Sage smiled over at her, waving a crepe in the air. "What made you decide to make these," he asked. "You almost never make these," he mused. "And they're delicious," he added, stuffing it into his mouth happily. "You should do it more often," he mumbled through the mouthful of food. He was feeling rather good that morning ....he'd slept pretty well, and felt ok. He was clean, and now he had a very good breakfast. He wasn't exceptionally hungry, but they were delicious, so he was more than happy to eat them.

Mari chucked and flopped her head down with a small huff of air. "Glad you like them," she mused happily. It did make her happy to hear he liked it. She did try. "I make them loads," she retorted softly before shaking her head. She made pancakes a lot... but never really crepes, she supposed. She could get some chocolate to spread on them if she made them more, she supposed. "You're gonna hate me, but since I made you a lovely breakfast, do you think you'd maybe like to try and walk yourself today? Just a few steps so that you can get stronger," she asked him with a slightly sheepish looking smile.

Sage snorted at her comment and then rolled his eyes. "You make pancakes," he retorted. "Which are also very yummy but chocolate is delicious," he noted lightly. It was also sort of unhealthy...but hey, it tasted good, At her next comment though, he wrinkled his nose slightly. "Oh, so that's why I get a good breakfast. It's bribery," he grumbled, though his voice was tinged with amusement. "And I walked to the bathroom yesterday, didn't I," he whined, taking another bite of breakfast and then setting the plate to the side. "I dunno, I might need some more bribery than a few crepes," he hummed, really just teasing her a bit. He felt alright as of then, and it showed he supposed. But he didn't necessarily want to go get up and start walking around...it was hard, and it hurt, even with pain meds. He knew it would be best to do it, of course, so he wouldn't argue too much. But that didn't mean he wanted to do it. At all.

Mari nodded in agreement. "I suppose they are nicer," she murmured thoughtfully before shrugging. She nodded in agreement... it was unhealthy, and chocolate was far from a breakfast material, but it was only a little bit... and it made Sage happy, so they'd live, she was sure. "Yep all bribery," she confirmed with a small chuckle. "You leaned on me the whole way, so don't give me that rubbish!" She huffed to him with a bit of a chuckle. "And I can give you more crepes is that's not enough to bribe you?" She eventually huffed to the boy.

Sage chuckled lightly at her comments, though tried to make a fake serious look at her other comments. "How dare you," he laughed, wagging his finger at her slightly. "I walked a little bit on my own," he huffed lightly. Then he hummed doubtfully and raised an eyebrow slightly. "I dunno," he mused, still really just joking around but also procrastinating a little bit since he didn't really want to get up. "I'm not so sure that'll do it," he chuckled.

Mari snorted in response before shaking her head. "Sage, baby, I basically carried you. You walked the first step from the bed before I had to catch you," she teased him gently before shaking her head... she did find it amusing. He tried a little bit, sure, but the effort went to waste in the end. She cocked her head at him with slightly furrowed brows as she let her head sink into the pillow a little more. "Well all I have to offer is crepes, so if you want anything more you're going to have to find it elsewhere," she told him with a small huff of air. "The doctor is going to come and drag you out whether you want to or not," she then added with a small chuckle.

He snorted but chuckled at her first comment and shrugged. "you grabbed me," he pointed out. "I didn't exactly get a day in it," he teased gently. He probably would have fallen over and hurt himself, yes, but he could still tease a little bit. He groaned slightly and rolled his eyes at her other comments, but moved to sit up and try to get out from under the covers. "Extra dessert will have to do then," he mused, grunting as he sat up. He was sore yes, but also... definitely stiffer than he'd anticipated. "I'm turning into an old man," he groaned as he tried to bend forward and his back pretty much just told him no. Eventually, he managed to get out from under the blankets though, and took a moment...well it was pretty much until he caught Mari giving him a look where he knew he couldn't put it off any longer....to catch his breath. "stand on my...blind side..," he said said, the words twisting his face slightly. "Don't really feet like loosing a fight with a wall," he grumbled, moving to try and stand up.

Mari rolled her eyes at him. She knew he was teasing, and they both knew what would happen if she hadn't grabbed him. She got up and out of bed, ready to help him as he slowly slipped out of bed. She gently ran her hand down his side to let him know she wa there to grab him if need be, but he had to be able to get up and walk around a little bit himself. He would, she was sure, but it may take a few moments. Once he was up, she smiled lightly and moved to peck his cheek with a gentle hum. She told him well done before helping him walk a few steps forward. "Now see if you can get to the otherside of the bed without help. I'll be there encase you need me, don't worry though," she added happily before letting go of his arm, though her arms were stretched out to him so that she was ready incase he needed her.

Sage had to admit, it was a bit more of a struggle to get up than he'd originally anticipated. But, he eventually managed it....and he had to admit that having Mari there on his blind side did help with his confidence quite a bit. Not that he was confident he could get up and move around...but at least she'd try to catch him if his body decided it wasn't doing any more work. And he wouldn't run into anything. He was already sweating by the time she'd helped him along, and he groaned when she asked him to try and do some by himself...but he had to get back to the bed somehow, and he heasitated for a moment as panic shot through his body as she let go. Though, once he calmed himself down he could still feel her body warmth there, so he forced himself to take a few steps until he could reach forward and grab the bed post, practically collapsing back onto the mattress with a grunt, panting and clearly exhausted. "I'd better get a shit ton of dessert for this," he grumbled, though he was rather pleased that he'd managed to walk, even if it was only a little bit. And it probably showed in his tone of voice.

Mari held her hand so that they were ready to catch him if need be, but thankfully they were all good... oh, and she was so pleased with Sage. She knew it was hard for him... it hurt, but he'd have to start doing a little bit every day so that he kept his blood flowing so that he healed quicker. When he flopped on the bed, she chucked before shaking her head. "Well done," she chirped before flopping down next to him. "That was good!" She then added, and went to peck a light kiss to his lips before standing up again. "I'll go make some for you now if you'd like," she chuckled happily.
