Mari smiled when she slipped in next to him, but moved to grab a book to read... maybe in a little bit, when then were settling down. She just kind of stared at the wall as they interacted, though. She hoped Liz was alright. She'd never left the girl with anyone else before. Now there was a sudden panic that she needed to make sure the child was alright... could she really not look after anyone properly? Obviously not. She'd ask the doctor if she could have her brought around the next day... so she could ensure everyone was alright.

Sage sort of talked quietly with Silas for a while, really just glad he was alright. He looked over at Mari and frowned when he felt her tense up suddenly...or, rather, he moved his head to look in her direction out of habit and then his frown turned into a brief look of frustration and annoyance before returing to it's normal look. "What's wrong," he asked. "You just tensed up like some thung entered the room with a gun," he teased her gently, though now he'd tensed up too, a worried edge creeping into his voice. What if someone did come in? He couldn't see the door...how would he be able to protect his family if it did happen?

Mari glanced over at Silas, kind of watching him play about on his dad, but moved to grab his arm when he started to bounce around the man's legs. He was injured enough, and he certainly didn't need a child jumping on him. "Careful," she warned before looking back at Sage. "I wanna go get Liz," she murmured. "I feel awful leaving her," she added worriedly before slipping out of bed again. She was going to wait until the next day, but she wasn't sure she'd trust anyone to bring her back safely. "The doctor is a room over, I'll be back soon," she added quickly before padding out the room. She really did hate the idea of leaving sage and Silas... but she hated the idea of leaving Liz even more.

Sage hadn't minded Silas bouncing around, as long as he didn't like...land on his broken hand in the exact right way he'd be alright. His legs were, for the most part, alright. But...it was probably a good idea to warn him to be careful...no doubt it would have hurt quite a bit if hewasn't on plenty of meds. He barely had time to nod in response to her comments before she was gone, and he sort of frowned as his brain caught up before he felt panic start to build in his ches. Though, it evaporated when he heard Silas ask him a question about birds. He chuckled lightly and turned his head so he could see the boy, and sort of just...did what he could to tiredly deal with the younger boy's energy.

Mari seemed to rush down to her mothers house... she knew the girl would be cared for... but she wanted to be the one to care for her. She stormed into the house, going to find the baby girl before grabbing all her things. Her mother came though with a happy looking smile, but she barely even said a word before grabbing the child and storming out again. "Mari, are you not going to stay a while? I can make tea or-" the girl looked at her mother with a wrinkled nose before shaking her head. "Nope. No thanks. I need to get back to them - thank you for caring for her. I'll see you later," she said quickly, and her voice sort of snappy as she made her way back to the castle and to the doctors ward before setting the child up in the room where Silas was.

Sage had keot up with Silas for a long as he possibly could, though eventually he'd stopped listening so much and was just mumbling exhausted nonsense to the boy. Silas had gone quiet after a while, sort of just playing with the edge of a bandage that hand off his chest, and in the silence Sage had sort of fallen asleep. He hadn't meant to, but he really was tired, and Silas seemed to have ever lasting energy. When the boy noticed he was sleepign though, he just crawled onto his chest and curled up, both of them ending up in a rather deep sleep. It was certainly nice though, to be able to curl up with his family again. Though, he did wish Mari, and even little Lizze, were there. But they'd be back soon, he knew that.He normally would have worried....well, he did worry....but the meds calmed him down and muddled his brain enough for him to fall asleep just fine.

Mari raced back to the castle the best she could, but her dropping things on the way over (luckily not the baby) didn't help her growing anxiousness about leaving her husband and son alone. They weren't alone, really, but if she wasn't there that's what it felt like. When she got to the room Silas was staying in, she sat down on the bed and set everything up, her heart thumping oddly in her chest... it did worry her slightly. It wasn't normal for her to be feeling like this, not at all. When the crib was set up well enough, she sat down to control her breathing a little, then picked up the baby in her arms before slowly passing through to the other room.

Sage was still out cold when Mari got back....and Silas hadn't woken up either, even when the woman walked back into the room they were in with baby Lizzie in her arms. Neither of them moved from their position from where they were each sprawled out on the bed, Silas resting lightly on Sage's chest, Sage's arms wrapped protectively around the little boy. Silas was riding and falling softly with each of Sage's breath, which had no doubt helped lull him to sleep. But the little bit of warmth that came from Silas had helped sage calm down a bit too...having someone there with him, even if it was his three year old son....was just grounding.

Mar looked at the two with a small smile across her face... She was a bit stressed, but seeing that Sage and her son were settled did relieve her a little bit. She seemed a little bit happier seeing that. She settled down in the bed, kind of playing with the little girls hair as she stared at her father, as though she was willing him awake... though, it wouldn't happen, Mari did still find it ridiculously sweet.
