Mari sat for another half hour before deciding she wanted to go to the beach. She wanted to go the day before, but they'd gotten a little bit caught up. She'd let Sage rest for a while. She picked his head before slipping off to grab a towel and waddling out. She found a nice spot in the soft sand and set her towel down before getting comfortable on it. She couldn't resist a hum a she let the warmth of the early morning sun wash over her, the world slowly waking up as she settled back down to rest.

Sage hummed lightly in response to the girls peck, rolling over to wrap his arms around the pillow and bury his face into it once she'd left in an attempt to go back to sleep. He eventually did drift off again, though when he woke up a few hours later, he lay around for a bit longer before deciding he should go get breakfast and meet Mari down at the beach. So he got up with a bit of a sigh, and padded down to the kitchen, grabbing some bits and bobs before padding out to where Mari was laying, the sides of his shirt flying around in the morning breeze. He plopped down next to her happily, setting down the basket with all the food and drinks in it between them.

Mari rested happily for a little while, a small smile on her face when she heard Sages foot steps stalking towards her. She was still just in his shirt, but it went halfway down to her knees, so she was more than comfortable. She opened her eyes after a few moments, a small growing larger by the minute. The sun was behind him, so the way his shirt was blowing in the wind and his messy hair looked from her position, was quite the sight. "Hey sexy," she teased lightly once he'd slipped down next to her, kind of eyeing the basket. "Whatya got?" She asked with a raised brow.

Sage chuckled slightly at the girl's comment, rolling his eyes slightly. "Morning," he chirped. Then he shrugged. "I dunno....a lot of random stuff I grabbed," he admitted with a chuckle. "I think there's some fruits and some nuts and some other stuff too." Then he grinned. "I brought your candies you got too," he added with a chuckle. If she liked them, then he'd bring them. Besides, they could spoil themselves at least a little bit, and having chocolate candies as part of breakfast was nice sometimes.

Mari smiled happily to him, looking more than happy with his little response to her. "Well anything is nice," she chirped, sitting up a little bit with a happy hum. She looked in the basket, grabbing a few little nuts and nibbling them. She wasn't too hungry... she supposed she wouldn't eat much if it was this warm. "Looks wonderful, thank you," she chirped to him. She looked to him after a few moments and pecked his lips. She was more than happy for the sweets, too... she'd gotten loads of them, so they could afford to munch on them and then share them with her family later on.

Sage chuckled lightly and then gave the girl a wide grin after she pecked his lips. He reached for his own handful of whatever nut and berry mixture he'd grabbed. It tasted good though, so he sort of just ate it even though he wasn't positive what it was. Oh well. "you're very welcome," he chuckled lightly, more than happy to serve the girl a bit. He'd only brought out one of the many boxes of sweets Mari had bought..a variety pack since he didn't know her favorites and that way he could try a couple different things as well. Besides, nibbling at sweets on the beach with Mari just seemed like a lovely thing to happen.

Mari smiled happily as she watched the sun move, gently flopping back on the towel with a soft sigh. This had all been wonderful... really, really wonderful. She'd enjoyed all of it. She was so proud of him for even being able to ask the queen for anything, but he'd become so much braver with people in general recently, too. God, it must have been coming to about two years she'd known him... the nine months pregnant with Silas, the two before and the child was about a year old now. It had all gone so quickly. She just wished that all of this could slow down... so that they could enjoy their time together for even longer.

Sage sort of just watched the girl flop down happily, a light chuckle rising in his throat. She looked rather cute, face light up like that as she watched the sun. He couldn't help but think about how lucky he was to have met and married her. And how very lucky they were to have Silas....and maybe another one. Another one would be nice. But for now, he was just happy to look at the girl. It was just so nice to just....be with her.

Mari grabbed a little orange sweet fro him, a happy smile crossing her face as she leaned over him and held it in front of him. "Try this one," she told him with a happy grin. He wasn't really getting a choice. She grabbed some more little bits and things in her hand, just resting happily as she chewed on him. The sea was so gorgeous in the light... it looked like something straight out of a novel or something. It was absolutely wonderful. She turned to Sage again, moving to ruffle his hair. "I don't wanna go back," she told him with a laugh.

Sage chuckled lightly when the girl held the sweet in front of him, leaning forward to take the sweet out of the girls grip with his mouth, eyes glittering happily. He gave her a thumbs up after...it was rather delicious. He watched her as she munched on some more sweets happily, before looking back over the ocean, only to look back at her when she ruffled his already quite messy hair with a chuckle. "me either," he laughed, leaning forward to peck her lips. "But Silas and our families are waiting for us to get back."
