Malakai rubbed her back gently. "It's okay, I understand, princess," he murmured. He opened his eyes again and pulled away a bit, with a sigh. "Ugh, don't remind me," he complained with a grin before letting her go and walking up to the pedestal. |

Camery flashed him a light smile, but when he complained she gave him a little thumbs up. "You'll do just fine," she mused lightly, patting his shoulder and letting him go. She found a seat at one of the tables and settled down, refilling her glass as she watched him. |

Malakai Negri - Malakai stood atop the pedestal and with one clearing of his throat, the room fell silent. "Hello, everyone. Today we are gathered here to celebrate the winter solstice, but we are also all together. Day and Night, Winter and Summer, Spring and Fall," he said, looking at Camery, and the other kings and queens of the Winter, Spring, Autumn, and Summer kingdoms. "Every one of our kingdoms have a feud with one of the other kingdoms. But, with the coming new years, why do we have to constantly battle and argue over silly things, simply because we are opposites? Here we are, all together, having a good time, celebrating the first of the holidays this season. Lets be together, as friends, allies, for this holiday season. Fighting may seem like the easiest way to solve problems, but it's not. So lets just stop, and enjoy the friendships we have and the ones we still have to make," Kai finished with a bow and a smile as the crowd clapped and cheered. |

Camery Valatieri - Camery watched as the man stalked up to the pedestal, a light smile across her face. He was brave... he'd just taken over a kingdom, his father had just died and here he was, planning balls and celebrating with people who could be enemies. He was good... a good person. She could see that much. He already had so much power over these people, people who had been ruling for decades . She felt a smile spread bigger over her face, and when he was done she cheered for him a little louder than she should have. She watched him make his way down from the pedestal, and gave him a big grin. She put her drink down and trotted up to him, her cheeks flushed but... proud in a way.
She didn't waste a moment in throwing her arms over his shoulders and congratulating him. "That was perfect!" She squeaked to him. |

Malakai Negri - Malakai smiled, catching her as she practically threw herself at him. "Thank you," he said with a grin and a chuckle. He set her back down on the ground and looked down at her with a big smile. Kai opened his mouth to say something, but he was interrupted by a voice behind him. "Hello, handsome," a female voice said behind him. Kai turned around, standing next to Camery. He saw Orianna and smiled. Orianna and he were very good friends, with big benefits. They weren't together, but they slept together very often, before he met Camery. She was slender and on the shorter side, tiny frame, wide hips and her skin was snow white. Her skin was the palest of pale, along with her hair. The only part of her that wasn't completely paper white was her piercing blue eyes and her long thick eyelashes that seemed to have frost on them. She was one of the many princesses to the Winter Kingdom. "Hey, Ori!" Kai exclaimed happily, hugging her. He hadn't seen her in a long while. Probably not since last Solstice. |

Camery Valatieri - The woman grinned at him, his big smile just making her light up in small chuckles. So, maybe she was a little tipsy, but really who cared? She was enjoying herself and loosening off a bit. Spending time that she'd promised she'd spend with Malakai, too. She hummed happily to him, although she was caught of guard by the sound of another voice.
She peered behind Malakai, her brows raised but flashed a happy smile all the same. She had briefly seen this woman before. The winter kingdom were always coming in for negotiations, and they'd often bring their heirs to flaunt. Either to find them a partner, or just to say 'hey, one day my child is gonna best yours.' Camery found herself rather lucky to have never been put in a situation like that, at least not yet. The winter kingdom had lots of heirs... although, Cam had never really spoken to any of them.
Her eyes were light, not really clocking anything between them as Kai replied. She sort of perched on a hind leg and played with the fabric of her dress while the two got re-aquatinted.
"I'm Camery," she eventually blurted out as though it was some big discovery. She still had a grin on her face that seemed s bit too big, obviously happy with herself. |

