Mari and Anthony stormed down to the town once they were sure Liz was all settled, looking around frantically for Sage and her baby boy. A sigh, anything to let her know that they were okay. But... nothing, really. "What was he doing?" Anthony asked curiously. "He was shopping. Grocery shopping, so he'll be at the stalls... or he would have been," she told him, kind of rushing off to the stands... there was nothing for a while, eventually catching sight sight of a very emptied basket, sprawled across an alley.... she wandered over to see one large track, then some wheels from there... she decided to follow... she had a feeling this would be the best option. Or at least one lead. She called her brother before walking along it quickly.

Sage rested for a while, just trying to catch his breath and calm down enough to think, really. It wasn't working all too well...he could no longer hear Silas, which was almost worse than before. He didn't even know if his baby boy was alive or not. The thought made his breath hitch again, and he felt the blood drain from his face. God....if he'd been killed he'd never forgive himself. He wasn't sure he could forgive himself for losing him anyway. He thrashed around again when he heard footsteps coming towards him, and only snarled at the man who spoke to him. He wasn't really paying any attention to them, besides the fact that they were between him and Silas. He hardly even noticed as the whip opened his back up ...he was still fighting, trying desperately to get out and find his boy. He ended up passing out after a long while of relentless, frenzied fighting, his back probably a horrible mess but as of then he didn't even notice, or care.

Mari wondered along next to her brother, her eyes following the tracks as they went on... she didn't realise how off her breathing was until she felt a hand on her shoulder though, one that was trying to comfort her. She was so scared... she didn't want to lose her baby, or Sage. She didn't know what was happening, but she was starting to figure it out... and it really scared her. If someone had taken Sage, or if something had happened to either him or her child... oh, she'd never forgive herself, not ever. She continued on, though... hoping these tracks would lead to something that could help her.

Sage woke up after a while and dragged himself to his feet with a groan. The chains at his wrists were too short for him to sit or lay down, so he'd been hanging awkwardly for a while, and he was definitely sore. His back was obviously bad ..he'd expected that much...his wrists too, and he had plenty of other bruises and cuts every where too. He certainly hoped Silas was better off then he was...though he rather doubted that these men would spare a child anything. The thought really only made him struggle again, though he was still admittedly rather weak...he'd bled more than he'd thought, apparently, according to the pool of it underneath him.

Mari and her brother wandered on, her whole body starting to shake... oh, she was so worried. They soon came across a very... old looking building. But it was well kept, it seemed. The tracks stopped here, and the larger track was into the building. She and Anthony shared a look, he soon trying to convince her to turn around, but she forced him to accompany her... if Sage was in there, if her little boy was in there, then there was no chance in hell that she'd be leaving. She wandered onwards, her brother standing protectively over her shoulder. She knocked on the door, her hands shaking as she moved... she knew something off was going on... but she desperately hoped she'd find her husband here. She hoped he was alright... but if he was going to be anywhere, then it should be here. A burly looking man opened the doors, looking very, very grumpy. She asked if he'd seen anyone of Sages and Silas's description, her voice a bit louder just encase someone was in there... if they needed help, if they could hear her, then they'd give her a sign or... something. She hoped, at least.

Sage had eventually slumped against the wall again, breath coming in ragged gasps. He'd managed to work one arm free of the shackles, but the hand was definitely broken. It hurt like hell, but so did the rest of his body, and he really just was so very desperate to find his boy and then make sure his girls were alright, too. He jumped when he heard a harsh noise...then frowned. Was that a knock? He heard the door open, and squinted ta the sudden light that came from the small doorway, wherever that was. When he heard the girl's voice, he let out a yelp of shock. He almost didn't believe that Mari was there...but who else could it be?

Mari kind of peered past the man, her brows furrowed when she heard a sort of noise... she didn't really clock what it was, though. She man stepped in front of her view, asking if that was all... she didn't reply, and so she was kind of pushed back into her brother. She squeaked a little before gaining her balance again. "I'm looking for my husband. I have reason to believe he may be here?" She noted quietly. There was no real reason, though... just hope. Hope that she'd find him soon. The man denied seeing anything, and she had to just accept it. He wasn't here... where on earth could he be. "Come on, let's look around the outside for anything," her brother suggest gently to her after a few moments, to which she nodded carefully to in response.

By the time sage had come to his senses, the man had already closed the door, and he winced at the now all too familiar darkness. He sighed heavily and then glanced up at the window maybe four feet above him. If he could get to the window ...or get something to the window ....maybe she'd see it and come back. He certainly hoped she would...he couldn't loose her again. She was obviously looking for him and Silas...but if she'd already checked here and didn't find him, she probably wouldn't come back. No, he had to get her attention now. But with what? He tried tossing one of the strips of his shirt that the whip had taken off, but those couldn't go high enough. And...well, it really hurt his hand. He growled in frustration and then frowned. He'd have to yell...but he hadn't had any water for quite some time. He took a deep breath and called her name, then doubled over coughing as his dry throat tried to form words.

Mari and her brother scampered around, though she paused when she heard a slightly disconcerting noise. She ran towards it though, to a small window opened so, so close to the floor. She kind of wed he'd it further open before peering in curiously... only to see a body kind of hanging there. She couldn't make anything out about the person, but there was a kind of shining pool at their feed, which she could only assume to be blood. She called in, then sat back to get a response. Oh, she just wanted to find the rest of her little family. She didn't have a clue where little Silas would be. And, it did scare her. She'd promised to she'd protect him, and Sage for that matter, and that their son wouldn't have to see any of the things that they'd seen. She peered in again, after a few moments, calling in gently. "Sage?" She asked so softly, her voice quivering slightly as she did so.

Sage had caught his breath back after coughing for a moment, though it hitched again when he saw Maris face pop through the window. Well..he sort of just saw a black blob, since the sun was behind her, but he'd know her anywhere. And when she spoke up, it just confirmed it. "Mari," he managed to squeak out when she said his name. "They took Silas...I don't know where he's at or what's happening," he wheezed out, sort of babbling a bit, panicking at the thought of his baby boy somewhere like this, alone and afraid and quite possibly hurt. Or dead. He was so little...if they'd hurt him he didn't know what he could handle. He tried to move towards the window Mari was at desperately again, but the chain pulled him back. Even so, reaching with the broken hand got him close enough to brush some of the girl's hair that was hanging through the bars on the window.
