"You don;t have to, but I do. It's terrifying." She said, lightly snapping from the pain that was rising again
| |

"Yeah I know," He lightly snapped back, the thoughts already flooding his mind.
| |

She sighed and walked downstairs, out the back door, and sat on the lawn
| |

Caden came and waited on the porch, speaking after a moment. "How can I help you?"
| |

"I don't know if you can." She said, not turning as a tear of fear and defeat rolled down her face. She swiped it away, hoping he didn't notice
| |

"Might be able to, might not. All depends on what you think." He noted, voice collected.
| |

"I'm so scared..." She said, her voice breaking with the sob in her throat that she barely contaned
| |

"That makes the two of us," He said softly, voice carrying over the breeze as he came and sat down next to her.
| |

Rose was silent for a long moment. "What would you do...if I died?" She asked quietly
| |

Caden went dead silent, his breathing silencing as he tensed slightly, looking down at the ground. "Kill myself, wouldn't have anything else to live for." He replied, voice barely audible as he spoke. The man never wanted to think of the day she'd die, or if he'd even live to see it. For it scared him deeply, as he knew that'd be the day his light was extinguished.
