Marco watched as the vet left, slipping hi AirPods in and blasting Zach Top as he got chores done.

Once home, Liliana completely shut down. She did her usual chores and cooked, but she didn't ride, barely spoke. She was that empty inside.

Marco didn't even notice her pull up, muttering the songs under his breath as he fed the horses.

She had a hole in the field, and buried the stallion, ignoring all of the other horses.

Marco stopped short as he saw the hole she dug, impressed she got done so quick. "Huh, badass." He murmured, returning back to work.

That night, she made dinner, but stayed in her room, door locked, ignoring everything. She left a one-star on the vet's clinic page, as it wasn't HER vet, but she didn't post any comments.

Marco ate dinner and remembered about a flask, downing the thing before slipping under the covers and passing out.

The next morning, several horses nudged her, but Liliana completely ignored them. She just did her usual work, and turned them out, but no riding, no pets, no affection.

"Morning' lovlies," He noted when he walked in, working most of them well that day.

Liliana barely glanced at him. Her mind knew it wasn't his fault her stallion was euthanized, but her heart was shattered, and that caused her to be different.
