Rose just nodded softly, not looking at him as she drew her knees up to her chest

Caden put a arm around her, there if she needed him. "Look, we'll find something to get rid of this. Whatever this even is." He promised, more to himself than Rose.

Rose just nodded, leaning on him and closing her eyes

-I'll find something, start research, if I have to i'll lock myself in the study and stay in there until i've come up with something.- Caden let her lean on him, the late Arizona sun beaming.

Sorry, had to check on animals outside for coyotes) Rose thought of her time in the hospital and how deep the fear in Caden's eyes had been. She felt so guilty for it...

(no worries! animals always come first) Caden stayed where he was, geting lost in thought.

"I should head inside..." She muttered, getting up

"Alright," Caden mumbled, standing and heading for the door.

Rose didn't take his hand, crossing her arms instead. She sighed and walked inside, not bothering to eat anything before she went upstairs and broke down crying. She tried to be quiet and failed a bit

Caden had made it a routine, if she went upstairs and it was late and she hadn't eaten dinner, he'd make her something before bringing it up and setting it aside the bed on the nightstand. He lingered for a moment longer, watching her for a second with distant eyes before heading down to the kitchen and leaning on the counter. The man took five shots of Fireball, the burn keeping him going.
