Mari was admittedly very pleased when she tasted the food... it was really very good. She made it known to him how nice it was, too. She found she did this a lot... really praised him for every little thing. She supposed she just hadn't lost that from working in the ward with him, and she didn't mind it. It just meant that she got to see his face light up when she did. "I'm sure she was very grateful, Sage," she chirped before giving a happy smile to the boy. When he gave her his hands, she took them happily before rolling her eyes. "Fine, fine," she huffed to the boy with a bit of a laugh. She really was just so... happy to be back. And she did need to get back to Silas now. "You know, you're not meant to call your wife a mutant zombie that just crawled out of the lake," she teased as they got back to the room, Mari going to make sure their baby was all settled before flopping down in bed, holding her hands out for Sage to come and cuddle in.

Sage chuckled lightly when the girl happily accepted the idea of going to bed, and then snorted out a laugh at her second comment. "Well, since you're my wife I can say you look awful and should go to bed," he chirped, pecking her on the cheek before making everything was done that needed to be done. He waddled over happily when he saw her hands out, though....he was always more than happy to cuddle, and she knew that. He wrapped his arms around her happily, burying his face in her chest, as he usually did. He let out a happy huff of air as he cuddled in, into a position they could easily sleep in. He made sure the girl was settled before closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep. He was rather tired, so he fell asleep rather quickly.

Mari rolled her eyes at him. "I don't think you get to say that," she huffed to him, though smiled when he fell into her arms, and she wrapped her arms tightly around him. She pressed a light kiss to his forehead before sighing and getting comfortable next to him. "Sleep does sound good, though," she sighed quietly to the boy before shaking her head again. She finally drifted off to sleep, a bit of a sigh escaping her as her whole body relaxed... Silas was sleeping through the night now, so they actually got a very good nights sleep, despite being back in their little room.

Sage hummed lightly in response to the girls comments, though by then he was already half asleep, so it was more of a I-heard-you-talking-so-ill-acknowledge-you-but-i-really-didnt-comprehend-anything sort of grunt than anything else. It was nice to be back in their room....it was their home as of then, and with that came a certain relaxation and comfort. And it did help that Silas was sleeping through the night. Man, he'd be a year old soon. Where had the time gone? But sage was sleeping by the time he'd thought of all that, and then it all sort of just drifted away. It was a nice sleep too... comfortable, with no interruptions from anything or anyone. It was definitely nice to be back. But....he did want to get a house and some land for them. And soon.

Mari woke up early the next morning to Silas's quiet cooing, and she did feel a lot better than she had the day prior. She'd gotten some apple sauce to treat the boy for breakfast, and she was soon off to work... but not before getting some more news papers with houses in them. She was back at about five in the eventing, and went to meet Sage down the yard, a red circle around one of the houses in the paper. Sage was finished up now, so she smiled lightly. "Hey babe," she chirped as she wandered over to him. She pretty much shoved the paper in his face. "I was wanting to go see this at some point... tomorrow, perhaps. What do you think?" She asked with a happy grin.

Sage was rather surprised to see Mari down at the yard, though she didn't give him much time to process what she was doing there before she shoved the paper in his face. He set down one of the water buckets he was carrying and reached for the paper, moving it back to where he could actually see what she was talking about. He scanned the paper for a moment before nodding happily. "That works for me," he chirped lightly. Tomorrow was fine, then it was his birthday, and then in around a week was silas's birthday. Maybe they could have a house found by then. It was good to have a goal in mind, at least. "It looks like a nice cozy thing," he mused looking at the picture. It had lots of land, too, so he could keep horses there too. But then again, so did most of the homes they were looking at. He glanced at the sun and hummed lightly. "I'm done here....we could always stop by tonight if you were really eager," he mused. He handed her the paper back and grabbed the bucket again. "Let me fill up this last trough and then we can go do whatever you'd like," he hummed, wandering away again.

Maris eyes lit up when the boy told her they could even go see it tonight... they'd have to be let in, but she could absolutely find someone to do that. "Really?" She asked happily. She went to peck his lips once he gave her the paper back, just before he grabbed the bucket. "I'll go sort it all out now," she told him happily. She trotted off to their room, only to find Silas sat up in his crib and playing with the bars. "Wanna come see a house?" She asked in a babyish voice, but when he cooed with a giggle and grinned and picked the baby up... she wasn't sure he'd long he'd been out over the last few days, so he could use a bit of fresh air. After a bit, she trotted back out to the barns with a snak for Sage and the child resting in her arms as he looked about with wide eyes.

Sage gave Mari a grin and chuckled when she pecked his lips and bounced off excitedly. He finished dumping the water in the trough he was heading for, and then put the stuff away, before deciding to go just hop on chaos while he waited for Mari. He clipped the horses halter and lead rope on, and let him out of his paddock and into the field full of long grass. He lay down with his head resting on the horses rump, draping the lead rope over his neck like he normally did and let out a content sigh. When he heard Mari coming towards him, he grinned at her and then sat up, nudging chaos towards the two of them. He chirped a hello to Silas, and chaos sniffed the baby, resulting in peals of laughter as Silas wrapped his arms around the stallions muzzle. Sage felt his grin widen quite a bit at the sight....it was sweet.

Mari was certainly glad she'd gotten better around the horses... she wasn't as nervous about them. At least, she wasn't too scared to let Chaos sniff about with hr baby. And, she knew Sage liked to see his son with his favourite horse. It was a cute sight, she could agree with that. "Ready to go?" She asked with a bit of a bounce. If things went well, and they liked the place, they could have possession of the place by the end of the week, then start moving in... hopefully. If it had enough space for Sage and his horsey thing.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded response to Maris comment. "I'll put this guy back in his own and then we can head out," he chirped, tugging on the lead rope so chaos lifted his nose from Silas and wandered around back into his paddock happily. He hopped off and released the horse, who galloped off happily. He hung the halter and lead rope on its place on the fence post and then took Maris hand happily. "Let's go, then," he chirped excitedly. They walked down to the place, and as soon as he saw it, he was definitely interested. "It looks nice," he hummed. "let's go inside," he hummed lightly, rather excited about it. It looked like a nice house, and somewhat close to the ocean too, given the area. Close to the town, but still out in the country enough. He led the girl into the house happily, looking around, eyes wide and curious. Admittedly, he looked a lot like Silas did when he was curious. It was a nice house though, and if they bought it, he'd be very, very happy about it.
