Mark looked at him oddly after a moment or two before chuckling. "How was it work... I think I'm pretty accommodating," she huffed to him before rolling over onto her side to look at him once she'd flopped off him. "Yeah, you have it pretty great, Sage. You have meee," she giggled teasingly before moving to peck his cheek, then rested her chin on his shoulder. "And Silas, and Amber and Chaos, and little Mystery for the time being- oh, and let's not forget Atticus," she chirped to him with a bit of a laugh. They did have a good life... with more than they could ever imagine. More than either of them had grown up with... and they were both safe, happy, so everything was perfect between them. She then wrinkled her nose at him. "He would have hurt me. That man loves you so much," she mused to him happily.

Sage snorted in amusement and gave Mari a slight look of shock, though still in a teasing manner. "it was terrifying," he squeaked, batting at her lightly. "You were terrifying," he huffed. Then he gave her a grin. "Not so much anymore," he giggled. "Though I still wouldn't want to get on your bad side," he mused lightly. Then he hummed happily and nodded, thinking about everyone he'd met over the past few years. He had certainly made quite a few friends, even if half of them were animals. "I do indeed, and I'm quite glad of it," he chuckled lightly. Then he snorted and waved her comment about the doctor off. "Oh please, he absolutely adores you," he chuckled.

Mari gasped when he batted her. "You just struck me... again!"'she gasped to him, another laugh escaping her. She didn't think she was terrifying... she'd never thought Sage was. He had always been fairly... well, he was never very intimidating, at least not to her. But she was fairly loud when they'd first met, so she got on with people quite well. They never really scared her. She supposed for Sage, though it was a different story. People had only hurt him, so she took it that's what he'd been expecting from her, too. "I still don't think I was scary," she told him with a laugh. "And I don't have a bad side," she mused lightly to the boy.

Sage chuckled at the girl's dramatic gasp and then shrugged. "well it was definitely scary asking you out," he chuckled. "I had no idea what I was doing and I half expected you to turn around and strangle me or something," he noted with amusement. Then he raised an eyebrow slightly at her comment about not having a bad side. "Oh, you can be plenty scary when you get mad at someone," he mused lightly. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly. "Actually, you're a lot like your brother when you're mad. Sort of a combination between him and your mother," he added with an amused shake of his head.

Mari laughed at him before rolling her eyes. "Why would you ask if you were scared of being strangled?" She asked with a giggle, rolling her eyes in amusement. "Seems like a silly idea, hm?" She mused to him. She was certainly happy about it, though... things had turned out perfectly. "Just be glad things went the way we wanted them to," she chuckled happily to the boy. She then wrinkled her nose at him. "When have so ever been scary? And how dare you compare me to Anthony!" She yelped to the boy with a bit of a chuckle.

Sage chuckled lightly at her first comment and shrugged. "The pros seemed to outweigh the cons," he mused lightly. "And they certainly did," he chirped, sticking his face close enough to hers so their noses touched, grinning over at her happily. "Just be glad I decided to suck it up and ask you out in the first place," he teased lightly. Then he rolled his eyes and chuckled. "well, you haven't been mad at me, I suppose, but you're not all peachy to everyone all the time," he chuckled. "You definitely have that mom glare down," he added, really just teasing but it was true...if looks could kill the girl could throw a lethal one. "And you and Anthony stand the same way when youre mad or annoyed or weary of something. It's amusing really," he chuckled. Edited at May 30, 2023 10:35 AM by NightClan

Mari giggled when he pressed his nose to hers, and moved a tiny bit to rest her forehead against his. "Did they really, though?" She asked with a bit of a smile, her eyes bright. She then pouted. "Oh, so I should be grateful," she mused lightly to the boy. And, well, although it was a joke, she really was grateful for him. He ment the absolute world to her, that was for sure and certain. "I'm peachy to everyone!" She retorted to the boy with a bit of a laugh. "At least I'm better than you about it," she giggled lightly to him. She then gasped. "Mom glare?!" She asked with laugh. "That makes me sound old. Who have I been glaring at?" She asked with a bit of a chuckle. " And I haven't a clue how we stand the same, Anthony and I," she mused to him with a laugh. Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "Well, if you did strangle me I probably wouldn't have cared all too much," he admitted. "Though I'm not sure I can see you just saying no either," he admitted with a slight chuckle. Then he snorted lightly and shook his head. "You most certainly are not," he laughed. "I've seen the looks you've given to the occasional person," he teased her lightly. Though, she was right that she was better than him with people. Then he chuckled lightly when she said it made her sound old and nibbled his head up and down. "You do! Your chins go up and your eyebrows pinch together and your eyes narrow and you two look down your nose the exact same way," he laughed.

Mari rolled her eyes at him with a bit of a laugh. "Hm, you'd probably like that, wouldn't you Sage," she teased lightly to him before shaking her head. She cocked her head at his next comment. "You're right. No one would ever say no to you," she giggled lightly to him. "If they did you'd break down orrr the doctor would hurt me in my sleep," she then told him with a slight chuckle. She hummed curiously at hill. "But you say it like I am! 'Mom glare' how come you don't have a dad glare?" She asked in complaint to him. "Maybe you should work on yours," she huffed to him. She then gave the exact that he'd just described to her. "Right, I'm not talking to you, you've lost your sexy morning voice and now you're comparing me to my brother," she huffed to the boy.

Sage chuckled lightly and then shook his head in amusement. "He might murder them in their sleep ...not you though, he likes you too much. He'd scold your ears off though," he chuckled lightly. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly. "Because my child is lovely and I have no need for it yet. Plus, my own dad sucked," he snorted, amusement still glittering in his eyes. Then he pointed at Mari, a wide grin spreading across his face. "See? You're doing it now," he practically cackled before giving her a fake pout. "I'm always sexy," he huffed. "And you just loooove me," he sang, wrapping his arms around her tightly with a giggle.
