Sage slept well enough, considering he was cuddled up with the two people he felt most comfortable with. Of course, he was comfortable with the doctor too, but he didn't live with him. When Mari woke him, his eyes fluttered open slowly and a soft smile formed on his face, almost without him realizing it. "Hi," he whispered airily, shifting slightly to stretch and then settled back down with a soft huff of air. He liked mornings like this....where it was him and Mari, waking up slowly. It was peaceful. Comfortable.

Mari smiled at his airy greeting and sat down next to him happily. "Hey," she whispered to him before pulling the blanket up a little bit to keep warm, little Amber crawling in between them. "I made breakfast," she hummed lightly, gently fussing the kitten before turning to wrap her arms around Sage again... she certainly felt a lot better now... the storm had settled down a little bit, though it was still raining heavily against the roof. And her shoulders felt lighter, too, though she supposed that made sense... it was nice a nice morning, despite the weather outside. Edited at April 12, 2023 07:06 AM by Belle

Sage smiled groggily when Amber and the girl both slipped in under the blankets with him. He reached for Amber and held her against his chest, snuggling up into Mari when she wrapped her arms around him. "Thanks," he murmured lightly. He'd forgotten she had the day off...but it would be nice to spend some time together. It was a rather rainy day, so it was a good day to cuddle up and relax a bit. Of course, he still had to see to the horses, but he wouldn't be down there long...he couldn't train mystery in this weather, and Chaos wouldn't want to leave the little shelter in his paddock. So, there wasn't much to do besides feed and water the animals.

(How was your testing? :) Mari smiled softly, knowing the boy was probably rather tired. He never slept during storms too well, but then again he had his sleeping pills the doctor had given him. She wouldn't question it... she was just happy to have a day where they could actually just relax... it had been weeks. Silas had just started to settle a little bit now... so it would be a bit quieter, hopefully. She sighed and closed her eyes a little bit just enjoying the quiet. They could have a nice quiet day. He'd have to go and see the horses at some point, but she could hold onto him until then.

(Long lol. Went from that straight to badminton practice for three hours. Love sports, but I'm exhausted haha) Sage had no intention of moving, not at first since it was warm, but especially not now that he had Mari and Amber snuggled up with him. He'd missed the feel of the cats whiskers ticking his chin...he really had been busy. But that was alright, she didn't seem too upset about it. And she was getting just as much cuddles as Mari was, which was rather ironic. "I think Amber would be the ring bearer," he half joked, still really half asleep. But the idea of the cat bringing them the rings was....nice, to say the least.

(God, yeah you must be tired lmao. Can't stand sports other than my athletics. As long as everything went alright, though!) Mari sighed at his comment and shook her head, shuffling in a bit more as she tried to wrap herself around the boy. "Or maybe I should be the ring bearer and you two get married," she huffed sarcastically before grabbing one of Sages arms and wrapping it around her side. "I want some love too," she complained, knowing full well that both her and the pretty much same. Still, nonetheless, she wanted him to cuddle up a bit more. To be honest, with the wedding, she didn't mind what happened... as long as it was small and sweet. And, if Sage wanted the cat to be the ring bearer, then they'd find a way to make it happen. Silas would be there too... everyone important to them would be.

(Haha yeah, I think it all went fine. Luckily practice wont be as heavy today since we have tournaments the next three days) Sage snickered at the girl's comment and rolled around so he could cuddle up to the girl a bit more. "She'd be less complainy," he teased the girl lightly. "But I don't think she'd make the best wife," he chuckled, regarding the cat, who was purring loudly against his chest. "She's rather lazy at times." He patted the cat softly and then reached over to press a kiss to Mari's cheek happily. He didn't really have a reason for it, but he wanted to, so he did it. He was excited...about a lot of things, really. His birthday that Anya had made up was soon, and the wedding would be here in a few months.... everything was great.

Mari pouted at him and tapped his shoulder in a jokey manner. "I'm sure she would," she huffed out before rolling her eyes. She knew she could be... a handful, but they could joke all the same. She then wrapped herself around him and tucked her head into the crook of his neck to get comfortable. "I'm not sure you'd want a cat as a wife anyway... lazy or not," she then teased him lightly. She'd promised to be good to Sage... he'd want for nothing. She didn't have very much, but she'd give him all she had. She wanted to make him happy. She grinned at his little kiss before leaning in to gently peck the soft of his neck. "I made you breakfast, so I suggest you eat it," she mused gently.

Sage chuckled lightly and shook his head. "No, I don't suppose I would," he mused lightly, patting Mari's back lightly when she curled into him a bit more. He felt a smile drift onto his face when she kissed his neck, before chuckling again and nodding. "Ok, ok," he laughed. "You're so impatient. No wonder you were an awful baby," he teased the girl lightly, untangling himself from both her and the cat, who meowed loudly in complaint before getting up and crawling back into his lap. Sage chuckled and reached for the plate Mari had brought him, curious as to what she'd made. He liked anything she made...he wasn't picky, but he certainly had his favorites. Either way, it was nice of the girl to bring him something. Edited at April 13, 2023 10:52 AM by NightClan

Mari scowled at him before shifting away a little bit so he could sit up. "You love me for it. Now eat," she huffed with a small chuckle. "I just think we're lucky the baby doesn't take after me," she hummed lightly, the baby starting to coo a little bit. "Speaking of the devil," she hummed lightly as she trotted over to grab the child... gently bouncing him up and down in her arms as she went to plop down on the bed, a small smile on her face as she tended to Silas. He really was her world, and you could see it on her face as she played with him.
