Josephine smiled and took a small glance around as she decided before pointing off towards the right. "This way then. I know just where to go," she told him before tapping Tobias' sides to urge him forward. The gelding complied and she began to lead them away towards the wooded area of their property.

Caleb chuckled and followed, Splash itching to go a bit faster but he kept her reined in. He patted the mare's neck and kept walking

Tobias seemed to want to speed things up as well, but Josephine didn't let him just yet. "You said you guys did rodeos for a while.. What exactly did yall do? Tobias and I raced barrels when we were younger, but that's been years ago.." Josephine wanted to get to know Caleb a little more.

"Mostly calf-tying but occasionally team roping if someone's partner ditched." He explained, keeping the dancing mare under control but only barely

"Kinda miss the thrill of rodeos.. it's been a while," she hummed, chuckling as she saw how Splash was acting. It wasn't unlike the way Tobias was. "How about we let these two wild things loose? We're just headed straight across the pasture to that opening in the treeline," she suggested, pointing to the area she was talking about.

"I'll race you" He offered, pulling the mare beside the gelding. "Go!" He exclaimed, letting Splash have her head. She took off like a bullet, her ears flat against her head

"You're on!" She giggled, waiting for his mark to let Tobias take off. He bolted right after Splash, his excitement getting the better of him at first. His long stride had him gaining on them in a heartbeat though as Josephine leaned forward in the saddle, getting close to his neck.

'night!) Caleb laughed and kept stride with the gelding, spurring his horse on and slightly pulling ahead

Night!) Josephine laughed, sounding truly happy as she urged Tobias on faster, his ears pinning as he ran, hooves pounding against the ground. The mare was fast, though, and she seemed to be able to keep just a head of them.

As the pair shot into the trees, Caleb gently pulled up his mare so the horses wouldn't run into anything
