"Stop, don't even think that. Get it out of your head, now." He said, snapping his gaze to her eyes. "I worded that wrong, I am happy with you and I love you, heck I don't know how to word it. Because of what's happened i'm not happy with anything because of my father's surprise......visit, sure, we'll call it that." When Caden mentioned his father, his tone turned ice cold, laced with venom. "But like, our relationship is fine, I promise. Just doesn't feel like we're married because of the recent events, make sense?" He asked, hoping she didn't get the wrong message.

Rose nodded, the thought lingering. "Yeah..." She muttered, looking a bit hurt still. She didn't want to inconvenience him or be unable to protect him so when he said that, it still hurt her-pretty deeply in fact.

Caden sighed internally, wrapping a arm around her and pulling her close. "I still love you, i'm still happy with you, just not happy with anything right now. Mad at the world, you did nothing wrong, I promise." He tried, pressing a kiss to her head. The man had a loose arm around her, so if se wanted to leave his embrace, she was free too.

Rose wrapped her arms around him, not saying anything. She felt the weight of the world on both their shoulders and she wanted to take some of that weight off of Caden. Doing so, though, made her even more stressed and feeling like she couldn't comfort him or help him in any way.

"It's alot in my head right now, and if you don't help then that's fine. I have my own problems, you have your own probelmes, some of them we can't help the other, just have to figure it out on our own." He says, letting out a soft sigh as he melted into her embrace. Caden rested his head on her shoulder, eyes tired, mind rushing, confused and mad at the world.

"No, i've got you." She said quietly. "I love you"

"I love you too," He responded quietly, pulling her closer. "Yeah, i'll make it."

Rose just stood, there, him holding her and her holding him in silence

Caden hugged her tighter, pressing a light kiss to her neck.

Rose didn't smile, didn't move, just closed her eyes
