The young mare sighed softly looking away, unable to make eye contact. She was too ashamed of the words she had spoken. Why did she think he would care anyways. He hadn't before. But why did he ask her then? The words stayed with her until she heard him begin to speak. The thoughts left her then and she looked at him with relief. She hadn't been able to tell anyone about what she went through, she felt the waves of the burden lift from her then and felt as if the chains that weighed her down broke suddenly. It felt, good. She finally felt peace for a moment as she felt the healing process begin. Even if she never saw him again, if they ended up parting ways. She knew she would be okay. She nodded. "Thank you." She said gently and looked onwards toward the beach.

Once they hit the sand she sighed happily taking in the warmth and the ocean breeze and sounds. It was amazing and new here. Her tail and mane were tousled gently in the wind. Audits pricked to the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore and against rocks. It was breathtaking. She opened her eyes looking around mesmerized at the sights. When he spoke again she looked over at him. "I know....But Id rather be honest and face the wrath then deal with falling in love with someone on false pretenses. I'm not going to lie. I feel like that would be worse, what If I found someone who wanted me but wanted foals and then years later they question why I we haven't had any?....besides, I don't have much left to live for so why should I care if they decide to kill me. They'd be doing me a favor anyways. If they chose to make me stay in their herd, I'd probably be abused, but it's nothing I couldn't handle. At least I'd be somehwhat safe in the herd. At this point, I don't want to be alone anymore. I'd deal with the pain if I had to." She said softly before walking away and towards the water. She stopped when the water reached her knees and she sighed closing her eyes and felt the ocean around her.

The stallion haulted in his tracks at the words of the mare, he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Audits softly pinned in shock and disappointment, a very confused expression shown on his frame with furrowed eyebrows. It was like this mare didn't care what happened to her, like she could care less if she was dead or breathing the fresh air she was right now, that she'd be willing to let a stallion do as he pleased with her. Snorting loudly with a shake of his frame he trotted after the mare, "hold on a minute" he nickered loudly as he softly reached out to tug at her mane, drawing her attention to stop.

Standing tall in front of her, nostrils flarring, plumage swishing at his side, he peered down to her with his cold hues "All to not be lonely, you'd settle for whatever you get?? Even if you was with some nasty good for nothing stud that would waste you away!?? Sure... go ahead and tell him the truth, how do you know you'd even be wanted?? You could be killed for that information" his tone getting more angry by the second. "I thought you pets thought more of your life than that, you have to be strong out here or you will never survive. You don't ever settle for less!" he snapped at her with a clack of his teeth. He could feel his nerves get the better of him, how could one say such things. Yes, he too had his struggled and crappy life, but she was so young to not care about her life more than she just spoke, his muscles softly tensed as he stood in the mares way.

The mare sighed sadly lowering her head in shame. She didn't look at it that way sometimes. Sometimes she had become depressed from the things she had benn through. She tried to hide it but for some reason she felt comfortable with Vader. "Because. Sometimes I feel like I'm not worth it. I just want someone to love me. But I know its probably never going to happen." She said. "I'm a realist. At this point I'd settle for anything. Even death, so I'm not struggling anymore alone. Sometimes I get depressed." She sighed. It was the truth. She looked down. Audits fell and a tear did so too. "No one wants me." She breathed sadly. She looked up at him, her eyes glistening with tears threatening to escape. Raven closed her eyes trying to calm down. She took a deep breath and then she opened them and shook her head. "You didn't need to know that. I'm sorry I said anything about it. It was a mistake, a brief moment of weakness and I shouldn't have said anything to you. Why would you care about a mare like me. I'm just a pet to you anyways right?" She sighed seeming to harden her emotions and heart a little bit. She swished her tail slightly harder than normal in nervousness and frustration with herself unaware that a soft 'scent' filled the air around her. So faint that it was almost not there. Besides, he had been right anyways. "You were right." She said simply. Her blue orbs still wet with tears but seemed more empty.

The stallion watched as she tensed up with saddness, maybe he had been too harsh with his words, red hues peeled away from her, audits softly pinned in disappointment with himself, he let out a sigh "I'm not always right" as he glanced back to watching her tears roll slowly off her frame, he went to extend his muzzle to wipe them away but tucked his frame back in quickly, hooves softly figitting as he adjusted his stance more relax. Nostrils flared softly, "Someone will want you, you just have to find him first, love isn't easy.. believe me.. sometimes it's not even worth it.." his tone dropping a bit more sad. Clearing his throat with a shake of his frame to rid of the past thoughts in his mind "I didn't mean pet as in a bad way.. I'm sorry. I was too harsh on my opinion, it's just you never know what you got until it's gone" he nickered sweetly.

He hated she felt this away about herself, she was so pretty, he knew it, but he didn't know how to show her. A gust of ocean breeze danced between them, a faint scent of sweet tickled his frame, taking it in, his nostrils flared, he knew what that meant. Lifting his frame, he look around and gritted his teeth tight to hold himself strong before he spoke once more "Come on, let's go check out the water" as he turned walking through the sand towards the water as he gave her slight smile.

Raven looked up at him gently and settled down a little. Seeing him reach out for her to help calm her but pulled away again she wondered what that had been about but left it be. She nodded listening to his apology and as he explained she smiled a little. "It's okay." She said. "I understand." She whispered. Her blue orbs seemed to brighten a little again as he helped her feel better about the situation. "Id love to." She said following him. One thing that had bothered her though was his comment about love. Had he been in love before? What had happened. She wanted to ask but she wasn't sure now was a good time. So she left it alone. She quietly came up beside him watching as the sun had started setting and the horizon began to colour with beautiful pinks and oranges. "This is so beautiful." She nickered gently. She watched the sun beginning to dip down beyond the water. "Thank you for bringing me here with you." She said.

