Malakai considered it for a moment. But shook his head. "Can we just stay for a bit?" He asked hoarsely. He just wanted to relax and rest with her. He wasn't ready for all the attention just yet. He just wanted to relax with her for a while. Kai hoped she understood. He felt like he was going to fall asleep again, and he just wanted her close by. So that he wasn't alone. He wanted to just hug and cuddle with her. But he didn't get his hopes up. He knew she didn't love him. She probably didn't want to hug him or cuddle.

Camery nodded gently to him, looking down at his hand. If he wanted her to stay, she would. He looked so... awful. She hated seeing him like this, she really did. She sighed gently to him. "Yeah, of course," she murmured, running a hand through his now matted hair. "No one has to come until you're ready," she whispered softly to him. When she saw him starting to doze off, she called the nurse back over to put the mouthpeice back in, which she did without a second thought. She held his hand firmly as he fell asleep, sort of absently mindedly humming a tune. She was still angry about everything, but not at him. She was sorry, and god did she want him to be okay.

Malakai smiled at her, "Thank you," he whispered. Kai grumbled when the nurse put the mouthpiece back on. He hated wearing it, but he knew he had to. So he let the nurse put it back on, letting the machine take care of his breathing. Kai fell back asleep, holding her hand tightly, drifting off into sleep, listening to the melody she hummed.

Camery sat with him for a good few hours as he fell asleep, just making sure he was... okay, she supposed. His injuries had started swelling and bruising. It was a good thing... they were trying to heal. After a little while, though, she moved to gently take the pen and moved towards the cast on his leg, drawing patterns and shapes just to keep hersel occupied... and to make the cast 'pretty' as she would have put it. She sort of put her name down the inside of his leg, finding it more amusing than anything.

Malakai remained asleep, dreaming about her. The nurse walked in with dinner for Camery. She set it down beside her and gave Kai his dose of meds before slipping away.

Camery flashed a small smile to the nurse when she came in, and took the food happily, although stayed perched between where his leg was suspended on the bed. It was a little while until she saw Malakai stir again, though, and flashed him a small smile.

Malakai began to have a nightmare. He was falling again, but he was falling towards her. "CAM! MOVE!" He yelled, warning her, but she just looked up at him as he smashed into her. Kai jolted awake, sitting up straight, but his lungs were trying to hyperventilate, and the ventilator was programmed to stay at a constant pace. Kai felt like he was being strangled, like he wasn't getting enough air. He clawed at the mouthpiece but he couldn't get it off. He started panicking, whining for help, looking at Camery desperately as he continued to claw at the mouthpiece.

Camery gave a small hum when he saw him wake up, although when he started to struggle she jumped up to push his hands away and helped him with the mouthpeice, since she'd seen the nurse do it. "Hey, hey, you're alright," she told him quietly, hoping her presance was some sort of comfort. "What ha-" she started to ask, although she was pretty rudely inturrupted when Orianna walked in with the queen, the two of them chatting away. "It's not a good time," she murmured hurridly, giving his hand a gentle squeeze as she tried to help him settle down.

Malakai Negri - Malakai gasped for air when she took the mouthpiece off, very thankful for her. He immediately hugged her, burying his face in her shoulder and breaking down again, crying and gasping for air. His mother and Orianna walked in, but Kai didn't even notice until Camery said something. He glanced up from her shoulder at them, his face panic-stricken. His mother nodded and gave him a sympathetic look to the both of them before dragging Orianna out of the room. Orianna just stared in shock.

Camery sighed softly as he hugged her, and tried to slow her breathing down just a touch so that he could relax with her. She sighed, and ran her hand softly through his hair and rested his cheek on his head. One of her arms wrapped tightly around him, and she sat back after a moment or two when his crying had calmed down and he had stopped gaping for breath. "Shh, hun," she whispered as she leaned forwards so that his back was against the pillow again. "I've got you," she whispered, her hand running up and down his neck and shoulder in hopefully a comforting way. "Alright?" She asked him softly.
