Mari chuckled softly to the boy before rolling her eyes. She didn't really care if anything else happened... the thought was just amusing for whatever reason. She'd never met a guy that would choose to sit in bed with a tiny little kitten... it was just nice. "I suppose we might have to do something like that once we've eaten... but I say we go somewhere a little bit quieter... say maybe mine?" She liked watching Sage and Amber... the pair of them were both very sweet. She couldn't help her small chuckle when the cat bopped him on the nose and rolled over ever so slightly so that she could see the boy. She reached out to fuss the kitten while she lay on the boy's chest. "Well, she is a baby... I don't think it would be fair to completely ignore her," she hummed lightly, her small smile still plastered across her cheeks. After a moment, she went to rest her head on the boy's shoulder once he'd rolled over. "I need to check the mail... Anya may have gotten back to you if she got your letter quickly," she told him with a soft sigh before deciding she needed to go and get ready... she could meet Sage in the kitchen in an hour or so, once he was ready to get up. She pressed a soft kiss to his neck before slipping out of bed and grabbing her dress, slipping it over her head and quickly lacing the back up. "I'll meet you in the kitchen in a little bit?" She asked with a cocked head.

Sage hummed and nodded in response to the girl's comment, admittedly a bit glad that she'd invited him over to her own room. Sage chuckled and nodded looking down at the kitten fondly as she rolled about on his chest playfully batting at the necklace, a purr rumbling in her throat. He nodded again at her next comment and shrugged. "I'll do that and then come find you," he hummed happily. He got up after a moment of watching the kitten play and tossed on his clothes before wandering out to check the mailbox. Anya had indeed written back, so he opened the letter as he walked back in, amber trotting at his side. He was curious as to what the girl had written.

Mari wandered out a little bit sheepishly from the room, though quickly got to work around the castle. There wasn't much to do... the doctor had definitely done the most of it. She was grateful for that... it just meant she'd had more time with Sage. She quickly got everything done and got a couple of packages from the mail room for the patients in the ward and handed them out before skipping down to the kitchen and finding everything out ready for the two of them... she did like cooking with the boy, it was just... fun. Everything with the boy was fun, she supposed.

Sage read the letter as he wandered over to the kitchen. Anya had said yes to him taking some of Luther's shirts, which he assumed would have been fine with the girl, but he did feel better having asked. He could do that later. The rest of the letter was basic....she had given normal responses. Hi, how are you, I'm good sort of thing. She seemed to be interested in mystery and amber too, as he'd mentioned both of them as well. He chuckled softly to himself as he read about how Att was doing and dropped the letter off in his room before slipping into the kitchen. Amber immediately went to play with the curtains, and he crept over to Mari and wrapped his arms around her from behind with a giggle.

Mari squeaked a little bit when the boy wrapped his around her, but couldn't help her girly little chuckle. She leaned back into him and pressed a light kiss to his jaw. "Hey handsome," she mused lightly as she ran her hand up his arms. "Did you get a letter or nothing yet?" She hummed gently as she kind of swayed with the boy. She'd set up a couple of little bowls for the two of them to batter the chicken, and found out a cake recipe that seemed like it would work. She hoped the boy had gotten some good news from Anya... she knew the boy had been pretty excited about mailing the girl and especially Att. Edited at March 7, 2023 07:38 AM by Belle

Sage hummed in response and nodded, resting his chin on top of the girls head lightly. "She wrote back. All good news," he informed Mari happily. "Atts adjusting well to all the moving, and everyone seems happy." He was glad everything was going well over there ..and while he missed the two of them, a lot, he knew they were better off there for a bit. They should be back soon, too, since the castle was fixed by now. "You can help fix up some of Luther's old clothes with me later," he hummed lightly, pecking the girl on the side of the head and releasing her. "But for now let's focus on food," he said in a rather amused manner. "I'm hungry," he giggled.

Mari nodded slightly to the boy with a bit of a hum. "That's good. Little Att must be thrilled with the move... there a really nice little forest out there. Or, that was what the queen was saying. It's meant to be a holiday spot so it has to be nice," she hummed softly. She couldn't help her grin from growing when the boy pecked her on the head before nodding lightly. "Do I not get a say in that?" the girl chuckled before shaking her head... of course she'd helped though. She grinned when he said to focus on the food, and kind of jumped like a little child before jumping over to the bowls. "There's eggs here and there some batter... do you like spicy food?" She asked as she pointed towards the bowls with flour and a few other herbs in them. "I haven't put anything in there but if you'd like you could maybe put some paprika in... not a lot because it's expensive, but we can still use some!" She chirped before moving away from her little station and wandering towards the things she'd gotten out for the cake and grabbing the recepie. "Do you like the look of this?" She asked with s cocked head as she showed the boy the recipe... she was clearly still very excited do so this, despite having cooked with him a couple of times now. Sage chuckled and nodded. "it still hard to imagine the queen talking nicely to anyone," he hummed, rather amused at the thought. He gave the girl a crooked grin and shook his head. "Nope, I'm kidnapping you. You have to help me," he chirped, though only because he knew she wouldn't mind helping. He shrugged slightly when she asked if he liked spicy food. "I'll eat anything, you know that," he chuckled. "Suppose there's only one way to find out," he hummed, reaching for the paprika. He looked at the recipie the girl held, still quite clearly amused by her excitement. "Looks fine to me," he chirped, giving her a thumbs up happily.

The girl shook her head at him and grinned. "Really, she's not that bad," she hummed lightly. "Or maybe she's nice to me because she knows I'll poison her tea," she huffed with the slightest chuckle. It was a joke, but it was still pretty amusing for her... and she really did like the queen. She was just always stressed, she supposed. She turned to him and turned to press a light kiss to his cheek. "You're about the only person that can kidnap me," she hummed lightly. She watched him grab the seasoning before shrugging and pointing to the bowl. "Not too much otherwise you might not like it," she mused lightly before going to cut up some chicken into little strips. "Basically you dunk the strips in the egg then roll them in the batter then we fry them... only, I'll fry them because I'm not sure I trust you with hot oil," she told him with a laugh.