Upon reaching the waters, it was getting dark, a beautiful sunset over took the sky, he didn't know why but they always made him feel happy. Audits softly perked in the awe of the beauty. Stepping more into the waters, the cool waves softly crashed against his knees, nostrils flaring taking in the strong scent of the salty water, a gentle breeze blowing his mane against his thick neck, red hues glanced over the bright blue waters, the water was mostly clear and such a pretty blue, you could even see the shells floating against the sand with each current that come in and waded back out. He didn't know the beach could be so beautiful though, he could do without the sand.

Lost in his thoughts, an audit flicked towards the mare that had come up to his side, "You're welcome" he nickered softly. He stared at her for a moment, watching as her lush mane blew in the wind, her forelock dancing over her freckled frame, her blues eyes shinning bright as the sunset overtook over her in the background. He softly smirked at the sight before feeling something graps his back leg. Freaking out as a loud bellow escaped his frame, his back legs thrashed in the air kicking up water as the culprit of seaweed was seen clining to his leg. Snorting loudly with pin ears, he took off in a flee a few paces away, shaking his hind leg weirdly in frustration as the seaweed soon fell from his leg onto the sand. Audits pinned at the slimy peice of "grass", letting out a squeal of anger, he pawed it until the golden sands drowned it until his heart was content, lowering his frame, he snorted at the sand once more, his body tensing yet he was satisfied.

Red hues soon glanced towards the mare that was watching his freak out, he soon stood tall, and shook his body as if nothing happened, a bit of red flushed to his frame "Sorry... dam slimy stuff" he nickered with a short chuckle of embarssment.

The frame mare watched with him as the sun set. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. But the best part in that moment was she had someone there with her who she was starting to really feel comfortable around. She trusted him. They had had a rocky start but she was beginging to trust him more every moment. She closed her eyes enjoying the soft crashing of the waves on the beach around them. The sound was so relaxing and she felt at home here. She looked up suddenly hearing the squealing beside her. Her blue orbs glancing at him and she turned around to look at him with horror, until she noticed what had happened. Her blue orbs sparkling with amusement. She giggled softly watching him and walked over to him. "It's okay. I thought some creature got you for a second." She nickered gently. "You alright?" She asked reaching out to him. She flicked her tail gently, her scent slightly stronger carrying off into the breeze around them. She sniffed a little. "What's that?" She asked curiously. She turned and looked around them unsure of what it was. Her blue orbs looking at him confused.

The stallion rolled his hues at her playfully, her giggle rang in his ears ever so sweetly. "Yes, well I thought I was getting attacked too" he snorted with a smile. He was a bit embarssed he normally didn't let things spook him so easily, epspecailly not in front of a mare. He had to admit, he was getting used to her being around, every day he grew more relaxed in her presence. He did miss having someone around deep down. Audits perked in alert at her next words, "What's what?" he nickered, with a raise brow he tilted his frame some, he was confused, lifting his frame, he turned to look to the left then the right and behind him, nothing was there, until a slighty breeze sent the sweet scent tugging at his muzzle once more.

Red hues locked to the mares orbs, "Oh" he snorted, he was shocked to see she had no clue what she was smelling, strange.. but yet he found it funny in a cute way. He chuckled amsuingly "You really don't know what that smell is?" with a small smirk tugging at the corner of his muzzle "It's you.... your umm" he looked away before glancing back to her "Heat" he snorted quietly. Shifting his weight once more on the sand.

The mare smiled softly at him. "It was kinda cute and funny the way you reacted though." She smiled softly at him and looked away a bit. The way he rolled his eyes playfully at her made her blush. She was starting to feel like a little filly with her first crush. She realized the way she was acting and shook her head a little. She felt slightly embarrassed about it and tried to hide it then.

Her audits perked up suddenly to his words and she backed up a little confused and nervous. It couldn't be. She shook her head more serious this time. She looked at him confused. "It can't be...I...I've never had that happen before. I....I'm not supposed to be able to have....." She trailed off. "No. You're lying, I've never gone into heat before...I can't..." She said saking her head and backing away again. She looked at her hind and swished her tail again. She inhaled the sweet scent and her eyes grew wide. "No....this can't be true..." She looked back at him. "I...." She stopped and started to tear up. Years ago she had accepted her fate of never being a mother. It had been hard for her because she had always wanted to be. But she finally accepted it when she accepted the fact she'd never find a herd or love. To find out she might be able to have a family was hard for her to accept. She didn't want to believe it.

The stallions hues softly lit up at the commnet of being call cute, though his playful gestures soon turned concerned. Seeing the mare react in a spooked manner caused his audits to perk, nostrils flared big seeing her freak out more and more, his hues watching as she kept backing away from him. "Raven.. it's okay.. it's okay... I won't hurt you" he nickered in a coo trying to calm the mare down before she did something stupid. He took a calm step toward her keeping his frame low. Seeing the tears in her eyes bothered him, he didn't understand why she was acting this way. Shouldn't she be happy? He remember she had mentioned before she couldn't have foals, but here clear as air, he could smell her if he was miles away.. which meant others could too.

"I'm not lying.. your in heat" he snorted once more, staying perfectly still in worry if he tried to move once more, she'd take off in a run. "It's okay, you are going to be okay" he cooed. He hadn't touched another in years and he swore to himself he never would again.. but, this was a time he felt he needed to extend his comfort to the mare before him. "Shh Shh, just breathe" he nickered sweetly, slowly reaching his muzzle out to hers, giving her the chance to return the favor if she wanted. Nostrils softly taking in her scent.
