Rose laughed her carefree, thought to be long-lost laugh and moved to swim backwards playfully away from him once more

"Shit I'm getting out.It's freezing, no idea how you're just vibing in here." He says, heading out before skimming the water off himself, going to sit back on the pool chair. "Hey, am I still keeping that promise tonight?"

"Only if you want. The school pools for the swim team weren't too much colder"

Caden smiled, glancing at her. "I made a promise and you agreed to it so," He trailed off, shrugging his shoulders.

"Alright." She said, swimming for a bit before getting out and going to take a shower

Caden drifted off and stayed outside a few more hours before heading in, sitting on the couch as he waited to shower.

Rose finished her shower and fell asleep on the bed

Caden went upstairs and showered, laying next to her and wrapping a arm around her, the other hand scrolling through TikTok.His phone buzzed and he stood, face annoyed as he picked up a call.

Caden asked, face contorting to stressed and concerned, hanging up the phone and jogging out to his study, hurridly logging onto his laptop and looking at his buisness, seeing the stock climbing farther and farther down.He sighed,running a hand through his hair. "Why?Why do I do this to myself?" He cursed under his breath, starting to do work.Hours later the sun was setting and he walked into the living room, walking towards the stairwell.As he was walking through the hallway to the bedroom, he was still stressed out of his mind, in need of releif, of Rose.Caden neared the middle of the hallway, calling out to her. "I'm still keeping that promise tonight,correct?" He asks, shortening his stride.
