Adele shook her head. "No. He's alright with the servants and nannies, you're not alright here." Then, a thought came to her. "Hey," she said tentatively, "What happened with your mom? You sent her to the dungeon, right?" She tried to be as kind as possible, but knew it was a soft subject. |

"Um, do you know what you're going to do with her? It's not like she can stay in the dungeon forever, and I'm sure she'll find a way to escape eventually..." Adele swallowed nervously. |

Adele nodded, looking down at her lap. She knew it was the right thing to do, but it felt wrong. Killing someone. But, she reminded herself, because of his mother's actions, many innocent citizens are warriors on both sides lost their lives. It was for the best. "Just... Let's not make it a public thing, okay?" She didn't want the night or day kingdom to be the kind that killed their prisoners in the middle of the town square. She didn't want them to kill their prisoners at all, but it was the best way to make sure the woman never terrorized anyone again. |
