Sage sort of limped along, stopping at Snowball's stall and sitting down on a hay bale with a grunt, trying to catch his breath. The mare sort of waddled over and stuck her nose out to him, and he patted her forehead softly. "still got that baby in ya," he asked with a slight chuckle, noting how large the mare's barrel currently was. "Itll feel great to have it out, i bet, huh girl," he mused lightly. He sat there for a moment before moving on down the stalls, sort of just saying hi to all the horses. He found Anthony after a bit and greeted him happily, though he had to crane his head around to see him, since he was currently up in the hay loft, which made him rather difficult to see. Really, sage only knew he was there because he'd heard him.

Mari smiled lightly as she watched the kids... she did hope that Sage was alright. She knew she couldn't alsways worry about him, and she was getting better, but it was still a bit... odd. She'd been around him for so long over the last few weeks, and suddenly it felt like she never saw him at all. She did see him, a lot, but it was just a bit odd that she wasn't helping him everywhere. Good, she supposed, but odd. Anthony would help him, though, as soon as he was told.

Sage sort of squinted up at Anthony for a bit before giving up. "I can't see you up there," he called up with a slight chuckle. "come down here." He waved the older boy over and plopped down on a bale of hay with an exhausted grunt as he waited. It would be good to talk with him though....he hadn't seen much of him recently, and no doubt the older boy had been worried about their little family.

Anthony looked at the voice curiously before grinning down at him. He kind of climbed down before humming happily. "Look at you, all up on your feet," he chirped before climbing the rest of the way down and patting him on the back. "You took a spill, didn't ya," she chirped lightly to him. It was nice to see him on his feet, though... he seemed happy enough. It seemed like he was going to be in that he would be in that hospital forever.

Sage chuckled lightly at the older boys comment and grinned over at him. "I walk like an old man," he responded in a rather amused tone of voice. Then he shrugged. "And the cat helps," he added, pointing to Amber, who had by now pushed her way onto his lap, purring happily as he stroked her. "Honestly I feel better just being at home," he admitted with a slight chuckle. "though, even being at home won't help me see any better," he grumbled, mostly to himself, but he didn't quite care if Anthony heard him....he'd have to know eventually, after all.

Anthony grinned boyishly before shrugging. "You've always walked like an old man," he mused before sitting on the haybale that he'd just chucked down. He nodded in agreement at his comment. "I suppose that tracks. Being able to sleep in your own bed is pretty wonderful," he murmured lightly, kind of eyeing the wound on the side of his face... he'd seen it happen, and his comment about being able to see kind of tracked. "Yeah, I would assume it wouldn't be overly handy," he mused lightly before rolling his eyes. "So you've lost your sight then? In both eyes? I assume that's not the case, since you're walking around and all," he mused to his friend.

Sage rolled his eyes with a snort at Anthony's comment, nudging him slightly with his elbow. "You're older than I am," he teased him lightly. He nodded lightly when Anthony said his own bed was better than the doctor's office. He grunted and nodded in response to his next comment, humming slightly. "somehow Amber has figured out all that and walks where I can't see...moves me around things and such," he chuckled, stroking the cats head fondly. He shook his head when Anthony asked if it was both eyes, and grunted again. "Just the one," he I formed the older boy. "It could have been a lot worse, I suppose," he muttered. "But it's hard enough as is.... especially when everything is still sore. Walking around isn't exactly fun. But I wanted to see the horses," he noted with a slight shrug.

Anthony rolled his eyes at him before shrugging. "The difference is that I'm still stunning and you're going grey already," the boy chuckled lightly. He kind of cocked his head as he listened to the boy... it did make sense. He'd need shot in the head, and he supposed this was the best outcome of that situation. It did worry him, though... they'd been planning to have Sage working with the yard, bringing money in and the likes... but in all truth it seemed a bit far fetched now. Would his sister be alright? It was just sight in one eye. He'd get used to it soon enough... but he wasn't sure how long that'd take. "I'm sure you'll be back to normal in good time. You're normally pretty good at that sort of thing," he shrugged after a little while.

Sage snorted at the boys first comment and eyed him up and down. "If you like wrinkles, maybe," he teased lightly. Though, he sighed and nodded in response to the older boys other comments. "You and mom both keep saying that," he noted with slight amusement, going back to petting Amber when she nudged his stilled hand with her nose. "The issue is, I don't want to have to relearn everything," he groaned. "It's more annoying than anything," he admitted.

Anthony glared at him before giving a little chuckle. "Wrinkles?! I'm twohundered and nineteen pounds of pure muscle! My skin isn't wrinkled, it's stretched," he mused lightly. "You, on the other hand, are pruning up," he huffed after a few moments. He rolled his eyes at him after a little while. "We're all related, we're all gonna say the same thing," the boy huffed. "You don't have to relearn that much. I mean, it's still gonna be different but you can still see. At least you're not completely blind," he mused.
