him any trouble. I don't know why he likes you, but he does," she told him lightly before shaking her head a little, clearly a bit amused by the idea.

Sage chuckled slightly when the girl patted hisbhead and gave her a grin. He felt his face flush when she stuck her face close to his though, and he ignored her comment. He couldn't very well admit that a kiss from the girl was starting to sound rather appealing. They hadn't known eachother very long and he'd already told her he didn't feel like a relationship was fair. But things had changed since then, so maybe he could manage to have a relationship, since he wouldn't be working in the tavern and lived in the castle. He could find a job and everything...maybe he could face the queen and ask to work in the barn or something. She'd didn't have to pay him much at all ..he was used to that and didn't mind. Sage grinned and shrugged. "I reckon it's because I get hurt enough hes always in practice" he joked. The man loved him, he knew that, but he could still make fun.

The girl chuckled lightly and shook her head when she saw his little flush... he really was right, he did tend to flush up pretty easily. It was sweet to see, especially coming off a guy that would describe himself as intimidating. And, well, he was a little bit... but he was just a big goof really, and she was pretty sure most people that got to know im would really quite like him. She chuckled when he said the doctor was always in practice due to him always getting hurt. "Yeah, I mean, it keeps him busy... what else is he going to do if you're not around to cause trouble?" The girl asked in amusement.

Sage nodded with an agreeing hum. "Exactly. He'd be bored out of his mind without me," he proclaimed. Then he chuckled slightly. "I can hear him grumbling about how he'd get more sleep with me gone," he chuckled. "I'd get to relax more without you," he grumbled intimidating the doctor with a small grin. He was still stroking the kitten, who'd fallen asleep by then, curled up on his chest. He looked down at her and smiled softly. "She really is a baby. All tuckered out," he hummed fondly. He was already mad in love with the little thing, and he'd only had her for like half an hour.

Mari chuckled lightly and gave him a bit of a nod. "He would grow old gracefully if it weren't to you," she hummed, resting her head back on his shoulder and went to tickle the little animals stomach. She really was a baby, like the boy said. But she was still very calm for any kind of kitten... which she supposed would serve Sage well in the future. She then looked up to Sage, only to see the softest smile across his cheeks. She couldn't fathom why, but the sight made her heart jump in a way she couldn't quite comprehend. It was an odd feeling, but she happily welcomed it. It just made her want to curl up in his arms and never quite leave. She then scolded herself for thinking that way and went back in I fussing the kitten. "I picked a good one, hmm?" The girl hummed brightly.
