Sage had sort of just gone back to resting in his corner, though soon enough his pool echoed with footsteps and then the girl's voice. He unfolded himself from the corner and rose, grabbing the pool tool he'd been poked with and chucking it at the men, and smirked slightly when he heard a noise on their heads as it hit them. He didn't say anything, but the message was clear. If they were going to toy with him like that, then he was going to react. Just because he felt bad didn't mean he wasn't going to hurt them if they did something he didn't take too kindly to. But he did want the corpse out of the tank ....he could smell it, and it was making his stomach roll. He just really didny want to eat anything. Besides, it was a good warning to the others out there. The man had been pretty beat up....between claws and fangs and the nature of mer hunting, the man was torn open rather deeply in a couple places, head nearly severed from the force of the bite and deep claw marks elsewhere. A hand was missing and a leg was barely still attached. Maybe they'd respect him a bit more after this.

Oliver watched with a pleased look on her face, to her it was quite funny to see the men scramble to find the best tool to get the body out of the water. As soon as they got it then go near the edge of the pool there was a splash then a huge clunk as a tool came out fo the water, striking one in the head and the other on the chest. After that both of them just scurried off wanting nothing to do the the siren or the body anymore. Oliver rolled her eyes "Useless men... scared of a little fish..." She mumbled under her breathe in a frustrated tone, bending down she picked up a shepherds hook that the men had then walked to the edge of the pool. First looking down at the siren who was still in the corner but unwrapped from the ball it had made itself into. Her attention then turned to the body, admittedly it did look a little gruesome the way to had been clawed at and dismembered slightly but it really didn't faze her over all. After a moment she got closer to the edge of the pool, half of her feet off the edge as she stretched out her arm with the sheperds hook trying to grab the body, which had gone out a little out of her reach by then.

Sage kept a keen but admittedly grumpy and tired eye on the men and girl, though the girl really wasn't doing anything but laugh at the men, which he certainly didn't mind. When the men scrambled off, he couldn't help the slight smile that formed on his face, until another thin linen of blood came near him and he nearly threw up. Upon seeing that the girl couldn reach the body, he scowled and made the move to surface and shove the corpse at her, face still definitely annoyed with literally everything and anyone. "He smells awful,"he grumbled to her before disappearing under the water again. Well, not disappearing, she could probably still see him, but he was underwater again. He sort of just went back to his corner and curled up again, though he did leave his head uncovered so he could see what she was doing. There were other people coming by then too, that he could hear, so he wanted to notice if something happened. He wasn't sure what they'd do, but if their solution was bothering him more, then they could be sure there wouldn't be enough of them left to clean up the mess. After what had happened earlier, it wouldn't be hard to act defeated or even just physically weak...but he was plenty strong enough to fool the dumb ogres and then kill them. It wasn't so hard. But really, he'd rather just be left alone.

Oliver attempted many times to get the body but failed miserably, she let out a frustrated sigh when suddenly she heard somethign break the surface. She observed the siren noticing that it had come up then shoved the corpse over, at his comment she let out a soft scoff "No, really... Thanks for the information sherlock" She muttered quietly under her breathe, taking one last glance at the siren seeing it was just observing her which she really didn't care what it did at that point. As soon as the corpse was close enough she took the shepherds hook getting it all the way to the edge. When she heard footsteps coming up the stairs, her attention drew to there, seeing her father along with a few workers come up. Oliver stood up as two workers came and dragged the body out of the water and started putting it in a body bag. "This is the exact reason why we need a muzzle on that thing" Her father scowled at her since she was the one who decided to needed to stay off. "Well what else do you expect from it, to not take the oppurtunity to kill?" She asked sarcastically as she watched the men carry off the body bag.

Sage stayed still in the corner, just listening to the conversation that was going on. THe body had finally been taken out of the water, and the blood was slowly diffusing. It certainly smelled better, which was helpful for his stomach, and his head too a little bit. He supposed cleaner water was better. Actually, salt water would be best, but none of them knew that, and he wasn't exactly in a position where he could just ask for salt water. Ocean water was definitely best, but he supposed regular salt water was fine too. He hissed slightly when he noticed a few of the men gathering nets up and tensed up where he was before forcing himself to relax. He could act like he didn't know they were possibly going to try and catch him...act like he'd been caught off guard. But he was watching them keenly, a dangerous and rather grumpy and fed up look in his eyes. How hard was it for them to just leave him alone? Apparently, it was impossible for quite a few of them. And the girl was the worst of all. Though, she was trying to keep the muzzle off him, so he supposed he had to give her that. And she wasn't too loud or bothersome....so as long as she stayed quiet for the most part he honestly didn't care too much if she watched him. He didn't enjoy it, bit it wasn't bed per say either.

