Sage chuckled slightly and rolled his eyes at the girl's comment. "Yeah, well, like I said ...I've never done this before," he huffed. "You're still scary," he protested, though he grinned over at the girl when she started joking around. "I don't think I want you to go to that extent," he chuckled, nudging her arm again.

Mari smiled to the boy softly and bumped his side once more. "Well, now you have. You'll know what to do in the future," she mused lightly before sitting up slightly. "What you don't want a completely and utterly devoted admirer?" The girl chuckled lightly before shaking her head. "I'm surprised," hummed before huffing and pulling the covers up and sinking back into the bed... to be honest, she wasn't sure when she'd gotten back to the bed... she'd gotten up for about a moment and now she was back here. She huffed and rubbed her eyes before shaking her head. "I actually need to get up now," she huffed before starting to crawl out of the covers.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. "If this falls through I don't know that I'll want to," he admitted. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly and hummed in a rather amused way. "Well, if you sell your soul, you're not mine anymore are you," he pointed out with a slight laugh. He patted the girls shoulder slightly and nodded. "Amber's giving me the side eye...I'm sure she's ready to do something besides sit here," he giggled. "I'll take care of the barn and then try to figure out where and when this will all take place," he hummed. He gave the girl a sheepish grin. "I didn't plan on even asking you out. I don't have much of a plan yet," he admitted with an amused chuckle.

The girl shrugged slightly and to the boy. "Welp, you never know... I'm one of many, many people," she told him as she went to dust herself off and fix her hair in front of a corner mirror. She didn't wish for that to happen, though... for this to fall through. She just wanted the boy to be happy, but she got a feeling he'd only asked her out because she was one of the very few people that were actually friendly around him. She then scoffed a little bit at his next comment. "Yours?" She chuckled. "When did I become yours," the girl mused before going to make the boys bed and just kind of started to clean up a little bit in his room. "Go look after your horses, then... and, of course, think of something nice! I want to be impressed," she mused, but he knew she would be happy with pretty much anything.

Sage rolled his eyes and shrugged, going over to scoop Amber up. "Yeah, but you're one of the only nice ones I know," he hummed. Then he felt a light blush cross his face at her next comment. "Well...you're not mine yet, technically, but if you keep going on dates with me I'm definitely calling you my girlfriend," he hummed in a rather amused tone of voice. He grinned at the girl and nodded. "Don't worry, if there's something I know how to do it's having fun," he giggled. "and making things look nice." He hopped out of the room then happily.

The girl chuckled at the boy and waved him off. "I'm pretty sure what you call me is a group decision," she joked to the boy, though she really didn't care what he chose to call her... girlfriend though, she wasn't sure how to feel about it. It didn't upset her or anything like that, she just wasn't used to it. She grinned at his next comment before shrugging. "I trust you... sort of. I'm excited to see what you come up with," she huffed slightly before watching him bounce off. She still had a silly smile on her face as she went around the ward and cleaned up a bit... it wasn't going away, and she wasn't too sure why. She just felt... light, and it really was a nice feeling.

Sage giggled and shrugged in response to the girl's comment as he practically ran out of the room. He raced down to the barn, glad to be able to run around now without getting too tired. Amber ran along next to him, which was nice to see. He opened the door to the barn and let Amber scurry around chasing mice in the hay as he took care of the horses before calling Amber back over and scooping her up, bringing her to meet mystery and chaos. The cat and horses seemed to get along, much to Sage's delight, and he spent another hour or so there with them before hurrying back to the doctor's ward. He slipped into the office and just sort of went "I need help" to which the doctor responded "I was wondering when you'd admit you liked her," with a huff. "You need to not look like...that," he muttered, gesturing to Sage's dirty profile. He blinked and looked down at his shirt but by then the doctor had grabbed his arm and was dragging him....somewhere. "you need to look good for a first date, boy. No arguing." Amber followed along willingly, though sage admittedly had no idea where they were going or what the doctor had planned.

Mari went about her work pretty much the same she always had... though there were a a few people that did notice a bit more of a bounce in her step... she'd tried not to seem too exited about anything in the moment, but it didn't do all too much. But, she did still feel guilty... she wasn't really sure if she ever could fall for somebody again. She felt bad not just for Sage, but she felt like she was betraying someone who wasn't even alive. She had to try and shrug that feeling off... she'd never know until she tried, would she? And she did like the boy... he was fun, and kind, and a bit of a doofus, but nothing bad... yes, he had some issues, but that was just because he needed a bit of help, and that was what both her and the doctor were there for. She might be able to genuinely fall for Sage... with time, a lot of it... but maybe. She soon enough finished up and went to tinker about in the kitchen... the cook had gone to do whatever, so she could have a play about with some leftover ingredients for a while.

Sage just sort of let the doctor drag him around....it was really mostly a blur, but the man had managed to find some clothes that fit him that were better than the slightly grungy outfit he had on then. He pointed to the shower with a grunt, to which sage rolled his eyes and slipped into the bathroom. Amber followed him in, and made herself comfortable on the pile of towels in the corner of the room, curling up to wait for him. He didn't take very long, but admittedly, the warm water did feel nice on his neck and shoulders, which had been tense ever since the woman had showed up. By the time he'd gotten out and got dressed, he opened the door to leave but the doctor slipped in and closed the door, sitting him down and going to work combing his hair out. Sage simply let the man work, not really willing to argue. He had a few questions about the outfit, but that could wait. The doctor himself knew exactly what he was doing...and he'd sent another maid to help Mari get ready too. They were going out tonight, and it had to be perfect...both teens could use a night to relax.

Mari tinkered in the kitchen for a little while, and had ended up trying to make ups some cupcakes... her baking wasn't good, but it wasn't like it was hard to make a dozen tiny cakes. A maid she knew burst in and grabbed her by the arm once she'd pulled them out to cool, and had started dragging the girl towards her room, complaining that the girl hadn't told her about this date she was going on. The girl explained that it had just happened... though she was very surprised to find that they were going out that night... she thought it would take the boy a few days to sort something out, but obviously not. The other girl then sat her down and started pulling outfits out the cupboard before deciding everything she had wasn't good enough, so ran off them reappeared with something that would suit Mari a bit more... to be honest, she wasn't expecting much, maybe just dinner or something, but she was getting more and more exited about this. The other maid eventually started talking about the princess, what she'd think of this... and Mari had to admit, she was a bit worried about that too. God, the boy that she was about to go on a date with had been with a royal, and that was... a scary thought. She shrugged it off when the girl told her to get a quick shower, and gave Mari some stuff that smelled good for her hair. She wasn't in there for long, but took the time to breath for a few moments before slipping out and getting into the new outfit and towel drying her hair. The other maid sat her down again before tinkering with her hair until she'd ended up cutting it and all sorts, but by the time she was done it looked good... she looked good. And she was getting more and more exited as time went on.
