Sage chuckled slightly when he felt the girl's arms around his waist and turned over to her to wrap his arms around her again and fall over with a giggle so they were under the covers. He was really just screwing around at that point, though his curiosity won over so he sort of absentmindedly murmured, "I'd I asked you out what would you say," to the girl. He felt his face heat up as soon as he said it...he definitely hadn't meant to actually ask that ..but he had, and he wasn't really regretting it. He just hoped the response would be positive.

Mari couldn't help her stupid giggle when the boy fell back with her but didn't wriggle out of his hold and instead just relaxed into the sheets. She went to brush some hair from his face with a grin before she saw the boy's face flush up... it took her a moment to actually take his question in, and she found her cheeks heated up ever so slightly. She really wasn't expecting him to throw that at her, so another quiet chuckle did escape her, and she took a second or so to think about it. "You mean like a date?" She asked with a cocked head, her smile still very much present. She thought it would be selfish of her to say she'd agree... it would be, wouldn't it? She still had so much she hadn't told him, and she didn't think it would be fair to him if she did. But really, what was the harm? "I'd probably say yes," she mused lightly as she hugged the blankets closer to herself.

Sage chuckled slightly and nodded rather sheepishly. "Yeah," he admitted. Then he gave the girl a wide grin. "Good to know. That means actually asking you out is a lot easier," he noted in a rather amused voice. Well, he had to admit, he was scared at first, but his little slip up had been...good, in a way, he supposed. At least, he knew Mari would probably enjoy a date with him. And he'd enjoy it too...though he wasnt sure what to do or where to go or even really how that sort of thing worked. He'd never really been on a date. Anya was...not the normal girlfriend and that was definitely not a normal relationship. Maybe this one would be better. More...natural, almost.

Mari smiled lightly at the boy's grin and another blush crossed her face. She had to admit that she was still a bit surprised by the boy... it was clear it had just slipped out, but she still felt her heart thump a little bit at the idea of actually going out with him... she wouldn't even care what they did. Well, he'd actually have to ask her, though. "You're gonna have to actually ask me, then," she mused before pulling her arms from him and rolling onto her back. Really, she hoped he knew she wouldn't say anything horrible in response... even if she wasn't at all interested in going out with him or whatever, she would have said so in a nicer way.

Sage groaned slightly at the girl comment. So she was actually going to make him say it, huh. Well fine, then. "You're so mean to me," he whined, though of course she wasn't and he would absolutely ask her if that's what it took...which is what it seemed would happen. He sort of scooted back over to the girl to land next to her, their shoulders touching. He looked over at her for a moment, thinking how he wanted to word it all. "Will you go on a date with me," he finally hummed, a slight purr in his voice that was really mostly unintentional. He could feel his face heating up again as he asked, and his heart speed up, though he tried to control his breathing so that stayed pretty much normal. He knew she wouldn't do something awful or be mean, but he was still nervous....his stomach was most definitely churning as he was suddenly glad he hadn't eaten quite yet.

Mari grinned at the boy and stuck her tongue out at him playfully. "If you're gonna ask you might as well do it properly," the girl mused lightly. The girl watched him scoot over to her and gave a friendly smile to the boy, almost a comforting one, really. When the boy asked the question she rolled onto her side and gave a type of thoughtful look before giving a nod. She picked up on his little purr, so hummed as though she was thinking, a grin on her face. "Yes of course I'll go on a date with you," Mari told the boy lightly, a slight blush across her cheeks again... she'd blushed before, but it was kind of obvious it'd just slipped out then. She then reached out to place a hand on his chest, just where his heart sat and gave a bit of a smirk once she felt it pounding against her hand. "You're nervous!" She accused with another slight giggle, obviously amused by the fact.

Sage could feel the blush deepen when the girl turned towards him and then accepted, though he couldn't help the delighted grin that crossed his face when she did accept. He felt his face heat up even more when she pressed her hand to his chest and started teasing him. "Of course I'm nervous," he huffed, though not in an upset way. "You have no idea how terrifying asking you out was ," he complained. He had relaxed quite a bit though when the girl accepted, and it was really just fun jabing at this point. Though it was true.

The girl chuckled slightly to the boy before patting his chest. She was clearly amused by it... out of all the things that Sage had to be nervy about, she didn't think asking her out would be among them. In truth, she was a bit nervous too... she hadn't really been on a date before... well, she had, but only with one person. And, well, he was dead now. She smiled lightly at the boy before cocking her head. "Why on earth would you be scared to ask me of all people out," the girl asked with a bit of a chuckle.

Sage stuck his lower lip out in a kind of playful pout, huffing out a breath. "Because it's scary to ask anyone out," he whined. Then he grinned sheepishly. "Plus I've never actually done that before, and I didn't want to mess it up," he admitted. "But you loooove me so I don't know why I was so worried," he hummed. It was really just a joke about the love part, though if she'd accepted the date it couldn't be too untrue.

The girl chuckled at his playful pout before flopping onto her back again. "It's hard to mess up asking someone out... never mind asking the likes of me out, I'm probably one of the most amenable people ever, so I'd probably just laugh about it if you did somehow mess it up," she mused lightly before shaking her head ever so slightly. She then scoffed at the boy and bumped his arms in a playful manner. "Yeah, you're my favourite person ever. I'd sell my soul just to be with you, oh so amazing and wonderful Sage," she huffed dramatically, putting her hand on her forehead jokingly. They were just joking, but to be honest, she did enjoy being around him, and she really did like him.
