Elara quickly extinguished the fire and headed inside, bringing in Varys for he didn't reek as he did in summer and he could act as a source of warmth for one of the cabins occupants. She helped Sage back in and smiled softly as he passed out almost instantly, knowing he'd rest well per usual. The woman pulled the thick wool blanket off the couch and over him, taking one of his thinner ones as she knew since he was more frail the cold would seep in deeper then it would for her. Elara went and lay on the couch, making sure Liz was with Sage and not wandering around before curling close to Varys before, eventually, drifting off.

Sage slept rather well, only waking up once due to bad dreams. Liz was there though, so he was able to calm down quicjly enough and then drift back off. He woke late the next morning, everyone else already out and about. Varys was laying on the floor next to him...no doubt Elara had left him there in case Amy came back. The wolf greeted him happily, pulling a chuckle from Sage as he moved to pat the animal's head and use him to steady himself a bit as he stood, looking around to see if Elara and Liz were nearby or if they were off doing work somewhere. Elara said nothing as he awoke, although she heard the soft chuckle escape from him. Instead, she was focused up in a letter Varys came back with from Dorion, both heartbroken yet happy her lover-er, old friend had written to her. How he found the address was both concerning and good at the same tiem. Once she heard Sage stand she folded the letter and quickly put it up, seeing him up. "Morning,"

Sage had glanced up when elara spoke, offering her a still half asleep grin. "Hey," he mused lightly, running a hand over his face to wake up and then attempting to run his fingers through his sleep-tangled hair before tossing it into a quick braid. They had work to do today, so hopefully it would stay out if his way like that. "Sleep ok," he asked with a sort of yawn, reaching for a cup and filling it with water before sitting back down on the edge of the bed, varys settling next to him happily.

"Hey," She greeted softly, smiling up at him before gazing at the letter before deciding it could wait. Elara stood and saw him up, grinning a bit more. "Look at you, getting around better." The woman said, a tone of gladness and excitement in her tone.

Sage chuckled in response to her comment, throwing her an amused grin. "I think I'm using Varys as a cane though," he noted, patting the wolf next to him. The animal didn't mind, and it did make Sage feel a bit better he had soemthing to steady hismelf on. He could get around better though...he was healing. It was a good sign. "I just wish I could heal faster," he grumbled. Winter would hit soon, and they needed both of them to pull this off to prepare. And they really didn't have much of him.

Elara chuckled at his response, noting him using Varys. "By the looks of it you are," She said, listening in to the rest. The woman slightly scoffed at his next comment, heading to go tidy up a smidge. "Don't we all? You'll get back to how you were eventually, all it takes is time, a lot of time."

Sage chuckled and then groaned. "I know, I just wish it would hurry up. We can't afford to have me sitting on my ass while winter's approaching," he grumbled. Then his brows furrowed. "And I'm worried what Amy might be planning," he admitted quietly.

"Eh, you do what you can, and in the end, it all adds up." She reassured, folding a few blankets. "Sage," Elara paused, turning her gaze to him. "i'll fight tooth and nail for you, I owe you, for life."

Sage sighed and nodded, throwing her a surprised look when she spoke up again. He sort of just stared at her, the surprise evident on his face. He was used to people like Amy...not this. Support. He was used to only having, well....himself. "I'd rather you not have to," he noted gently after a moment. "But thank you."
