Sage chuckled lightly and grinned over at the girl. "Well, I don't know how I was as a baby so he might just be his own unique personality," he hummed lightly, taking a bite of the food. It was amazing...her cooking always was, of course, but he did have his preferred foods. He supposed everyone did. He grinned at Silas and wiggled his fingers in a wave to the baby, which resulted in waving arms and a happy coo accompanied with a gummy grin on the baby's part. He watched them play as he ate, smiling dumbly the entire time. Man, he loved them both. He suddenly couldn't wait for the wedding....he wanted to call Mari his wife, more than he could ever tell her.

Mari pouted at him before shrugging. "Maybe," she hummed gently as she glanced back to the baby, continuing to make her funny faces at him. His happy cooing filled the air, filling Mari with such a strong feeling of joy. She did love him... both of them, more than either of them could ever know. She watched Sage wave his fingers at the baby, and her smile only grew. "I suppose we'll never know... but he's certainly a daddies boy," she hummed as she slipped her hands under the child's arms and pulled him in for a kind of hug and pressed a kiss to the top of his head before continuing to play with him. "I love you though baby, yes I do," she babbled in a babyish tongue to him as she tickled his sides, getting yet another happy squeal from him.

Sage chuckled lightly and shook his head. "You're both crazy," he hummed in amusement. He wasn't sure why they both liked him so much, but he certainly wasn't going to complain about it. He finished his food after a bit, and crawled over to fuss the baby a bit. Amber had curled up next to Silas....they'd gotten along rather well, and they both seemed to enjoy each other's company. He had a feeling Amber may not like him once he figured out how to crawl and all the rest. The thought was amusing, though. He grinned at Mari's coo and curled up against her, watching Silas happily. "He's a sweet baby," he hummed. "And he'll stay that way," he huffed, a bit more serious tone in his voice. He wouldn't let anything bad happen to his son...this child would never, ever go through what he had. Having a sibling was great, but that was probably out of the question.

Mari chuckled softly to the boy before shaking her head. "Probably... though, so far you're the only one to have noticed." Mari turned her head and gently kissed his lips, her smile huge as she rested her head on his shoulder. She couldn't wait to marry this man... she hadn't known him for much more than a year, which was why everyone was so worried, but this would work between them. She knew it would... and she loved him a hell of a lot. She nodded quietly when he said Silas would stay like this... he would, and the two of them would make sure of it... he'd stay happy. Nothing bad would ever come to him, not if she or Sage could help it. He'd live a much better life than either of them. She looked down at the baby, who was looking between the two of them with wide eyes. "Does he still look alright now?" She asked with a small frown as she brushed the small amount of hair that the child had with her hand. He did look brighter... so she supposed the formula hadn't done much for him at all... she just didn't want him getting sick now. Edited at April 13, 2023 03:33 PM by Belle

Sage chuckled lightly, a smile crossing his face at her kiss. This would all work out...it was working now, and it wasn't likely to change. Not while they loved eachother so much. Not while they loved Silas so much, either. If anything, they'd stay with eachother for him. But he knew they'd never not love eachother. He cocked his head and chuckled at the girl's worry about whether or not Silas looked alright. "He looks fine," he noted with amusement. "He's never not looked fine." The boy would eventually get sick or hurt...but they could deal with that when it happened. For now, he was healthy and happy.

Mari glanced to Sage then back to their baby with a cocked head. "You're sure?" She asked with furrowed brows. "He's not pale or anything?" He looked fine, absolutely fine... she was just worrying herself a little bit too much. She seemed to do that quite a lot now... just worry about meaningless things. But she supposed it was kind of just instincts. She just wanted to look after her baby the best she possibly could. She eventually sighed and looked back to Sage. "I'm gonna get showered... is there anything you were wanting to get done?" She asked quietly as she closed her eyes a little bit.

Sage chuckled lightly but nodded and patted the girls leg reassuringly. "The lads fine," he hummed. "He looks perfectly normal. Youre just worrying." He shrugged slightly...he couldn't blame her, he worried about both of them, a lot, when he didn't need to. He shook his head in response to her question and hummed lightly. "Nope. But I'll figure out something to do," he chirped. Really, joining her and starting something sounded appealing to say the least, but he wasn't going to ask that of her. Not u til she made a move, if she made one. That's what the pills were for...to keep his head about him as much as he could. But they couldn't leave Silas alone anyway...so he'd watch him, and then go to the barn when Mari was back.

Mari looked at Silas for a few moments, his usual gummy smile across his face as he looked between the two of them with those gorgeous amber eyes of his. She sighed and nodded, knowing that Sage was right... she just needed to relax a little bit. Not worry so much... but that was difficult, to say the least. She hummed before putting the child back in his crib as his head started to loll. She hummed gently before turning back to Sage, leaning over him a little bit. "Wanna join me before you go then?" She asked with a bit of a playful hum. They didn't really have to do much... she just liked the idea of being with him.

Sage watched the girl out the baby away once his head started to fall to the side. He slept quite a bit, and it stayed that way overnight, thankfully. It was definitely more relaxing, more easy on both him and Mari. He shrugged when Mari asked him to join her and nodded, humming "why not," before crawling out of the bed. He was suddenly pretty glad for those pills...she was playful, but he didn't think she'd want to go very far, and the pills were making it easier to just...be with her. He was glad he'd asked the doctor about it, because otherwise he might try to start something again. But no, if she wanted him she'd have to ask, because he wasn't going to ask her again...not when it had scared her and almost hurt them before.

Mari grinned when the man agreed to come with her, "Well, that wasn't very enthusiastic, was it Sage?" She mused to him before pecking his lips again, then hopped out of bed and gently went to press a light kiss to Silas's head as he slept, making sure he was comfortable. She trotted towards the bathroom, turning the shower on to let it warm up... which, quite honestly, took quite a while due to the fact it'd dropped pretty cold out... but soon the bathroom was filled with hot steam, which to be honest relaxed her muscles a tiny bit. She eventually stripped off her clothes before crawling into the shower, wetting her hair and letting the water run down her shoulders while she waited for the boy.
