Liz clapped her hands together before grinning at Sage. "Da," She said again, crawling closer to him before curling up. "Liz like Da,"

Sage couldn't help but laugh, clearly delighted in the girl's words. "Da loves you too," he told her happily, pressing a kiss to her head.

Elara smiled as she heard the faint sound of the girl's calls, continuing to strip pelts.

Sage continued to interract with the little girl until they had both worn themselves out, and she'd fallen asleep on his chest. He'd just watched her curl in happily, though it wasn't long before he passed out himself again, this time on his back and his arms wrapped protectively around her.

Elara walked in a few hours later and saw the two passed out, walking over and pulling the blanket up over both of them before heading to go cook.

Sage stirred slightly when she pulled the blanket over them, but didn't wake. He did wake a while later, when he smelled food cooking. His stomach rumbled, and he felt actually hungry, so maybe he could eat something tonight.

Elara was already at his side when he woke, setting a plate of fresh cooked fox on the nightstand. "I plated enough for both of you, so don't go eating everything." She teased lightly, taking her smaller plate before taking a bite and focusing her attention to Varys. "How're you feeling today, Sage?"

Sage chuckled softly and shook his head. "I couldn't eat that much if I tried," he mused softly, reaching for the plate and settling agaisnt the headboard of the bed with Liz. "better," he noted quietly. "The fact that she hasn't shown up yet scares me though," he added softly, not meeting her gaze. It terrified him...more than he really wanted to admit.

"Yeah true, guess you're right." She mused, her gaze flicking to the bucket before he started talking again. "Well that's good, progress is progress." Elara stated with a smile, although it faded slightly when he brought up Amy. The woman went quiet for a moment, leaning on the table slightly as she stared at the floor for only a few moments. She knew it terrified him, and it scared her as well. Simply because, what if she couldn't defend Sage and Liz? What if she killed Sage? Then what would Elara have to do? Elara let out a silent breath, trailing her gaze back up to Sage. "Well, do you want to talk about it?" She asked, voice soft along with her gaze.

Sage nodded when she mentioned any progress was good, though by then his thoughts about any had dulled anything good about his previous comment. Though, at her question he let out a sort of bitter laugh, curling his legs up to his chest and wrapping his arms around them, shaking his head dully. "About what," he huffed. There were so many parts to it - what had happened, the whole backstory on this, what he was worried about now. Just so many options. None of them were good. "If I start I'm not sure I'll be able to stop," he added, brows furrowing as he admitted it. It was raw....a statement he'd meant to keep behind closed doors. But it had slipped out, and he just hoped nothing bad would come out of it.
