I felt guilty as she stopped talking, feeling rather bad for snapping at her about something so...stupid. It's just the past. Needs to be let go. Easy.

Malakai started crying, and I instantly started doing everything I learned to calm him. "Sh, you're okay, i've got you." Wait a minute.... "You're okay, we've got you." Okay,....seriously what the fuck? First off, it'd been years, second off, why was he hearing his dead best friend all over again? It'd taken him years to get over his death, how the fuck did it seep back.
