Mari nodded gently to him with a happy smile. "Yep. So there's no chance of anything going wrong." She said firmly. Amber was still staying in the room, so they'd have to go and get her so she could get comfortable in the next few weeks. "Everyone is happy enough, I think." She hummed lightly to her mother. Anthony then looked to the two of them witha. Bit of a smile... it was clear he was more comfortable around Sage now. He trusted him a little bit more. It was just a little bit frustrating that it took a whole baby being born to make that happen.

Sage hummed happily and nodded in response to Maris comment. "Well be completely settled in here by the end of the week, so everything will be a nice relaxed transition," he informed the woman. "Nothing will be too stressful or anything, which is a benefit," he said with a bit of a shrug. He noted Anthony's smile....he'd grown fond of the older boy, just like he had with the rest of the family. It had taken them a while to warm up to eachother a bit more, but he had to admit, if it was Lizzie that was being courted by some guy, he'd find anything and everything wrong with him to make it not happen at first too. To give him credit, he'd probably handled it all better than he would have. It was an amusing thought, really.

Mari hummed softly in agreement. She couldn't do anything to stress her body out too much... and she didn't want to stress out Sage either. He had to enjoy this too. It was meant to be a fun time. A new house, a new baby, their whole family starting to connect together. She was so excited. It seemed like they all were. Maris mother hummed happily to him. "Good. Make sure to take some time to rest yourselves, though," she told the two of them with a smile. Xander was busy hiding behind his hands as he played with Silas, which was certainly sweet. Mari looked to Anthony, who was smiling happily. She still thought it was lovely that both her brother and husband were getting along well now. Hopefully they'd start to get closer.

Sage threw Mari a rather amused look at her mother's comment but nodded with a slight chuckle. "don't worry, mom, we're not pushing ourselves," he mused. The woman had become a sort of mother to him too, and he'd taken to calling her mom himself. It was just easier than always saying your mom or Maris mom. She was just...mom now. And he had to admit, it was quite nice to say. He was glad to see Xander getting along so well with Silas, too...the baby seemed to enjoy playing around with the slightly older boy, and was even babbling out random words to him as they messed around. It was certainly nice to see, and he could imagine Silas doing that to his own little brother or sister.

Mari couldn't help a bit of a chuckle when the boy called her mother Mom. She had introduced her mother as Edith ages ago... but she supposed it made sense. She was as much her mother as she was his. After a little while of chatting, though, Mari found herself trying to stifle a yawn. Her eldest brother chuckled and stopped their mother from talking. "Come on. Let's leave these two alone before your daughter passed out on us," he mused as he grabbed Xander. Edith frowned but nodded. "When you find someone and settle down, you'll get the same treatment," she warned before standing up to gave the two of them and Silas a hug goodbye and waving them off as they all filed out the house. Mari forced herself to her feet, kind of following them out next to Sage.

Sage had noticed Maris yawn and glanced over at his wife, but by then Anthony had scooped up Xander, which was admittedly rather amusing. He chuckled at his comment and stood up with a grunt in order to hug Edith and Xander goodbye, and shake Anthony's hand. They were definitely not really on hugging terms you could say....though Anthony didn't exactly strike him as the hugging type either, and he himself was admittedly a bit particular about who he allowed to hug him too. He chuckled lightly at Edith's comment as well, and then took a hold of Maris hand as they walked them out, waving goodbye until the small family set off again. He turned back around to face Mari and hummed lightly. "Why don't you go lay down," he suggested. "I'll clean up dinner and be in shortly."

Mari gave Sages had a soft squeeze as they watched the small group leave, and turned to face him with a happy smile. She nodded gently and moved to peck his lips. "Alright," she murmured softly before leaving to go get changed and showered and ready for bed. She carefully set herself down with a heavy groan as the muscles in her back finally managed to relax for what had to be the first time that day. Man, she was so tired... she'd barely done anything, either. That probably came from not doing an awful lot, and suddenly she'd walked through the village and woods and made dinner. It was about 10 o'clock now, so she was absolutely exhausted.

Sage smiled softly at her and went to clean up dinner, putting the plates and cups in the sink and rinsing them off, but not spending the time to actually clean them...it was late, and he was tired and wanted to get back to Mari and try out the new bed. He'd gotten a really comfortable mattress for it.... hopefully Mari liked it too. He slipped over to take care of Silas and put him down, making sure he was settled and pressing a kiss to his head before closing the door and hesitating outside his door for a moment to make sure he'd be alright. He'd never really slept in his own room before....and suddenly he was worried about leaving him alone all night. But he'd have to do that eventually, so sage forced himself away from silas's room and slid into the bathroom, showering quickly and then sliding into bed with Mari happily. (Feel free to skip forward too, if you want..I was gonna have sage end up sick in a few weeks or so just for some drama xD) Edited at July 7, 2023 05:43 PM by NightClan

(Yeah no worries! I was going to say we needed some drama) Mari sat quietly for a little while as she waited for Sage... this was beautiful. The whole house. Their room, even down to the lovely new mattress that had, it was all just wonderful, truely. She smiled when Sage came in, and turned to wrap around him with a happy sounding hum. "This is nice," she hummed lightly. "The bed," she added with a chuckle. It was really wonderful. This was the first time staying somewhere she really owned. That she owned with someone she lived so very much.

(Haha yea. Sage getting sick is def drama xD) Sage couldn't help the sleepy grin that formed on his face when the girl turned to wrap around him and hummed happily in response to her comment. "I'm glad you like it," he hummed. He hoped she'd enjoyed her day....they hadn't really gone out to do anything, since she was pregnant, but they still had a good time, he thought. She seemed plenty happy though, so that was good enough for him. He snuggled up as best he could despite her baby bump, and had fallen asleep rather quickly. The next few weeks passed rather quickly...they'd completely moved into the new house by then, and Mari was quite a bit larger. The past few days, he'd been more tired than usual, and admittedly a bit sore too, which was odd for him. He figured he was just a bit run down from moving everything over, and after he came back from the barn he decided to curl up and take a quick nap before dinner had to be made. He was a bit chilly, even though it was the middle of summer...but he was too tired to think much of it. He just curled up under a blanket on the couch and passed out.
