Mari was, as usual, just sat in bed for the most of the day. She got up for a little bit, much like a zombie to get some food, but that was it. She couldn't make herself do anything more at all. It was scary. She didn't want to feel like this.. so useless, like such a burden on Sage and her family, who had been thrilled at the news. She looked after Silas, too, which made her day a little bit brighter. She sat up groggily when she saw him come in, and tried a smile but it didn't really come out amazingly. "Hey babe," she murmured as she settled back down. "Fine. I've taken my pills," she promised to him gently after a moment or two. She had taken them... not that they'd down much.

Sage hummed lightly and pecked her on the lips gently when she said hello, then nodded when she said she'd taken them. "You think you'll be up to get up and go for a picnic tomorrow," he asked. "If not that's fine....but I figured I'd ask," he said with a shrug. He pecked her forehead again once she'd respond, and then slid off the bed. "I'm going to shower, and then I'll come back," he told her, finding so not so sweaty clothes and sliding into the bathroom.

Mari smiled at the little peck. She had been feeling awful recently, so the little bit of love was really appreciated. "I'll see? Maybe," she murmured softly to him. She hoped she'd feel well enough... she wanted to go out with their her husband for once. When the boy slipped back into bed with her, she smiled and turned to curl up with him. She'd definitely been more cuddly recently. She couldn't help it really, she enjoyed being around him. Admittedly, there was a small baby bump in her way from getting any closer. She groaned and curled into him the best she could, her brows slightly furrowed as she turned into him.

Sage nodded at her comment and pecked her head again before heading over to hop in the shower and clean off quickly. He dried off and got dressed quickly, and made sure Silas was settled down in his crib before sliding in next to his wife. He smiled softly when she curled up into him, and wrapped his arms around her happily, resting his head where his face was resting against her hair. He liked that...he could smell her, and she was warm and comfy. He made sure to wake up early the next morning, so he could slip away to the kitchen and make her a pancake and some fruit....things she'd liked while pregnant within the past few days. He came back to the room and set the food down, to let her sleep while he took care of Silas, who's woken up. When he saw her start to stir, he set Silas down and ambled over with a smile, setting the tray in her lap and pecking tiny kisses all over her face to wake her. "Happy birthday babe," he chirped quietly.

Mari slept through the night, a bit of a complaint escaping her when he finally left. She curled up herself, her hand wrapped around her stomach as she settled back down. Oh god... she'd have to get up at some point today, wouldn't she? Ugh, whatever. Everything was worse when she was up... but Sage wanted her up, so she could try a little bit, she supposed. When she felt a slight dip in the bed, though, she slowly woke up a little more and gave a happy smile. "Hey hun," she murmured quietly as she pressed a light kiss to his lips. "It's by birthday already?" She asked with a small chuckle... she thought she had a good few months left at least.

Sage smiled softly and chuckled when she asked if it was her birthday already. "Last time I checked, it is," he laughed softly. "I made pancakes since you've seemed to be able to handle it ok," he hummed, setting the tray down in her lap and moving to pick up Silas and sit down next to her. "You can open presents in bed if you'd like, so we don't have to go anywhere," he hummed. "There's a surprise at the house, but I don't want to strain you," he chirped. He was fed exited to give the girl her presents...they were all handmade, except for a new dress he'd bought, as per the usual, and they'd taken all these months to make and perfect. He'd put a lot of work into the house too, working hours each day to get it finished, but he'd rather her feel better and they could go later, if that's what she prefered.

Mari gave him a thankful look when the boy pointed at the breakfast... she had been struggling to eat recently, so it was nice to have something she could swallow for once. She smiled and nodded gently. "We can go over once we've done this... then I can go back to sleeping for once," she mused lightly. Well, 'for once' was a bit of a stretch... she'd been sleeping nonstop the last few months. She just couldn't create the energy to want to get up. She gently pulled him in to peck his lips again. "You didn't need to get me anything," she then told him with a small smile.

Sage felt a grin stretch over his face when she agreed to go down to the house and pecked her cheek excitedly. "Good," he chirped happily. He chuckled at her comment though, more than happy to let her sleep. He snorted at her last comment and nodded. "Yes I do," he huffed. "You spoiled me so now I get to spoil you," he chirped. He curled up next to her while she ate, and then went to drag the bag full of presents and handed each one to her. He'd gotten her a pretty purple dress, one he knew she'd like and look good in. He'd also made her a set of pearl earrings and necklace from oysters he'd gotten cheap from the shop at the vacation home. He'd made some bracelets too, and had also made her a book sort of like what he'd done for Anya...but this one was their adventures together. From the first time he'd seen her, and every nice bit of steps in their life together ....first date, shopping together, meeting her family, wedding, honeymoon, and everything in between. The last page was of them putting a sigh up on their finished house with their last name on it. That hadn't happened yet...but that was where they were heading next. Hed explain that once she got there though.

Mari cocked her head at him with a bit of a smile... more genuine one compared to the ones that had crossed her face over the last few weeks. "You didn't need to do that, though. I spoil you because you deserve it," she chuckled lightly to him. She looked at the bag with furrowed eyes. We're her gifts in there? How many were there? She didn't want him to spend any money on her. Now when they should be saving for a child, especially now. Mari furrowed her brows after a moment or two before shrugging as he started handing the gifts to her. She couldn't help her smile when he gave them the pearls before setting them aside. "They're gorgeous, Sage," she told him with a grin. She looked at the purple fabric for a moment before unfolding it and looking up and down with a cocked head. "I'm not sure this is gonna fit me right now," she laughed lightly before shaking her head. It was very, very pretty though. She looked curious when the boy gave her the book though, and started to flip through it, her eyes lighting up as she flicked through the memories. The last one made her grin happily, though. "It's all wonderful, Sage, thank you," she chirped happily. "But the last one hasn't happened yet," she chirped with a bit of s chuckle.

Sage snorted lightly at her first comment and shrugged. "you deserve it too," he hummed, practically shoving the first few gifts at her. He felt really quite satisfied with himself as he watched her face light up as she opened the presents and look through them all, and then flip through the booklet happily. He grinned excitedly at her last comment and nodded. "That's your last present," he chirped holding up the sign he had drawn in the picture. "I finished decorating the house...I'd stop by while you thought I was still at the barn each night after I worked with the horses," he hummed. "This was the last piece....but I wanted to put the last bit of the house on together," he told her happily. He had spend so much time over there making things ...the bathrooms he'd set up with various cute signs and flowers, and Silas had some toys and a play pen where he could see out the door but have his bedroom as a okay room, and he'd set up a bedroom for the other baby too. Their bedroom had added vases with the long flowy looking plants...the gold went perfect with the large painting of the barn he'd done before. He'd fixed the dressers and headboard and closet up nice with blankets that matched the paint, which was a sort of light blue. He'd made a lantern out of seashells and starfish he'd found at the beach on their honeymoon, and set that on the dresser along with some other bits and bobs. The living room he'd set up neat with pillows that matched the minty green paint, and had put some stones and covered them in resin for a pretty table. The kitchen was a similar color, and he'd out tiles above the oven and painted on them with a cute pattern to match the walls, and had colored more tree resin white and marbled in the same color to make beautiful counter tops. He'd finished the yard with lots of trees and flowers, and bushes. The garden was planted, and he'd hung a bin outside the window so she could open it and pick herbs from it. The table and chair seats on the porch were slabs of a tree he covered in resin. It was all so wonderful, and he was very excited to show her. "There's a carriage ready outside," he chirped.
