Caden said nothing else and picked her up, carrying her up to the bedroom where he set her down. "Get some rest, we're both going to need it. Doubt we will get actual sleep, riddled by what happened." He explained, pressing a kiss to her lips before slipping under the covers.

Rose nodded, slipping under the covers as well and curling into him
| |

Caden turned from her, already knowing he'd be jumpy and waking up every hour from nightmares. He drifted off slowly, already waking up from a nightmare where his dad caught him, waking with a jolt, sweating like a dog, chest heaving, heart beating three times too fast, and a mind trying to drown him.

Rose was asleep, dreamless surprisingly-for now
| |

Caden got out of bed, changing into a pair of shorts, tossing his shirt aside as he walked to the balcony and sat, looking out at the city.
| |

Rose began trembling, whimpering slightly in her sleep as a nightmare claimed her
| |

Caden heard her whimper and darted over, sitting next to her. "You're okay, babe. You're okay," He reassured, rubbing her back.
| |

"I can't.....please....." She muttered, her face pinched as a tear rolled down her face
| |

Caden just sighed, rubbing her back as he looked out once more. His life was a nightmare, Rose was having nightmares about it, and so was Caden. The balcony could be a safehaven, but for now, he couldn't leave Rose. Not yet, atleast.

Rose eventually settled down, her face still pinched with pain as her eyes fluttered open to him. She didn't say anything, moving to wrap her arms around him
