Mari shook her head softly at the boy before pecking his cheek when he came to sit next to her. "It's alright," she mused

quielty before getting comfortable. She was hungry... very hungry. She was hurting a little bit now, too, hopefully the doctor would bring her some pain meds at some point. Maybe with their food? She looked down at the child, her smile still huge... she couldn't wait to take her home and show her off to everyone. Her mother would love her, and she was sure Silas would adore her too. Man, he'd be the best big brother. She leaned against Sage quietly before giving a small chuckle. "I can't wait," she told him gently.

Sage smiled softly at her peck and then craned his neck around to look at the baby girl, nodding his head happily. "I can't either," he chuckled. "I spent most of my time with Att and Anya talking about her," he admitted in a rather amused manner. "At least they seemed interested..and Anya said congratulations, by the way," he chirped happily, still just staring at his baby girl. She was absolutely perfect, and he couldn't wait for the family to get together and be able to meet her.

Mari smiled over at him as he watched the... she really was the luckiest girl ever, to have him. To have this whole little family of theirs. Soon enough, the doctor came around with enough food for everyone... and she wa a hungry. She thanked the man and took the plate happily before looking over at Sage. "Well, when you see her say thanks," she chuckled gently when she set the child back in the crib softly.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded at Anyas comment, face lighting up when he saw the food on the plates. He was hungry....he hadn't even realized it, but he was definitely ready for lunch. He gobbled it all down, though Anya had slurped down everything quicker than him. Soon enough though, they'd said their goodbyes and were back at their cozy little home. They'd stopped by her mother's house to tell her she could stop by later and bring Silas back. But now, he was fussing over Mari and Lizzie, making sure they were both ok and comfortable on the couch.

Mari was, admittedly, very excited to be leaving the ward... of course, she struggled to actually move, but it wasn't too be since she was in the cart, she breifly showed her mother the child, and she nearly squealed, but they quickly moved on to settle down in the house before Silas came back with her mother... and probably her siblings, too. She settled down on the sofa once they'd gotten back home, her whole body aching but more than happy to be back home... she couldn't wait to settle little Liz down in the nursery, but for now she just needed a moment to breathe before going to put the child down again.

Sage made sure that Mari was comfortable once they got back to the house, and fussed over her before she shooed him away. Once that happened, he went and fussed over chaos until the stallion was well taken care of, then he ran back to the house to make sure Mari and the baby were alright, and fussed over them some more, before Mari made him sit down. And once he did, he suddenly realized how drained and exhausted he felt, and pretty much just collapsed onto the couch arm with a sigh.

Mari smiled gently towards the boy when he settled down, but had him go out Liz back to bed once she'd been fed again... he soon came back, and she shuffled over to wrap herself around him happily. "Hey handsome," she huffed tiredly as she buried her face into his neck. She was really very happy to have him here... but she was exhausted all the same. "Happy to be home?" She asked with a small smile, moving to grab a blanket that had been thrown over the side of the couch and getting comfortable.

Sage was more than happy to get the little girl settled down in her new room once she'd been fed and had been rocked gently to sleep again. He smiled at Mari when she nuzzled up to him, and wrapped his arms around her happily. He cuddled up into the blanket she drew over them, fighting a quick nap. He hummed happily in response to her comment though, and nodded, resting his head lightly on hers. "Absolutely," he hummed lightly. Then he added. "Why don't you take a nap before your mom gets here," since she seemed tired too, and she'd be the one who'd have to get up and feed Liz through the night probably. He'd do it too, but if she wanted to breast feed the girl, he couldn't do very much for that.

Mari looked over at him with a small smile before nodding, moving to gently wrap her arms around him. It was nice, though... that she could settle down with him so comfortably. At this point about two years ago, now, she would have still been in the doctors ward.. probably still unconscious. Near to death. Things had just gone so well this time around. "Okay," she murmured quietly as she sort of moved so that her head was in his lap, using the couch as a type of bed. "You're so good to me, she whispered as she gazed up at him with a silly looking grin on her face. She soon turned to wrap her arms around his waist, her head still on his lap as she tried to force herself off to sleep.

Sage hummed lightly when she wrapped himself around her, chuckling when she moved to rest her head on his lap. He smiled and leaned over to peck her head happily when she settled down, eventually running his fingers through her hair absentmindedly as she lay there, breathing slowing and steadying. He was tired too, but he really should stay up. Eventually though, Maris soft breaths lulled him off to sleep. Well...no matter. He'd wake up when her mom knocked or came in probably. The door was unlocked so she could always come in if she wanted.

(Might be cute to have the mom come in with them both asleep like that xD)
