Mari smiled over at him as he sat down, her brows slightly furrowed but nothing other than that giving away her slight pain. When they were finished, she watched her husband sit in the chair across the table, forcing herself back up to grab the plates from the table, moving to gently peck the soft skin under his ear as she did so. "Go get to bed. You look exhausted," she told him gently as she waddled over to the kitchen to wash everything up.

Sage couldn't help the slight giggle that came from his throat at the girls peck, then yawned and nodded, scooping Amber up off his lap as he stood up. He wandered halfway out of the kitchen before looking back at Mari. "Why don't you come to bed too," he suggested. "Leave the dishes...they'll still be there tomorrow." She looked exhausted too, and he could help her wash in the morning. He hated to make her do everything...and an early night in their own home and bed seemed lovely. Besides, he slept better curled up with her anyway.

Mari looked over her shoulder at the boy and shook her head a little bit. "I'll be up in a bit," she promised him gently with a bit of a smile. "Take that cat and get to sleep. I won't be long, promise," she told him gently with a bit of s chuckle. She'd rather get everything done noe and not have to do it in the morning... but he was right, she looked exhausted. And she was exhausted, too. But this didn't take much time, and soon enough she was on her way up to bed, and quickly got changed before settling down on the mattress.

Sage pursed his lips but nodded and turned to waddle off to the bedroom tiredly. He crawled onto the bed and curled up with Amber, who was really quite happy to curl up under the blankets with him. He was out like a light then, and didn't even move when Mari crawled into he bed next to him. He subconsciously curled up and into her warmth with a soft huff of air, as always, but didn't wake up. Just the slight shift and scoot before settling again. It hadn't even been very long at all, and he was already out cold. That was probably a good thing, though. Amber looked over at Mari sleepily before tucking herself back up under his chin happily.

Mari smiled gently as she watched the boy settle down... he was exhausted... she knew that, and it was nice to see him relaxing a little bit. She slipped into bed behind him, getting to sleep soon enough, though not before about half an hour she of running her finger gently up and down his spine as she rested her head on his back. She curled up as small as she could, however, there wasn't really very much small about her at that moment. She fell asleep, though, kind of pushing through a slight aching in her stomach until it melted away with her sleep, of which was really quite reviving.

Sage was more than happy to sleep deeply through the night. No doubt Maris soft touch did wonders to keep him in a nice, deep sleep free of nightmares and whatever else. He woke up rather early in the morning, and took the chance to curl back up and into Mari, tugging sweet Amber along with him, before slipping back off into unconsciousness. He stayed that way for quite a while after that, really quite grateful to be back home. His old room was wonderful, yes, but this was home now, and his bed here was definitely much more comfortable than the older, smaller one in the ward. Plus, he could curl up with Amber and Mari here.

Mari smiled lightly as she slowly slipped to sleep, clearly happy enough to relax. She woke up early the next morning, though, just so exhausted. The ache in her side had her pretty much bed ridden as of then. It was about six in the morning... she was planning on getting Sage some breakfast, but she'd have to hold off on that one for a little while. She just curled into him when she felt his arms wrap around her sides... it was a nice feeling. A more than comforting one. She couldn't wait to actually get a proper cuddle from him, though. It was a bit hard to get your arms around her when she was like this.

Sage curled up against the girl a bit more when he felt her arms tighten around him. He was curled up to her as best he could, though with her belly that was admittedly a bit difficult. But it was alright, it meant he was cuddled up with the baby too, which was a nice idea. He could even feel it when it moved around sometimes, if he was up against her like this...and that was always cool. He stayed like that for a while, another couple hours really, before stirring slightly as he sort of started to wake up a little bit. He settled back down into her arms, not really willing to get up quite yet, but starting to wake a bit.

Mari hummed softly when she felt the boy move around than back against her... well, the best way he could. She couldn't wait until he could curl up against her again... properly. She murmured a gentle good morning to the boy as she turned to rest her head gently against his chest, just under his chin. "You still feel okay?" She asked gently with a bit of a sigh... she hoped he was. She hoped that he was still feeling alright... if he was hurting at all, or his chest felt off, she wanted to know so that she could help him the best she could. Maybe he wanted breakfast or... something, anything to let her know he was still feeling alright.

Sage sort of just hummed sleepily in response to her question, but nodded and moved to rest his chin on her head lightly with a sort of content breath coming from his nose. He'd probably feel alright all the time, as long as he remembered to keep taking the antibiotics the doctor had prescribed him. And there was no way Mari would let him do that...she was right on top of it all. And it wasn't like he was irresponsible or anything...but he wouldn't be surprised if he was sleepy and forgot to take them before going to bed. But with Mari here, that wouldn't happen. Besides, he couldn't really affird to be sick, and he didn't want Mari worried, especially while she was this pregnant. But he was alright, and hopefully he could regain his appetite within a few days. He was already thinner...probably because of his small appetite to begin with.
