Sage glanced between Mari and the doctor while they talked, and then eventually he looked back down at Silas, who was sitting up in his lap, propped up against his torso. He seemed happy enough, though he knew he'd be getting hungry soon, and if Mari was planning on feeding him naturally, then they should get back by the time that happened. The doctor chuckled and nodded at Mari's comment. "That's quite normal," he hummed in a rather amused manner. "Now go on, don't stay up here waiting around for no reason," he snorted, waving them on. Sage snorted in amusement and helped Mari up once Silas started to coo hungrily.

Mari hummed lightly to the man before sighing and forcing herself up. "Come on," she hummed lightly to Sage, about to offer him her hand before remembering he was carrying the child for now. Once they were up thanked the doctor before smiling lightly to Sage. "Get the baby to bed then food?" She asked with a cocked head. "I think Amber is feeling neglected, you know," she told him with a bit of a chuckle. She was more than happy to chill out for a while beforehand, though. (kinda short, I'm on the run)

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded, rising with a grunt and then wandering along next to Mari. "I know," he groaned. 'i try to give her a fuss when I can but I'm busy," he sighed. "And she goes to catch mice while I'm at the barn, so that's that," he chuckled. Silas had started cooing again, so he was getting hungry. "Feed him and settle him and then we can cuddle up," he hummed lightly. "That's what you really want, admit it," he chuckled, nudging the girl lightly, really just teasing her. They were back soon enough, and he handed Silas off to Mari to feed him however she wanted to before putting things away. He took a pill too, just in case, but didn't let Mari notice. He just didn't want to make her feel bad about anything. And, well, if she was feeding the baby naturally...it was probably a good idea to take one. (All good lol)

Mari hummed gently to the boy when he teased her about cuddling up, and, of course, cuddling up with Amber too. "She's missing you," she told him with a bit of a chuckle. "She stared at me until I gave her a fuss," she then added to the boy. She bumped him back when he nudged her and stuck her tongue out at him, "What's wrong with that if I do," she told him with a bit of a chuckle. When he handed the baby to her, she took him happily before sitting down on the bed, she pursed her lips a little bit before sighing and getting herself sorted out. She wasn't sure how well the baby would take to nursing from her, but she could try. It took half an hour or so minutes, and the child had started to cry by the time she'd managed to finally get him to latch on, though once he did he started to quieten down a little bit.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "I know," he hummed. "Don't worry, I'll cuddle up with her once we get sorted out," he chirped. Once he got everything set down and taken care of, he wandered back to Mari and Amber, picking the kitten up and flopping down on the bed with a sigh. Silas had quieted down by then, thankfully, and he glanced over at the two of them before Amber pawed at his face, so he turned his attention back to the cat with a slight chuckle. He was rather thankful that he'd taken that pill... otherwise he might have an issue on his hands. But that was settled, so he'd be alright. Amber had curled up on his chest happily, a purr rumbling loud enough to vibrate the cat.

Mari sat with the baby for a little while, letting him nurse happily... he was a lot better with this than she expected him to be. She didn't think he would particularly take to it, but it must be a bit better than formula. And, she had to admit, it was a bit of pressure off her. When he flopped down next to her, she sighed and rested her head on the shoulder as the child nursed. "That took too long," she complained to him with a soft chuckle... he certainly took to the bottle easier... but if the doctor said this was better then she could do it.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comment and shrugged. "Well, he is used to a bottle, not you," he mused. "And now that he knows what's what, it'll be easier if you decide to continue that way," he pointed out, still stroking Amber happily. The baby seemed happy though ...and the girl seemed relitively happy too, if not just content. (Bit short lol)

Mari hummed lightly, and once the boy let go, she sighed and wrapped herself back up before standing up and going to rest him in his crib. "I suppose so... he's not used to boob," she chuckled before flopping back down on the bed next to Sage and resting her head on his shoulder. "It's was a weight off my shoulders though... quite literally," the girl mused as she reached out to fuss the kitten happily... well, she wasn't really a kitten any more. She'd certainly grown up quite a bit over the last few months now... and she was only getting cuddlier. She was such a sweet kitten... and certainly a nice member of their little family.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. Then he gave the girl a wide grin. "Is now a bad time to make a really crude joke about that," he giggled, resting his head on hers. She'd probably assume what he was getting at, but he wasn't actually going to make the joke...it'd be less funny that way. He looked back down at Amber, who was certainly having a very good time getting cuddled by two people. "You put up with a lot, don't you baby," he hummed after a moment as the cat nudged up under his chin and curled up happily, purring quite loudly.

Mari smiled when the kitten curled up next to them, purring quite loudly. She then glanced up at Sage with a bit of a chuckle. "Depends on just how crude the joke is," she told him lightly, a bit of a laugh escaping her. As the kitten closed her eyes, she smiled softly, reaching out to tickle her side, causing her to roll onto her back, stretching as she wanted her stomach rubbed. Mari laughed softly before letting out a heavy breath of air, glad to just stop and relax with Sage for a minute. "She certainly does. She's probably wondering where she went wrong, ending up with us," she hummed in amusement.
