Mari giggled lightly to him before shaking her head. She could notice his more daring look in his eyes, and it did absolutely made her eyes light up. "It's too hot," she complained to him with a bit of a giggle, but wrapped up around him anyway. "I can't do anything like this," she complained to him lightly. She was too tucked up to actually move, but it was amusing anyway. This was the last full day they had left, and she was fully intending to make the most out of it. They could afford to do that.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comment, pressing a quick peck to her lips in an amused manner before releasing the bundle she was in and flopping over onto his back with a slight sigh. It was more just a sigh of relaxation, if anything....he was pretty content as of right then, even if he was in a rather playful mood. "You're lucky I love you so much," he teased the girl lightly, flashing her a quick grin as she unrolled herself.

Mari hummed happily to the boy when he went to kiss her, a soft smile across her face as she did so, then started to unroll herself for him. She took his heavy breath as a good thing, and turned to wrap herself around him happily. "I am very lucky," she babbled childishly to him. "But so are you... to have me... because I'd do absolutely anything for you," she told him with a small chuckle, then pecked his side again.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comment, wrapping an arm around her happily. He hummed in agreement to her, and then turned his head to look at her with a grin. "Anything," he giggled playfully. Then he hummed in slight thought before resting his head on her shoulder. "I know I am," he giggled lightly. "I'm the luckiest man alive when it comes to you and Silas," he chirped. He really was ....she was one of a kind, Mari. She'd helped him in ways he couldn't have even imagined, and more. It was crazy to think that he'd had a child, had gotten married, and had the rest of a family. Really, it was all because of her. She'd saved him, in more ways than one...and he really was just so thankful for her, and everything she brought with her.

Mari nodded happily to him, moving to peck his lips once more with a teasing grin. "Anything," she repeated with a bit of a laugh. She curled around him a little bit tighter before sighing softly. "You're the luckiest man alive anyway... we've got it pretty good at the moment, no?" She asked with a bit of a smile. She was meant it, too... they were so so, so lucky to have eachorher. To still love eachorher, despite everything. They'd been through so much in their short time together, and while not all of it was good, it certainly wasn't bad. She loved everything that had happened.

Sage chuckled lightly and then hummed in agreement, wrapping his arm a bit tighter around the girl when she curled up against his side. "My luck has definitely improved in the last few years," he mused lightly. Meeting Mari, having Silas, marrying the woman he loved....all of it was just so, so good. There had been a lot of trials, too, and no doubt there would be more all in due time. But they'd manage. They'd survive. And they'd do it in their own little cottage, near their families and friends. And he was certainly glad at how everything had turned out. He was glad that the risk he took when he let himself get to know Mari worked out, and that he'd learned to love again. To let himself live again. That may have been the best things Mari had given him....she'd given him hope. Something precious to keep on fighting for. And that somehow made the fight seem so much less tiring. less difficult.

Mari smiled lightly, a slight chuckle escaping her as he went to wrap himself around her once more, she went to peck his neck and rested her head further onto his chest. "I d like to think so," she prompted to him before shaking her head once more. "I'd like to think that you've been happier these last few years, too... right?" She asked quietly, a heavy breath of air escaping her once more as she relaxed for a moment. She'd certainly had been happier... ever since she'd met Sage, actually. Even if they hadn't gotten along at first, she was just so... happy. She hoped it would stay that way... and even though she was nervous that she wouldn't be able to get pregnant, she hoped Sage would stay happy too. He deserved to be the happiest person she knew of.

Sage let out a tiny giggle when the girl pecked his neck, a soft smile forming on his face as she cuddle up into him again. He hummed lightly in response to her question and nodded. He supposed he had been happier. "I've been happy," he assured her softly, sort of just reflecting on the past ....ever, really. And he did hope it all stayed that way. He was happy, most of the time, and it was definitely nice. "It makes the bad days....less bad," he added on, still in a sort of reflecting tone. But even if Mari didn't get pregnant again, they'd both still be happy. They had Silas, and he was a miracle.

Mari couldn't help her stupid grin when the boy let out his giggle. Man, she'd never get used to that. She'd come to absolutely adore it, but it was always going to be amusing to hear a pretty big guy giggling like a little girl. She nodded gently to him, glad to hear it... she just wanted him to be happy. She wanted him to enjoy his life, because she knew there wouldn't be much longer of it... she hated to admit that, but it was true, to some extent. Sage wouldn't live as long as most people would... she wouldn't either, but it was different for her. She hadn't been beaten, for forced to work rooms in the tavern, or anything like that... Sage absolutely had. He had a good few years left, though and they were going to make the absolute best of it. "Good," she whispered softly to him, gently sliding a hand up under his shirt before sighing and giving a small smile. "Well... those less bad days must be a blessing."

Sage hummed gently in response to her girl's comment, turning to snuggle in and wrap his other arm around her when she slipped her hands under his shirt. He'd come to love the little touch...it meant she was happy and comfortable, and he always felt so loved when she did it. Like she couldn't rest without him. Like she needed him. And that was always nice to feel...the feeling like he was wanted and needed was nice. Really, there was nothing like it. Then he chuckled and nodded lightly. "They absolutely are," he hummed. "You help more than you know."
