Sage nodded and shifted so he was kind of curled up in a ball under the covers, Amber wrapped up in his arms. "Then stay if you want. Read a book or something," he hummed tiredly. She could stay, the other bed was there, and there was plenty of room on his if she wanted to stay and read or something while he slept. Having her there would probably help, even with Amber. The little kitten was flat out, and sage was soon just as out as she was. He practically fell asleep as soon as he'd finished talking.

Mari gave a bit of a nod to the boy... she didn't really care. She didn't want to constantly be in the boy's space if he didn't want her there... but he was already asleep. She just finished a few things up around the ward before going to sit on the other bed in his little room. She watched him curl up with the cat, a slight smile across her face before getting comfortable and getting into the book. She read slowly, but that didn't matter at all... she couldn't sleep at all, so she could just sit and get through the book until she was finally tired enough to drift off.

Sage slept for a while, probably up until around dinner time. At least, that was his estimate based off of the sun patterns in the room. He sat up rubbing his eyes, a small yawn crossing his face as he stretched. Amber picked her head up and stretched too, pressing her tiny little paws against the side of his thigh. He looked down at her and smiled, picking her up again, much to the cats satisfaction. She rubbed her head against his neck, purring happily as she tried to burrow farther into his torso. He smiled and stroked the animal, murmuring "hey kitty" to her happily. The girl was still on the bed, so he didn't want to wake her if she was asleep.

Mari slept peacefully for a little while... but something in the back of her head was still expecting Sage to wake up and freak out at any moment. So, her sleep was light. She woke up at every little sound, though she was surprised to find that none of it was Sage. She wasn't sure why she was so worried about him, he could take care of himself, but she didn't think too much about it. The next time she woke up was because she heard the quiet voice of Sage talking to the cat. She gave a soft type of groan before rolling over so she could see across the room. She hadn't really meant to fall asleep... but she couldn't help it, and she did appreciate the rest. She gave a bit of a smile as she watched both Sage and Amber curled up together, though she was clearly still a little bit weary from the last couple of days.

Sage glanced over at the girl when he saw her roll over and groan, and slipped out of the bed to pad over to the girls bed and flip down next to her, Amber still cradled in his arms happily purring as she rubbed against him. He lay down next to Mari with a grunt and closed his eyes again, though not really falling asleep...it was more like just resting next to a friend. Though, the more he got to know the girl, the more she grew on him.

The girl kind of cocked her head at the boy when he came over, but moved over to the side a little bit so he could actually get on the bed with his little companion. "What are you doing now," the girl asked with a bit of a chuckle before burying her face into the pillow, a light smile on her face yet still very tired... she'd woken up stupidly early, and gone to bed late the previous night, so she didn't really care what was going on. Sage had done this before... she wasn't exactly sure why he did, but like she'd said, she didn't much care, and it didn't cause her any issues.

Sage hummed thoughtfully and shrugged lightly. "Dunno," he hummed, still half asleep. "It's warmer over here I guess. And you're nice." He was really just doing a half asleep babble at this point, and he didn't really know what he was saying. He just knew it was cozy, and Amber was still purring so she was happy, and he was cozy so it was fine. He didn't really know why he came over.. he supposed it just liked creature comforts, and Amber was nice but small. If he could get more he supposed he'd take it he supposed. He was stroking Amber slowly as he lay there, absentmindedly playing with her fur. She seemed to enjoy it all....she probably liked the warmth too....so he didn't think she'd get up and go off anywhere, though he couldn't be sure.

Mari has a half-kind of tired chuckle before rolling onto her other side and resting her forehead against the wall, but not before chucking the blanket over the boy. "I'm so nice," she muttered in agreement before letting out a deflating sigh and trying to get herself back to sleep... not that it was working, though. She did need to wake up and get some food for everyone, but she was comfortable now... and she really just didn't want to move. She was warm here, and comfortable, and for whatever reason Sage was next to her, and both he and the cat were kind of a comforting presence.

Sage chuckled slightly at the girl's comment and curled up into a ball again when she threw the blanket over him. He made sure that amber was comfortable, and wasn't going to suffocate under the blanket or anything, before closing his eyes again and just laying there for a while. It was cozy, and petting Amber was, admittedly, even more calming than just laying there. He didn't mean to fall back asleep...he wasn't planning on it either....but he did end up drifting off again. Amber seemed to notice and quieted down a bit after curling up against his chest again, where she rested her head on his forarms and just sort of gazed around the room lazily.

Mari did eventually get herself to sleep, though she did know she had to get food around... whatever, the doctor could do it. She could subconsciously hear the man scuttling around. She found herself pressing her back against the boy's side as she slept, kind of seeking out any extra warmth... to be honest, the whole bed was warm now, but it was just one of those things she supposed. She needed to wake up, to get moving... but she didn't want to right now. She'd finished all her jobs, other than getting food from the kitchen... but she didn't think the doctor would let his patients starve.