Malakai Negri - Malakai stood next to Camery as he spoke with Orianna, and fell silent when Cam interrupted. Orianna turned to Camery, plastering on her biggest fake smile Kai had ever seen. Ori wasn't the friendly type. She was more 'hook up with me or leave me alone' type. "Well hello!" Orianna squealed in fake excitement. "I'm Orianna, Kai's friend," she introduced herself as if she was talking to a child. Kai noticed her behavior and disliked it, but he knew she'd get snappy with him if he called her out for it. "Do you mind if I borrow him for a moment?" Orianna asked, not really caring what Camery said in response. She turned back to Kai and held out her hand. "So are you gonna dance with me, or what?" she said flirtatiously, batting her eyes. Kai looked over at Camery, "Do you mind?" he asked. "It'll only be one or two songs," |

Camery Valatieri - Camery couldn't help the smile as she got a response. She was a little too tipsy to pick up on a tone, and she probably wouldn't have notice anyway. Orianna just seemed nice as of then, so when she asked to borrow him she just shrugged.
It wasn't like she needed to get protective of him or anything... or that she had the capacity to be protective as of then. She nodded back to Kai, trying another smile. "Not at all," she chirped happily. She sort of waved him off for a moment, her big eyes light.
She wasn't really the jealous type at all. She enjoyed spending time with people, and she was normally pretty bubbly as it was. So, when she watched him get dragged off, she was surprised by the slight pit in her stomach, although she soon shrugged it off. Instead, she refilled her now rather empty glass and found her way into the crowd, speaking in a more polite manner to a few of the lords she had known. |

Malakai Negri - Malakai was dragged off by Orianna as soon as Cam gave the go-ahead. Orianna and he started dancing, swaying to the music. Kai put more distance between them than he did with Cam, but Ori just kept closing that distance between them. It was quite annoying really, but soon, Kai just gave up on trying to move away. "So, how have you been, handsome?" she asked. "Pretty well, how about you?" Kai replied. "Good," she replied with a smile. "So, tell me, is there anything going on between you and that Camery girl?" Kai pursed his lips, "It's complicated," "Ah, okay," Ori nodded, "Well then, you need a distraction..." she murmured smugly, lifting a hand and wedging a finger between the folds of his wing at the very top, and gently rubbing. Kai's knees buckled and he had to grit his teeth to hold back a groan. Ori knew all his sweet spots and knew just where he liked to be touched. But Kai didn't want Ori, "Ori... stop..." he panted, trying to pull away as she continued to touch his wings. Kai spotted Camery in the crowd and wriggled away from Ori. Eventually, he managed to get away from her and she drew back that hand. "I don't want to hook up, okay?" Kai told her in a hushed tone. Orianna rolled her eyes. "Fine, be a baby," she retorted. "I'll go find another guy, you're just meh anyway," she said walking off. Malakai was left standing there with the ache he needed to satisfy. He took a desperate look at Camery, but it didn't look like she saw and it was wrong to do that, he was trying to build a relationship with her, but this was not the way to do so. So Kai quickly and quietly slipped away to his room. He sat on his bed, head in his hands contemplating things. Everything was a mess... |

Camery Valatieri - The young woman found her way around the ball room, happily chatting with nearly everyone that would come up to her. There were a few of the night kingdom lords, a few Ladies, nearly everyone she could find just to occupy herself with. Some seemed nervous at first... her parents had been invited, but evidently she was the only person from the Day kingdom that was there at all. Most people from the Night kingdom were nervous, but she was really just a drunk little girl as of then. She meant no one any harm, and even if she did, that stupid big grin of hers would soon settle them down. She eventually lost sight of Malakai, though, and only really realised she couldn't see him in the room at all when she saw Orianna walk past her. The woman was gorgeous - as were most people from the winter kingdom, actually. She could definitely see why she and Malakai were close. She was nice too.
Camery excused herself from the conversation she was having, and trotted over to the woman happily. "I don't suppose you saw where Malakai got off to?" She asked lightly. "He promised he wouldn't be long," she then added with a chuckle. |

Overcast and Calm
