"Mhm. These are his three yearlings. It was two breedings, but, like I said, Miss BS Fortuna Wheeler decided to pop out twins." She grinned, pointing to three Quarter horse yearlings. One was a blue roan colt, with a diamond star, the next was a dark bay, nearly black, colt, with a crescent blaze, and a coronet on his front, left leg, and the last was a gorgeous solid white filly, with pretty blue eyes. "The dark bay colt belongs to BS Trimphant Queen, and the blue roan colt, and the albino filly belong to BS Fortuna Wheeler." |

"Why are you doin' all this?" He asked, chewing on the inside of his cheek in some sort of nervousness, his past slipping into his mind. -Not worth it- -She's just doin' it to take the foal and say it's hers- -Don't trust any of it- -Not even gonna be yours since she'll take it- Those were all things his mind shouted at him, his expression falling just a smidge. |

"Because you earned it. You help out, ask for nothing, do things I don't even tell you to do, you just do it." She responded. "I mean, why wouldn't I? You're my friend, so, yeah, I'll pay for the breeding, you can use one of my mares, or one of yours. All I gotta do is just make the call, and you can decide if you want a live breeding, or artificial insemination." |

Marco was still skeptical, looking at her for a moment before speaking again. "So. . . what do you want in return? Things always come with a price, you can't just. . . people don't just do this just because they're friends, always gotta pay double back." He explained, a small tremor in his voice arriving which he hated. |

She looked at him, confused. "I don't want anything, Marco. I promise." She assured. |

Marco considered for a moment, nodding though he still didn't believe her. "Yeah. . . gotcha." He murmured, remembering things he wished he couldn't. |

She knew that look he had, and her gaze deflated. "You don't believe me." She stated, but perked up, despite the hurt. "That's fine, I get it. Let me know if you're interested in any other studs or mares I can breed with/breed to." |

He nodded, clearing his throat as he quickly hid everything and turned back to Nirvana. "But speaking of studs and stuff---this big guy, nice build, seems pretty calm." |

"Yeah, he really is. Considering I matched his parents together. Like I said, I got connections, they were asking for my opinions, thoughts, matches. So, I examined their files, everything, throughly, and made his parents suggestion. And, well, he came a year later." She responded. |

"Well then, might just have to ask for your help when it comes time to breed that thing." He mused, gesturing over at Puma who snorted and kicked her stall. "Well, i'm gonna go get a stall ready for him." Marco explained, grabbing a few bags of shavings and a pitchfork before finding an empty stall---near the end of the barn---and taking out his pocket knife, slicing the bags open and also his hand, wincing slightly. "Damnit," He muttered, wiping the blood off and continuing to work. |

Steady Rain all Day
