Mari sat quietly for a little while, really quite liking the way his hands ran through her hair... it was a small gesture, but it was nice. The sun was warm on her skin, even the slight breeze felt good. She rolled onto her side a little bit so that she was hiding her gaze in his shadow, which made sleep come to her a lot easier. She'd only just made enough food for Sage, so she let him munch away... to be honest, she was still quite proud of the boy whenever he ate anything because she knew he didn't always have the best appetite. She slipped off to sleep after a little while, though it was a little bit feverish as it had been for a long while now.

Sage are around three quarters of the sandwiches before he got full and closed the basket. He figured the girl wouldn't want much if them ..she'd not been eating much, and she didn't look very good at all. He'd mention something to the doctor, if the man didn't notice something wrong himself. But for now, she was resting, and they were all enjoying their time, so he had no reason to run off to the ward now. So, hed left the girl rest and Amber play. And he may as well enjoy the peace too.

The girl seemed to sleep for hours... it just constantly felt like she was falling through a square. It was definitely an odd feeling, though she'd welcome any form of sleep. The sun just seemed to be getting hotter as the day went on, which was nice. It'd just been raining for the last few days, so dry ground and a clear sky was something she welcomed happily. She woke up maybe after an hour and a half, but only because some of the workers on the castle were shouting back and fourth to each other. The castle was very nearly done... she wasn't sure when the royal family would be back, but she did hope they'd take their time. It was just so... quiet without them, and she had to admit it was sort of nice. She sighed quietly before going to bury her face into his side as she woke up a little bit more as time went on. Now, though, she just felt plain sick... her head was banging at her in a way that annoyed her more than anything. She tried to get back to sleep, but it just wasn't happening. Her stomach was churning and god, it was the most disgusting feeling. She didn't want to ruin a nice day for Sage though. "Why don't you go out on Chaos or something? I'm afraid I'm not going to be much fun like this," she told him quietly. Edited at March 9, 2023 04:08 PM by Belle

Sage glanced down at the girl and chuckled slightly when she buried her head in his side and just continued to sit there with her, running his fingers through her hair absentmindedly. He frowned slightly when she groaned out her comment and peeked down at the girl's face. He hummed slightly and nodded, but added "only if you go to the doctor," to the conversation. "Come on, I'll walk you down there," he hummed lightly. "I have all day, and you look absolutely horrendous," he noted with a slight twinge of amusement in his voice. The girl did look pretty bad ...her face was drawn and she didn't have any trace of her usual happy spark anywhere in her expression. He'd go out to the barn...but he was worried about Mari, and he did want to help her if he could. And if that meant forcing her down to the doctor's to get a check up, then so be it.

The girl just hummed softly when he said he'd go if she went to the doctor. She didn't think the mad would do much... and she didn't want to waste his time. It was just a bit of a fever, she was sure if it... and bugs went around quite a lot between the maids. She pouted when he said she oooked horrendous, though she did manage the first half of a laugh. "Yeah, thanks lover," she hummed in a kind of sarcastic tone. She knew he was just wanting to help, though, so she wasn't at all upset. "All he's gonna do is give me something for a headache and tell me to be on my way," she hummed before sitting up ever so slightly, but she just had to cover her face from the sun... it was a bit too bright for her taste. She watched Sage stand up, though, and she sighed before just deciding it'd be best to get checked out if it brought the boy peace of mind. She forced herself to her feet with a soft sigh before linking his arm through his again as she tried to hold herself up again. They got to the doctors pretty slowly, but they were there all the same. "Your boy is saying I look ill," she complained with a weary hum. "Tell him that's not how you walk to a lady," she joked quietly before flopping down on one of the beds.

Sage chuckled slight at the girl's attempt to joke and then patted her shoulder lightly. "Even so, it'll make you feel better. Even if it's just letting you feel good enough to eat something,* he hummed. The doctor looked up when Mari entered his office and hummed with a nod in response to her comment. "the boys quite right though, my dear,* he half chuckled, getting up to walk over to her. "what seems to be the problem?" He sort of poked around a bit, waiting for her answer. Sage had left by then, and was wandering down to the barns with Amber happily.

Mari shook her head and watched the boy leave with a kind of regretful look on her face. She should have just gone off to bed. She certainly wasn't a fan of going to any kind of doctor, but that was mainly. Because she'd never had a good experience with them. She shrugged when he asked what was wrong and looked over to the old man. "Everything," she told him with a soft chuckle. "I haven't been able to sleep much... and I always just feel sick... dizzy and nauseous. It's alright when I'm laying down but I vent be on me feet for too long," she told him as she bit the inside of her cheeks, a little bit antsy to get out of here.

The doctor hummed lightly and checked the girls pulse and pressed a hand to her forehead before standing back and pursing his lips thoughtfully. "You don't seem sick, but you definitely look it," he grumbled. "And you're not one to act like it's worse than it is," he hummed to himself, thinking for a moment before grunting and sitting down in his chair again. "When did you start feeling like this," he asked the girl. He had his own suspicions as to what was wrong...well not wrong, but what was ailing the girl. But he didn't really have any proof yet of anything.

The hummed in thought. "I'm not sure... maybe three days ago? It was a little bit sudden," she eventually groaned quietly before shaking her head again. "I'll be alright in a few days. Sage is just a little bit worrisome," she then added with a bit of a chuckle. "I just need to remind myself to eat better... I can barely keep anything in," she didn't want anyone to worry... it was likely to just be a bit of a bug that she'd get over in a day or two. "I don't want to waste your time," she told him after a little bit as she started to sit up a little bit again.

The doctor snorted and pointed to the bed. "If somethings wrong then you're not bothering me," he grumbled. "This is my job," he pointed out. "If you get too dehydrated then a whole slew of issues will come about and then I might have to tube feed you like I did for your worrisome boyfriend, as you so put." He sat back in his chair, mind working quickly as he fit some of the bits and bobs together. "what symptoms have you been experiencing? I want anything abnormal for you," he eventually hummed.
