Mari smiled when he snuggled in a bit more, a happy smile across her face. "Sage, let me get changed and we can cuddle," she told him quest before going to press a kiss to his chin. She loved moments like this... quiet ones, when they could just relax and be comfortable with in another. Safe. "You help me, too," she whispered softly before going to it peck his lips and curling up tighter into him. "We're good for each other," she murmured. She was better when she was with him... and thank god she'd found him because of that.

Sage hummed lightly, squeezing the girl lightly before releasing her and flopping over onto his back with another content sigh. He smiled softly when she said he helped her too ....good, he wanted to help her. To be needed and wanted. "we help each other," he chirped in agreement, pecking her on the lips lightly before chuckling. "Now go out some clothes on before I get too excited and take the apron off too," he joked lightly.

Mari smiled slightly to him, nodding lightly to the boy. "We need eachother, I think," she giggled lightly, a small smile across her face still. She giggled at his comment, but nodded and slipped out of bed, "not that I'd mind that or anything," she teased to him, then shook her head softly, going to slip into some more comfortable clothes. She then crawled back into bed and curled up into him, her hand instantly under his shirts and legs tightly around his side as she tried to get him to wrap around her once more.

Sage hummed lightly and then nodded with a chuckle. "Later," he chuckled lightly. "You can't wear an apron alone for that long and not expect some fun later," he mused in a rather amused tone of voice. He turned to wrap his arms around her again once she attached herself to him, a happy hum rising in his throat. He did like to cuddle up....and while he wanted to make the most out of their last night alone together, he did enjoy the cuddling, a lot, and was more than content to cuddle for a while. This was the good stuff anyway. Not that their fun wasn't good....but this was special. All the little pecks and touches and everything....it was all just so nice.

Mari chuckled lightly to him and nodded in agreement. She was just teasing, and she wouldn't care if nothing happened, either. She knew it was the last night, and but she was still just happy to spend time with him. He meant the world to her. She could just sit in his presence for hours and she wouldn't be bored of it... she needed him here. "I just want to cuddle now," she huffed, moving to wrap herself tighter around him. She'd moved her head so that it was tucked up into his chin, so she couldn't actually move from her... like at all.

Sage chuckled lightly when the girl wrapped herself around him and made a move to peck the top of her head lightly, though that was rather difficult, given how tightly she was wrapped around him. It was all very amusing, really, and he hummed in response to her comment. It was a sort of happy hum....sort of saying he was perfectly fine with just cuddling up for a while. He closed his eyes too, and just buried his nose in her hair, letting her scent wash around him. It was just... comforting. Safe. And he did absolutely love times like this, when they could just cuddle up and relax together.

Mari let a soft smile cross her face when he pecked her head, moving to peck the base of his chin before curling in a bit more. The hand that she'd tucked up his shirt moved softly around a bit more as she let out a relaxed sigh, more than happy to just sit. She was sad that this week and a bit was coming to an end... but she was glad that they'd gotten it. Just time to be husband and wife for a little while, to love one another and relax without any interruptions. But, she was also glad to be getting back to their son. Gosh, he was about a year or so old now... it had all gone so fast.

Sage was more than happy to just rest with Mari. He ended up closing his eyes...not sleeping, but just resting and letting the girls scent and warmth and touch be the only thing he could sense for a while. His brain eventually wandered to Silas, though...he found it rather striking how close their birthdays were. Within a few weeks of eachother, really. Perhaps even less than that, but math was hard so he chose to skip that part of it all. He did want to do something nice for the boy, even if he didn't remember any of it. That led him to wondering about how his own birthday would go...last time Mari had still been bed ridden, and while he didn't need anything but the girl at his side, he had a feeling she'd want to do something for him too, and he did wonder what. He had to admit, he was curious and more than a little bit excited to see what she had planned.

Mari rested a little while before shifting once more to get comfortable... she was basically sat on him like a frog with her arms and legs wrapped tightly around him, her head in his shoulder tightly. She was, of course excited to see everyone. The doctor, her mother, Anthony, Xander and baby Silas. She was also excited to see little Amber... she did love the little animal, and how much she helped Sage when she didn't know how. And, surprisingly, the horses... Sage had helped her get better with them, and while she was still occasionally nervous of them, she didn't exactly hate them.

Sage couldn't help but chuckle slightly when the girl tightened her hold on him. He tightened his own hold, shifting slightly so he could bury his nose in her hair a bit more. She did smell nice ...and she was warm and he did feel comfortable with her slight weight resting on top of him. He would miss this place ...miss it being just the two of them. But he did want to go back. They had a whole other life at the castle, and hopefully they could get a house soon enough, and then they could have some more alone time. But he was ready to go back to their families and friends....he did miss them.
