i'll do that, tbh it makes it easier to write about, i've not got the faintest clue what todays royal life is like lol)

Ella raised her eyebrows at Sages words, tilting her head as she listened to him speak. "Right, my bad for talking to you" she mumbled, waving her hand in his directions by means of acknowledgment to his second comment. After figuring out where her things had been placed, she wriggled herself into pajamas, out of Sages sight, tied her hair and headed back to the bed, not even caring to look in the boys direction. Even if he hadn't meant anything rude by what he said, she was bored, tired and in general in a bad mood, so obviously taking his comments in a bad way. Ella settled herself into the far right of the bed, closer to the door, sitting up against the headboard, playing with her hair.

He sort of huffed out a breath at her mumble, sort of just zoning at the wall as she moved around to get ready. She took a while, but soon enough she was settled in bed, and he slipped into the bathroom to get ready himself. His pajamas weren't really pajamas....but they were certainly more comfortable than his other clothes, especially the fancy outfit he'd been put in today. By the time he came back out, she was asleep, or what looked like she was asleep, so he slid into the bed quietly after a moment, letting out a huge breath before turning over onto his side away from her and practice passing out.

Ella hadn't even realised Sage had eventually slipped into bed, she had been too tired to pay any attention and had fallen asleep rather quickly. The events of the day had taken over quite fast, and she wanted nothing more than to fall asleep and forget about everything. Though that was what happened, she woke up rather early the next morning, so early in fact it was still quite dim outside. She sat up and stared around the room, the strong feeling of sadness setting in. It was finally dawning on her she was now the queen, and had to pretty much..act like it. Had to go to pointless dinners with others, 'meetings' with other useless important people and appear in front of the public. What made it worse is she also had to manage Sage, which she didn't have the energy for in the slightest. After a while of thinking she hauled herself out of bed and to the bathroom, throwing water over her face as soon as she got in there to calm herself down.

Sage had fallen asleep rather quickly as well, though unlike Ella, he slept later in the day instead of waking up early. The old queen never really let him sleep in...she'd woken him up when she got up every morning, ordering him around. So when no one woke him, he just....stayed asleep. It was better that way anyway....he didn't have to think about things. Or feel anything. That might have been the worse part about this whole thing....he felt awful, all the time, and he couldn't trust anyone enough to even relax around them, let alone talk about it and try and figure out some things. Eventually, though, he woke up, and dragged himself out a bed with a sigh, shivering as the cold air hit him. He glanced out the window, surprised to see snow falling. He moved towards the window, watching the white flakes dance around in the air before landing lightly on the few inches that had already fallen. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been outside....and it did seem nice.

By the time Sage had actually woken up, Ella had been dragged into the main hall to basically..greet everyone. Do things she had been told about by her father. It was a long day of important, and in her opinion useless, things, and she ended up tired and unhappy by the time she got back to her chambers. She headed into the room, rubbing her arms as she did so, almost as if she was trying to release the chill from her skin back into the air. Ella wasn't exactly used to the snow, or the general atmosphere of places when it was this cold outside, and it was still taking her body time to understand it all. Her gaze flitted down to Sage as she passed him, though her eyes quickly settled back on the windows to avoid eye contact. "Did you need to get food at any point?" She asked, doing her best to sound helpful or polite though her bad mood was clearly increasing.

Sage had sort of spent his day staring outside, watching the snow pile up over things and the guards train in their field for the few hours they were out there. Eventually though, he had to get up to walk around for a bit before settling down by the window again. He glanced over at the girl when she came back and then grunted. He was hungry....he supposed he hadn't really eaten yet. "I can get it... you shouldn't have to go anywhere else," he said after a moment. "Just write a note or something telling everyone that I'm allowed to be out there."

Ella smiled politely and nodded, disappearing round the corner, and after a couple minutes re appearing with a written note. She handed it to Sage, pulling her hand away rather quickly as it brushed his, sitting down back against the wall on the same chair she had settled herself on yesterday. "There you go" she spoke, her voice quiet. Ella was most definitely still trying to figure the boy out and so far had found absolutely nothing, he gave away, well..nothing. But the more she studied him the more negative things she could see.

Sage sort of just nodded and took the note, noticing how quickly she'd yanked her hand away. So she really didn't like him, did she? He didn't mind that she didn't want to do anything...in fact, he quite liked that. But....part of him did want some kind of positive response from her. He'd gone so long some kind of attention, even if it was negative, that when it was obvious she despised him, it almost hurt worse than her forcing him into something. At least with physical pain he could grit his teeth and deal with it. He padded away with the note though, wandering down to the kitchen. Anyone who saw him stopped him, though thankfully the note got him to and from the kitchen with a bit of food and only a few new bruises

The time that Sage had been gone getting food, Ella spent..drawing. She was convinced that now, her drawings were the only thing she actually had going for her. The only talent she had that would be even slightly recognized by others, mainly because the royal family were big on drawings and paintings, really. He had been gone a decent amount of time, and so she had managed to get down quite a good sketch of the palace, or what she remembered from the tour, and one small outlined sketch a little girl- her younger sister, who was no longer alive. She had been so invested in her own drawings that she didn't have a clue Sage came back, and after she had heard was so startled that she dipped into the bathroom, leaving both drawings displayed on the table.

Sage had moved to just go back to sitting in his corner, though when she suddenly moved to the bathroom, he couldn't help but wander over to look at the papers that were there. He was admittedly rather surprised at the drawings...he didn't know she liked art. He himself spent most of his days keeping his mind out of dark places by drawing or painting. Of course, he'd always made sure to get rid of them or hide them from the old queen....but this one seemed different. He was drawn to the little girl...a younger sibling maybe? He'd lost a sister...had she? Though, when he heard her start to come out of the bathroom, he practically fled back to his corner, not wanting to anger her.
