Sage pretty much slept through the night, and slept pretty well too, thankfully. He woke up briefly when Mari got up to get Silas, though cuddled back up and fell asleep again when she got back in the bed. He was grateful for a good rest....he didn't normally get one. He woke up in a puddle of warm sunlight, which was definitely nice. Warm and cozy...just the way he liked it.

Mari woke up fairly early in the morning, when she felt the boy next to her shift. She was pretty much on top of him... well, her head and arms were on his chest, and her legs were still entwined with his. She let out a heavy breath and hid from the sun against him. "Morning," she whispered gently, wrapping her arms a little bit tighter around him... he smelled good, again like a mossy forest in after a morning dew, a scent that she'd come to adore. He was warm too... and his soft breaths were more than a comfort to her.

Sage, of course, didn't mind the fact that the girl was pretty much using him as a human pillow. He just enjoyed cuddling up with her. He shifted slightly in a sort of lazy stretch and huffed out a half asleep breath before settling down again. He hummed a tired good morning to the girl, wanting to just be lazy for a while. They had plenty of time...and while he knew Mari had to work eventually, he did sort of wish she didn't have to leave. That wasn't unusual though...if he could always stay with her, then he would, but that just wasn't how life worked. But that was ok...she didn't work long. And for now, she was still here in his arms, just where he wanted her.

Mari hummed happily to the boy at his sleepy morning, though just curled into him a little bit more. She was happy... and very comfortable. "You make a good pillow," she hummed quietly, slipping her hands back into his shirt with a happy smile.

Sage hummed happily when the girl slipped he hands under his shirt again. "Good, I'm glad I'm comfortable," he murmured, with a twinge of amusement in his voice. He didn't mind the girl laying on him....it was quite the opposite in fact, but this was admittedly a bit funny.

Mari gave a glimpse of a smile in response to him before chuckling gently into him. "You're very comfortable," she hummed softly to the boy. He was, in fact, very, very comfortable. There wasn't really much denying that. She moved a little bit, sitting up and kind of straddling him before stretching with a bit of a yawn. She looked down at him for a moment, her eyes still squinted and sleepy before she gave a bit of a smile. "You're so handsome in the mornings," she observed lightly before settling back down again, but not before she went in to press a soft kiss to his cheeks.

Sage hummed lightly, letting the girl do pretty much whatever she wanted, though a light blush did cross his cheeks at her comment. "Are you saying I'm not handsome all the time," he hummed, sort of just teasing the girl a little bit. Joking around lightly. He felt a sleepy smile flicker across his face though, and he wrapped his arms around her again when she settled back down.

Mari hummed softly to him before gently pressing a kiss to his neck, then burying her nose into his chin. "No, only in the mornings," she hummed airily. "And you're cute during the day," she murmured before resting her head back on his chest and letting her muscles relax. "But you're absolutely steaming at night," she chuckled lightly. She was still tired... she was pretty much the only one that could feed Silas now, so most of that getting up in the night was her duty. She didn't mind so much, but it was a tiny bit... tiring, from time to time.

Sage chuckled lightly and hummed, drawing the girl in closer to his chest again. "Good to know," he hummed. Though, when she said he was steaming at night, he chuckled again, shaking his head in an amused manner. "So nighttime is the best time to get affection from you, is that what you're saying," he teased her lightly. He did feel rather proud of himself though, even if she was a bit biased.

Mari chuckled lightly to the boy before nodding lightly. "And in the mornings, if you're lucky," she mused gently. "I give you affection to you whenever you want it, you know that," she told him with a bit of a laugh. She took in a deep breath before letting it out and rolling to the side, gently poking his side. "Will you come for a walk with me? To the lake or something? We need to do something fun, we've been cooped up in the castle for too long," she hummed lightly. She pecked his neck again before gently falling to the side, though was still wrapped around him.
