Mari looked thoughtful for a moment or two before shrugging. "At the house... where we staying, on the floor?" She asked with an amused laugh. She didn't mind what they decided... she was more than happy to do than anything. The doctor said they could leave Silas with him as long as they needed, and he knew his routine anyway. She looked over at him with a smile before following him along happily. They soon got seated, and the place was very, very nice. They were handed menus and had soon ordered.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "We could camp out somewhere. Bring some blankets and stuff and go wherever," he giggled lightly. Outside, inside ...any room....he didn't really care, as long as he was with her, and he figured she knew it. He followed her down to their seat in the restaurant happily, looking around with wide eyes as he took in everything around him. Once he got the menu, though, food became top priority, and he scanned the menu before deciding that a good old steak with some veggies on the side would suffice just fine. He sort of leaned against Mari happily while they waited for their food, really quite content just to be here with the girl. She really was spoiling him quite a bit...he'd have to make sure her birthday was just as good as this. It was in a few months....maybe he could have the house finished by then for her. Surprise her with finished decorations and whatnot. That would be nice.

Mari smiled when she felt him lean against her, and kind of moved to wrap an arm around his side. Well, sort of, just not enough to make it look like she was properly cuddling up to him. "It'd be pretty cool 'camping in an empty house, don't you think?" She asked with a bit of a chuckle. "I dumped an old tent in the bathroom while trying to start moving things over... it'd be fun to camp in a tent in the living room, no?" She chuckled lightly to the boy before shaking her head. She ordered some lasagna, and soon enough their food had arrived, and she moved quickly to start eating her food... which was really quite nice.

Sage glanced over at the girl with a grin when she mentioned the tent, and camping out in the living room, nodding happily. "that sounds fun," he chirped. "there's some blankets in there somewhere too, so it would be comfortable enough," he mused lightly. By then their food arrived and they dug in happily, and sage couldn't help but order a small dessert for them once their main meal had been finished. It was a small chocolate cake, with rather delicious frosting on it and a sort of chocolate sauce in the middle. That was fine rather quickly, and they had paid soon enough. "you still want a drink before we crash," he asked her with a cocked head. He didn't mind either way ...the day had been wonderful.

Mari grinned happily to him... she really did hope he'd enjoy it. She wanted him to enjoy his first proper birthday. He was as old as her, and he'd never even had one birthday where nothing had gone wrong... and she didn't want it to be a day he was going to dread. He needed to enjoy himself. "Yeah, we can do!" She chirped happily. She enjoyed her dinner... it was really wonderful. She knew that they'd been on their honeymoon not too long ago, and they should probably feel guilty about treating themselves to so much, but they might as well, right? While they were still young and... like... alive. She cocked her head at him after a moment or two. "Where'd you wanna go? The tavern?"

Sage grinned over at her happily before cocking his head and humming in thought. "Wherever," he mused lightly. "That's fine with me," he hummed in response to her questions. He really didn't mind where they went, as long as she was with him. They wandered down to the tavern soon enough, and he filled them up a drink of choice for each of them. They then found a nice table outside and sat down to drink their....drinks. it was nice out, the sun was setting, the love of his life was right next to him....it was all lovely, really.

Mari smiled softly to the boy and padded along next to him. Once they'd gotten their drinks, she plopped down on the chair next to him, kind of just gazing out into the street... it was quiet for once. The tavern wasn't too busy, the only people really there were the usual tavern goers... the yellow laps surrounding the street they were sat on made the place dimly lit, and it really was gorgeous. She leaned into Sage after a moment, and kind of looked over to him with a gentle smile. "Have you had a good day, hun?" She asked hesitantly... she wished she could do more for him... but for now, this was all she could do.

Sage was more than happy to just sit there and wrap his arms around Mari happily. He glanced over at her when she asked him the question, and hummed lightly, nodding in the affirmative. He leaned over to press a light kiss to the girls lips before pulling back after a moment and pecking her on the nose softly. "I've had a lovely day," he hummed happily. "though, it's not quite over yet," he added with a slightly amused chuckle. They still had their night...and he was fully intending to take advantage of it.

Mari smiled softly to the boy before kissing him back gently. She was certainly happy he'd enjoyed himself. She wasn't very good at birthdays... she tried her hardest, and she loved seeing people happy during them, but she knew it wasn't always possible. But she'd tried her very hardest to make the day nice for Sage. She loved seeing him happy... she was still in awe of the fact he still had the ability to be happy. She smiled softly to the boy before pecking his cheek once more. "I'm glad," she murmured gently to him. "Well, how are we gonna end it then?" She asked with a bit of a chuckle as she sipped away on her drink... it was sweet, and filled with sugar cherries, so it was pretty easy to down.

Sage hummed happily when she kissed him back, really just more than happy with how things had gone. He chuckled lightly at her comment, taking a drink before sighing softly in a rather content manner and shrugging. "I don't know," he hummed softly. "But if it involves you, it'll be good," he mused gently before taking another drink and then resting his head on her shoulder gently. They stayed like that for a while ...just resting really. They couldn't resist ordering another drink, and he had to admit the more potent the flavors, the more delicious they were. He wasn't sure how that worked, but he wasn't going to complain. After that though, it was nearly dark, so they wandered back down to the house they were going to camp out in happily, hand in hand.
