The girl chuckled softly to the boy and shook her head slightly. "I think he'd kill me if I tried to say anything," she mused gently. She then couldn't help her grin when he said he liked her cooking batter... she did like to cook, and it was of couse nice to hear that people liked it... it was even better to hear that he did like it too. "Yeah?" She whispered quietly as she smiled into the back of his neck. "I'll make you anything if you ask," she hummed gently as she closed her eyes... she was hungry, but she wanted to sit there with Sage for as long as she could... they could snack on the toast whenever he was ready.

Sage chuckled and shrugged lightly at the girl's comment about the new cook. "Where'd he even come from anyway," he asked. "He reminds me of the big fat water bugs in the puddles on the street from the sewers." Maybe it was a bit mean, but the cook definitely deserved it...he wasn't the nicest person out there. He smiled at the girl's other comment and leaned into her head slightly. "I know," he hummed lightly. He really was thankful for the girl...she'd helped him, a lot, and had put up with his ..less than stellar personalities.

The girl chuckled slightly and rolled her eyes a little bit. "You can't say that!" she mused lightly... though, it was definately true. And the man wasn't very nice, so they could tease. She smiled softly at his little hum before pressing a quick kiss to just behined his ear and unwrapping her arm from his side. She sat up a little bit and grabbed the plate from the side... she was hungry, and really should get to work, she'd been late the last few days, and as nice as cuddling up with somebody was, it just felt... wrong, almost. It seemed like Sage had woken up a little bit more now, too.

Sage snorted and sat up slowly, a grin on his face as a result of the girls quick kiss. "I just did," he pointed out with a slight chuckle. He reached for his own plate, and Amber immediately appeared, seeming to look betrayed he wasn't sharing with her. "You can't eat this," he told the cat, who just sat down in front of him, still looking at him expectantly. "No," he repeated, though amber just licked her lips without breaking eye contact. Eventually, sage huffed out a breath and tore off a piece of the bread to hand to the cat, who gobbled it up happily and then curled up in his lap. "Prick," he muttered, though in a rather fond way.

Mari scoffed a little bit to the boy before rolling her eyes. "You know exactly what I mean," she mused gently before gently bumping his side. She watched him with the kitten for a little bit, a light smile on her face... still very happy that they had gotten along, and that the cat had stuck to Sage fairly well. She bumped his side gently and gave him a grin. "She's gonna beg you for food every time you eat now," she told him with a bit of a chuckle... though she took it he would rather like that. She sighed and rested her head against the head board... she hadn't eaten anything yet, but it was nice to just sit there. She didn't know when the last time she had breakfast in bed was... but this was definately nice, there was no denying that.

Sage chuckled slightly and shrugged. "As long as I don't say it to his face I probably won't get killed," he hummed in a rather amused tone. He chuckled again when Mari mentioned the cat begging and nodded. "She knows I'm a pushover," he mused, rather amused by the fact that the cat started begging practically right away and he just always ended up giving her a part of his own food even though she had a bowl full of her own on the floor. He rested his head on Maris shoulder with a small sigh, closing his eyes again and stroking the cat happily once he'd finished eating.

The girl chuckled slightly at his first comment. "He can probably hear you from here," she mused quietly. The man was a bit... strange. The cook did one thing, and that was it. She just didn't think that he got much interaction with other people. She then looked at the little cat as she chewed away on Sages toast. She gave the boy a look before patting his shoulder. "You and I both know you're not a pushover," she mused lightly as she smiled back at the cat. "That cat just has you wraped around her little paws," she hummed. When the boy rested his head on her shoulder, she couldn't help her little smile as she set her plate to the side. "What have you got planned for today? Anything fun or are you just gonna rest here," the girl asked quietly.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. "I have a lot of experience running from mountains," he chuckled. He hummed lightly and looked down at the cat fondly. "I dunno, you could probably convince me to do anything too," he hummed with a slight chuckle. "And Anya, and Att, and probably the doctor," he listed off. He hummed in thought and then shrugged. "Well, I'll clean up the picnic, and after that I don't really know. I wanna go take care of the horses at some point but that's it."

Mari chuckled at his comment and shook his head. "That's another thing you can't say," she chuckled lightly. She watched the boy for a moment before giving a bit of a smirk. "Really? Anything?" She asked with a sly grin as she patted his head. She furrowed her brows when he mentioned the picnic and shrugged. "Wait until later to do that... I can help once I've finished up here," she offered quietly... he'd done it for her, so surely it'd be good of her to help out a little bit. "I need to go out and grab some things for the ward later on. You could maybe come with me? It won't be fun but it's something to do," she told him with a soft shrug.

Sage chuckled slightly and rolled his eyes before nodding with a thoughtful hum. "Might as well," he admitted. "I have nothing better to do." He liked going anywhere with the girl, it really didn't matter...besides, going and doing something could be fun. And, it was nice of her to help clean up anyway.
