Elara had long since tried to fall asleep, noticing Sage get up and grab blankets... even though it was extremely hot outside and inside. "You alright?" She questioned, voice tired. |

Sage sort of peered out of his blanket pile groggily, but nodded. "Just cold," he noted, already half passed out. He didn't want to bother her ..it wasn't exactly her job to take care of him. Besides, he wasn't that sick...it was just a fever right? There really wasnt a way he could measure how high it was, but he suspected it was a good one, considering he crappy he felt and how quickly it had come on. |

"....Cold?" She echoed, noting how she barely even had any covers over her since she'd get too hot. Elara stood, walking silently in the darkness over to him before pressing the back of her hand to his forehead. "Sage you're burning up," Elara murmured, a tone of.... what was it, empathy somewhat? In her voice. |

Sage had barely reacted to her moving towards him and placing her hand on his head. "Like I said, cold," he mused slowly, sagging against the chair in a tired ball. "I'll be fine, don't have time to be sick. Good nights sleep and ill be golden," he added, though his voice sort of slurred towards the end. Yup, his brain was clearly shutting down. |

"You're stubborn y'know that?" She murmured, rolling her eyes lightly as she walked over to the medicine cabinet. Elara took out a bottle of fever reducer, pouring the right amount into a cup and walking back to Sage. "Either you'll drink this willingly or i'll force it down your throat, your choice." |

Sage sort of grunted in response to her comment, though he was too tired to really respond. He'd half dozed off when she spoke again, this time with a cup full of what he assumed to be medicine. "I'd like to see you try," he snorted, his more natural side of his personality coming out now that he had no filter. He took the cup after a moment though, swallowing it and immediately coughing a little bit. "God, thats foul," he grumbled, already sliding down into their chair again as his brain shut down completely. He was passed out quickly after that, now in a rather awkward position. |

Elara stayed straight faced at his comment, tipping the rest of it into his mouth once he passed out. She let out a huff, reconsidering. "Why, why me? Could've been all snug and safe in the castle with Dorian but nope, decided to go with some hobo. Great choice Elara, real great choice." She muttered, readjusting him rather easily with a surprising strength she didn't realize she still had after not hunting or managing through woods for so long. Once Sage was finally propped back upward, she went and settled back on the bed, attempting to fall asleep. |

Sage was pretty well out of it the rest of the night, only waking out of a deep sleep with a groan when Liz started crying the next morning. He felt even worse than the night before, but forced himself up to grab his daughter anyway, knowing he couldn't exactly just... Ignore her. |

Liz had awoken Elara up, the woman a bit surprised when Sage came and took her from her. She stood, taking Liz back before turning him towards the bed. "Go get some more sleep, you'll feel worse if you don't get any---besides, feels better than being awake." She murmured with a yawn, otherwise awake for the day. |

Sage sort of blinked when elara spoke, but he didn't feel good enough to argue too much, so he let her take the baby and shuffled back over towards the bed. That was normally her spot, but if she'd told him to go there he wasn't going to argue. So he just flopped down on it and curled up, drawing the blankets around him with a shiver and passing out pretty quickly again. |