"It doesn't matter, if this is the way he wants to act then he needs to keep a muzzle on." Trevor, her father, spoke firmly once more before motioning men to get the nets out. Oliver gave her father a cruel look knowing that if the muzzle would be put on then it would definitely scare it's face and no one... absolutely no one would pay top dollar for a thing with scars. She soured at the thought but didn't know what else to do as they started to pull the net out and set it up. Oliver looked in the pool, watching the siren for a moment... If she could think fast then maybe she could keep this muzzle from getting on it as well as hopefully building a little trust with the siren. That would be great for her and both the creature... so it would be a win-win she supposed. After a moment she looked at her father "Well... What if it could prove that it won't... harm anyone any further" "She finally spoke up bringing her gaze to her father. "He's already proven what he could do so I don't want to take another risk" Trevor spoke firmly and calmly, in respone she nodded her head "True but obviously it had to be provoked someone... Look how close I've gotten to it without it attacking me... If people would leave it alone more than maybe it wouldn't be so quick to attack" Oliver spoke evenly and sensible... for once.. Her father gave her a blank stare before shrugging his shoulders. "Fine... but even if he does get agitated then he still has to control himself so it'll only get worse for him this next week" Her father spoke before wavign the men with the nets away.

Sage stayed silent and still in the bottom of the pool, though when the nets hit the water he tensed up, fully ready to put everything he had on the table to fight. Though, he did continue to listen to the conversation that was happening. Soon after the girl had spoken up again, the nets were pulled back up and out of the water, and he relaxed slightly in response, curling up again. Fine....if they weren't going to bother him, he wasn't going to pay them any attention. Though, he had to admit he kept wondering why the girl kept standing up for him. It didn't seem to make any sense....he obviously didn't trust her, and knew he wasn't going to trust her for a while, even if she proved to be trustworthy. Which he doubted she'd be. But it was odd how much she'd defended him. And she was the only one who'd fed him so far, which did make him wonder why she was so much more interested in him than the others. It wasn't like he was using any kind of song on her....so why? He supposed he didn't care too much after a while, though he did keep an eye on her since she'd stayed near the pool for whatever reason.

Oliver was really relieved that her father had called off the nets, she watched the men walk off with them then turned to her father. They talked for a bit longer before Trevor finally walked off to go finish business else where. Oliver turned her attention back down to the siren, seeing it was back in the corner like before. Hopefully it knew the favor she had just for it and hopefully the favor would start to build a trust between the two... Even if it was going to take awhile she was willing to make the patience in order for her plans to work. After a moment of thinking she finally snapped out of thought, walking over to the bucket of fed she brought it back to the edge so that it could eat if it wanted too. Oliver really had nothing else she wanted to do with the siren so she started to walk off

Sage hadn't paid much attention to the girl until he heard her grab the feed bucket again and come over to the edge of the pool. He sighed slightly and just curled up tighter, not really wanting to eat anything right then. She walked off after a moment, and after around half an hour or so, he did end up falling asleep again. He wasn't sure what time it was when he woke up, but someone had left a window open or something, so it was pretty chilly in the warehouse, which admittedly perked him up a bit. There was no ice in the pool, but the small amounts of water on the edge were definitely slushy...which many the water was cold. Good. It felt nice. He sort of moved to investigate it all before he smelled the shrimp. His stomach rumbled, and he decided he was hungry enough to try and eat something, so he swam over to the bucket and nibbled at some of the food in there. He finished maybe a quarter of the food in the bucket before his stomach turned again and he moved away from it. But he definitely felt better with the cool air, so he was perkier than normal as he swam around, with admittedly quite a bit of energy despite the pain he still felt.

Oliver went off in the warehouse finishing up some of her chores and jobs for the day. Around 7pm when mostly everyone besides a few workers here and there had left, she decided to do one last check on the siren.... Once again she found herself caring about it... How she even seemed to care about that thing still was a mystery to her but still she couldn't stop herself from going over. Oliver soon made her way up the steps to the concrete platform where a shiver went throug her body, it was surprisingly a lot colder up here then the rest of the warehouse but she didn't give it much thought. She quietly made her way to the feed bucket, a slight smile grew on her face seeing a bit of the feed had been eatened which was good news to her as it meant the siren was starting ti feel better. Oliver took the bucket and put it back near a table with different items on it before reutring to the pools edge. Watching the siren zip around the pool let her small smile settle on her face. It really was great to see it full of life again, after a moment though she shook the smile from her face being confused why she was smiling over the stupid thing.
